This evening saw the racers compete in the Sinq Laison region. Here is an outline of the Track:
Starting position: Vylade VII - Moon 6 - Federation Navy Logistic Support
1. Gratesier - VIII - Asteroid Belt 5 2. Egghelende VI - Moon 18 3. Pozirblant - Sun 4. Jolia - Grand Future Information Center 5. Crielere Research Facility Ruins 6. Carrou VII - Ice Field 1 7. Decon VII (Planet)
Ending position: Balle VII- Moon 17 - Center for advanced Studies School
Sinq Laison Race Results 1st - The Gent - Executioner (72mins) 2nd - Teo Kiesh - Vigil (76mins) 3rd - coronna - Vigil (76mins) Dis - Kurasoe - Executioner
Race Casualties: 1 Pod, 2 Executioners - Kurasoe 1 Vigil - Teo Kiesh
Summary Sinq Laison region managed to be the second most lethal race thus far in the racing league, immediately claiming two ships at the second waypoint in Egghelende for the The Pirate Coalition gatecamps. After enduring the first onslaught, Kurasoe was ambushed by yet another gatecamp en route to the third waypoint, where his life and ship were taken. The remaining racers endured little hardship from that point forward, barring a destroyed can at the last waypoint, which initially cost coronna's sizeable lead against Mr. Kiesh. The Gent's determination and stubborn determination enabled him to nick this week's first place position, pushing his corporation ahead in the League standings.
This was a very close race and congrats to all the pilots who participated!
Here is are this week's standings for the GLS Racing League:
1st - Gradient (55pts) 2nd - Convergent (50pts) 3rd - Alcatraz Inc.(45pts) 4th - F.R.E.E. Explorer (20pts) 5th - Caldari Independent Navy Reserve (15pts) 6th - The Artemis Protectorate (10pts) 7th - Synergy. (0pts) 7th - Virtruvius Runner (0pts)
Season Pot: 1,700,000.00 isk
Stay tuned for announcements in the next week regarding the location of the next league race, where in two weeks time we will meet again.
Corporations interested in signing up should contact me (Kaleigh Doyle) for more information. We have unlimited positions open and there's always room for more who wish to take part. It's never too late to participate!

My Dearest Kaleigh,
I have been watching the race results and wish the Durandal Strauss Company (DSC) had a little more history and resources. Your events seem to really fit in with our motto of seizing the essence of life. I have proposed to our Board of Directors some sort of on-going relationship with Glamour and this race event. I have put this up for a stock vote this week.
Two questions: If we were to join Glamour, would we be able to enter the race as a corp? ( I assume no. ) If we were to join Glamour, could we sponsor a racer as an advertisement promotion? ( Again - I assume no. )
(For those reading and wanting to race and needing a sponsor, we may not participate this season - but will begin research in supporting the creation of a racing ship. Being primarily a Caldari corp, of course we would like to support our standing tradition of having the best ships in the Galaxy. I am sure making(purchasing) the fastest will not be much of a challenge for our superior technology. Eve-mail me (Del Phineas) if you are a racer and would like to develop this mutually beneficial racing relationship with DSC. If there is a lot of response, we may vote on selection of racers.)
Kaleigh, once again, thank you for putting in the hard work developing the league.

Ms. Phineas, thank you for showing interest in the Racing League, and I'd be more than happy to answer your questions.
There are a number of ways to get involved with the league, however all of them require some distance from the Glamour Syndicate itself on the basis for neutrality and fairness to the participants.
The most direct method is actually competing in the races on behalf of your corporation, and it really doesn't require much isk to participate. As the Gent exhibited last race, a tech 1 frigate with tech 1 mods can go a long way. Some of our less fortunate racers have lost their lives and cloning contracts far exceed the payouts for the races at the moment with so few competitors. That has the potential to change of course as the more racers means a larger cash pot and single event payouts for placing 1st to 3rd.
A more indirect method of participating is to add a contribution to the season pot as a sponsor with isk or prizes, subsidize another racing team with isk or equipment to participate in the race, and/or advertize on the GLS Racing League's behalf. The first and final options should be coordinated through myself, while the second option is between you and the team who wishes to participate.
The Glamour Syndicate as a megaconglomerate generally sets a high standard for fellow corporations under its wing, reserved for entities that share it's outlook(roleplay, long term goals) and have a prior history of cooperation between its operators. If you'd like to know more about our organization, feel free to visit us here. GLS corporations again are not allowed to race or directly influence the racers with contributions or aid, especially during racetime in order to ensure fairness to all the competitors.
I look forward to hearing more from your corporation in the future. Until then, the Syndicate wishes you the best in your endeavors.
xoxo

Hey KD,
After talking it over with Del (my Foster sister who needs an ambush makeover - sorry Del - it is true) with a glass of that horrid Durandal Tea between us, I have solved her temporary problem. She is a very vicarious person and loves to enable indirectly those who fulfill her dream of adventure -> if you could not tell.
Anyhow, the solution is clear -> I will purchase stock of Durandal Strauss Company with a book value of 500k a piece and provide them to sweeten the pot of your Racing Events.
Since your season has already started, it is a bit late to incorporate this into your rules without some disharmony. However, that is not my problem - I give this problem to you as the organizer. I will transfer over the stock at my next available opportunity. Parcel them out as individual prizes or as part of the Grand Prize - I leave that up to you.
"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder - I like to create metal sculptures in space personally - with my favorite tool / my best friend / my ship."

Thanks for participating Katrina, I'll be sure to include the stocks with the season pot at the end of the racing season. And sure Owi, to sweeten the race we'll add your 15mil to the season pot as well.
Update:
The GLS Racing League's sixth race is being scheduled for 21:00 GMT on Saturday, March 4th in the Essence region, the final region in the Federation tour of the league.
I'm going to begin allowing the teams to fly in pairs- that is two racers per team. That means there's a potential to earn more points but the contribution to the pot will increase, and it may also add some intrigue to the races.
Consider this an 'experiment' of sorts, so it may not carry over into subsequent races.
Slots are still available for corporation's wishing to participate, and those interested should contact me via standard eve-mail.
Thank you, xoxo

at what race the 2 pairs rule will be accetped , with the next upcomin ?
and what the f*** you mean with intrigue ? though we want a fair race .. manipulating the result of a race wouldt be way bad ! But i think you know what you do and dont break the rulez you made :) .
Quote: 6. ...Any tampering with the cans or the bookmarks will result in the expulsion of said participant/corporation from the league.
10. Participants are not allowed to shoot their competitors until the race begins, nor are they allowed to call in support from their allies during the race under penalty of expulsion. This includes camping the starting location to kill war targets.

One pair per team Owi: 2 racers per corp if applicable. And yes, this coming race is when it starts next.
When I said intrigue, I meant there's a different dynamic with two racers per corp versus one. I didn't imply anyone was going to be cheating; the rules still apply the same to the competitors.
To clarify regarding the teams: Corporations score on the highest finishing partner; the pair do not accumulate points separately for the team. For example, say Gradient's team finishes 1st and 4th, only the 1st place score is counted towards the season, and the first place finisher recieves the race reward to split however that team agreed upon it.

Yes I have...and I may do that on exhibition races. Regular League races will explore the individual regions for the first season though.
