I was just wondering.... how does ISS make ISK off of the outpost? When I went there to go and have some fun :) I noticed a couple of bad things. Okay first..... HED.... you have to go through.... WTF who ever thought that would not be camped a lot of times and was the "ISS Navy" supposed to clean it out? I then made my way to the outpost (HED was not camped but then was on my return visit.) I then was at the outpost and laughed becuase... nobody was there for about 2 hours... so I got bored and left. Just out of curiosity, how do you expect to pay back ~30b when u make about 2m a month of the outpost

tbh with curse and stain full of so many NPC stations. It would be more profitable for ISS to have just set up a T2 market at one of the NPC stations.

It doesn't. The shareholders make money.

well how does the shareholders make money, I am interested in trading at the outpost, I would like to see a chart of how much is has made to the "share-holders" and how much has actually visited and traded at the outpost, becuase frankly I don't think it is worth the effort, now I know you have these statistics becuase as a stock holder i would demand it, and you could deny me access to this information, so I could take my buisness elsewhere. |

Actually, we don't have those statistics yet, because the outpost hasn't even been open for a full calendar month yet. Try again after December 1st, when the shareholders can report back on what dividends they're getting.
And, tbh, if you were interested in trading at the outpost, declaring war on us really wasn't the way to achieve it. You could've just asked.

Summary of original post: "Rabble Rabble Roar Yell! I don't get free iskies so i hate on people with my alts."
Summary of how ISS shareholders make iskies from Marginis: 1) The Ponderosa Steakhouse on the roof. 2) The stripclubs and pubs in the basement 3) People who dock humongously obese battleships and then complain that it wasn't free
I've bought and sold on Marginis and thus far things have been busy. Yeah it's not an empire station so I have to go to Rens to buy my Quafe Ultra but hey, anywhere i can dock in 0.0 is a welcome ammenity to me :)
/me waves to the other Main's

Being a fan of short stories and coctails, I particularly enjoyed the way the author captured the wild hallucinations of an Absynthe-ee.
Edit: There are some drinks the forum filter just doesn't apprecitate.

Um yes they were the first to put up an "Outpost" ISS are the first to put up a "station" if you look at the original post I was replying to it implied that ASCN had put up a station.... now maybe I am being dense but is that not what I was pointing out?

Edited by: Professor McFly on 24/11/2005 17:45:16 Marginis is an OUTPOST . Players can only build Outposts. Outposts are called that and not stations simply to show that they are smaller than the real big huge npc stations in the game.
They need to add some kind of filter to this forum, so when an alt makes a dumb thread like this, their main gets insta-recycled.

Player built stations are POS's as they are usually called in their shorterned form. Everyone and their mum has one and the ISS definatly were not the first to have one.
Player Built outposts are what the ISS and ASCN and other alliances have built. Currently ASCN has Minmitar outposts (the refining ones) and the ISS has a Gallente outpost (lots of office slots) which is the first gallente one in eve. However ASCN had the first outpost in eve full stop.
All we are left to see are the caldari and ammar outposts. Actually has a caldari one been built already i swear someone or maby the devs had built one for the events ppl.

When people say POS they are generally referring to the anchorable Control Towers + related buildings for moon mining, not outposts.

ASCN built the first outpost in EVE. We can't match that - it's kinda hard to repeat being the first ever of something
ISS have built the first Gallente outpost, but that's not a significant fact. What we like to consider as significant, is that we have build the first publicly-owned outpost.
