I do have to ask, how long did it take people to get 1bn ISK.
While I doubt that I'll ever achieve take (can't even make 100m ISK) I do have to ask how long it took people.
Or are all the Freighter pilots in the game sell PLEX? |

Depends on what you do.... One afternoon of exploration got me over 1.3bill. Though that is rare for me it is still steady enough to let me whelp ships onto T3 linked gangs.
Play EvE how you want to play it and do not let others dictate how you play. Evolve your playstyle to protect yourself from others! Even in "PVE", "PVP" is there, lurking in the shadows. |

It can take less than a day. But considering your post on the forums so far you might need to go the plex route.

Incursions will earn you a hundred million easily per hour.
First billion took about a month as sp were too low to support big plans. ISK flowed in after about a month thanks to l4's.

Flip PLEXs if you have good trading skills it passes time or can be done while you do something else, remote trading.
Also buy up a region and hike the prices up very high, then for a short period you get massive profit and the rest you can dump once people haul more in then buy them up in a price war cheaper. Repeat wrinse laughter.

With good multitasking. (1 Tengu + 1 Noctis alt) you make ~ 100m in 30 minutes in a Class 4 wormhole.
So at that rate, 5 hours of straight ratting.
The sort of Tengu you need for that will set you back around 2B at least though. So a bit of a catch 22 there. |

I hit 1 bil in a Myrm doing L3s - and then pretty much stopped doing missions as I was bored with them  |

Low level sites in the drone regions in a BC is slow but after loot, salvage and bounties it is at least 10 m a site. Takes 15-30 minutes, if you have mining skills the roads are good. A haul from Jita to where I'm at is like 45 jumps and it is 400/m3 to move cargo one way. All professions pay good at the high level and not so much at the beginning. |

there is no real answer to that, it really depends on what and how you do.
sometimes i happened to make 2 billions in a couple hours, sometimes i just make 200 millions.
some activities reward more than others... there is no fixed way to say you will make X isk / hour by doing THIS most of the time, only a few activities allow this, and even those are subject to the market value of various items.
for example, a good lvl4 runner can expect around 200 and 300 millions / afternoon, but there again it depends how fast you run them, if you salvage or not, etc.... a bad runner / not enought skilled would need and afternoon to run a single mission for 20 millions, while a vet witha machariel and a noctis, will mabe do this in 15-20 minutes......
and you have many many other things earning isk in eve, so.....
sometimes, you just gt lucky, and blow up a shiny fit wich loot for several B in 5 minutes when you pvp....then you will take 2 weeks to make 100m worth of loot, maybe even more.. |

there is no moral in eve, get use to it.
rule 1 in eve: don't undock what you can't afford to loose / replace

I did a TON of blitz L3's and cherry picked L4's in a Drake for a few weeks to save up for a CNR (was around 460 mill back then) as I had some play time, and it didn't feel grindy back then. It's very safe, but tedious. It really comes down with how much monotony your brain can put up with.
If you can switch off higher brain functions when needed, missions are steady isk. After a year I find it much harder to do missions for isk. I much prefer playing the drop lottery and hunt missions or plexes that might have good drops. ISK making is very random, but I don't care about the isk, I'm just doing it to idle away time when I don't have a better activity available.
I suddenly woke up thinking I had a nightmare, then remembered I can't even fly Amarr Battleships.

1 day (~10 hours) - null sec ratting in a T1 BS + Oracle sniping alt. (You can get more in this time frame, luck again - Faction spawns) |

I remember the frustration when I first started out.... Lots of ratting in .5 or mining or missions. Took forever to get my first BS. Yes, I did rat/mine in a BS 
I suggest joining a corp that has access to 0.0. Ratting or mining there can make more, as do the anonom's.
There are other "ways" to make crazy money... Keep looking and you will find it.

In Gallente Faction Warfare there is a way to make 320,000 ISk per Loyalty Point. Since it's possible to obtain approximately 25,000 - 30,000 LP per hour, approximately 70 -90 Million ISK per hour can be made. Therefore it can take a Gallente Militia Pilot as little as 11-12 hours to make 1 Billion ISK. Not counting the market LP turn in and Alt run to market, which takes another hour more or less.
The current state of Gal/Cal faction warfare has put pressure on the supply and prices have increased as a result. Loving the current state of the war. |
