Guys, consider that any font in RMR must feature all Unicode chars (16 bit). ALL. So the number of font available is very limited, and I am sure CCP tried a lot of them. I can life with the current RMR font BTW.

UTF-16 or Unicode 16bit is quite limited and can not display new up-comming charsets encoded in UTF-32 or Unicode 32bit. So the choice should be to use UTF-8 which can handle an unlimited number of charsets.
Anyways, the RMR font is not sooo bad anymore. I haven't read many item descriptions yet but for the usual UI its quite readable (after you get used to it).

the font isnt too bad on menu's etc (personal preference i guess). But changing the font on the "Warp Drive Active" sequence was a bad move, i loved the classical style font they used in cold war!

It's not a matter of taste or if I like it or not. I just cannot read it! It's all blurring before my eyes and I get headache after a short time of playing.
I had no problems with the old font, so please bring it back!

I have poor eyesight and am amoungst other things extremely short sighted.
Dispite this I could read the old font comfortably even on a medium size setting.
Now. Ouch! I dont know about you folks with 20/20 vision but this font is terrible and difficult and painful to read. :(
And this is on a 19inch monitor running at 1024x768!

This font is terrible! It's blurry, hard to read, and after a while my eyes actually begin to hurt!
The community opinion was made VERY clear on this the last time they tried it - why, CCP, can you not just leave the damned in-fonts in a readable, non-blurry, non-crap format?!
This is pretty much a crux issue for me - if they don't do something about it, I'm not hurting my eyes playing this game any more, and I'll have to quit. I know that sounds dramatic, but it's the truth...

1. Fonts must based on points size, not on pixels.
2. Customizable fonts family and size.

I had trouble reading the font until I set it to "wide" on the ESC menu...might be something to try if you find it hard to read.

ß couple of months ago they have olso trying this crazy font, end now they trying it again, thats for me the sign that CCP dont listening at all of the users of EVE itsels.

LOL, Well I can still use my playful, yet annoyng font in the game. And really It doesn`t make any difference to me I kinda sorta like this font, doesn`t seem to have changed to me. But then again I`m not very observate on fonts, as they all look alike to me. -¦w åhe$ 岦F åhså ç ós± $åell ¦$F e± åhF gsmF, e$ wFll ⦱ ²Få s±±¦²e±g. ç lekF eå «Fsll² ç d¦. And the fact that I can use it well, guess what I'm well happy that I can.

I used to use small fonts but now I have to use large with gigantic windows to read anything and I have no clue what the hell is going on with my scanner.

and yes I agree the default looks crap
How ignorant con one be. no matter the setting there is for example no visible difference between an 0 ad a D. and 8D reads like 80D. The comma (dot un the USA) ain't clearly either, no matter the font width. The font is simply to much compressed, yelling that is the players fault and that they dont have their setting right is clueless at best and trolling at worst!

I think the font render code is the problem. When you check individual characters in a screenshoot you see all shades of grey as if something tried hard to anti-alias the font. (I have anti-aliasing off btw)
