Took me about a month, hauling and trading goods in highsec.
This was about 4 years ago, when I just started.
Nowadays, I idle waay too much, and still make 1-2B a month. if I were to put in more effort, I'd probably be pushing 5-6 easy, and if I'd get really serious, 10B a month should be doable.

i made enough isk to buy plex in my 2nd month of playing...i think my 1st month i mostly did lowsec courier running, but then got into mining? so i'm not sure which one it was that made me the money, but both are pretty good (unless you get ganked with a high collateral courier onboard) |

I have yet to actually have that amount in my wallet, but I've made a TOTAL of a billion by hisec mining over the course of maybe 4 or 5 months.

If low-sec and null-sec was as populated as high-sec could one make just as much or likely more ISKs in a day than in high-sec.
These billions of ISKs then do not come from game mechanics (ISK wells), but these come from players and it rather costs taxes and fees. Anyone who hates players who make billions with trading also hates all the players who give their ISKs to the traders. The traders in hubs like Jita then keep the prices low and everyone wins. I was given my first 1bil isk, From a Member of Outbreak (Pyrosoft - the toon has since been sold)
I guess he felt sorry for me, I learned to pvp by heading to null sec and losing Rifter after Rifter to Outbreak.

PLEX Cards (buy wih real money sell for ingame money, you are literly creating A LOAD of money out of nowhere), wormholes, incursions, and faction warfare (due to alot lower LP cost and very easy to get thoes said LP's, if at t3 or t4 its just an godly amount, but theres even a T5 u can get to )

Hm, 1b liquid isk. The first time that comes to mind was when I saved up for a Machariel and fit, for incursions. Then, every subsequent time I sat down and incursioned for a day.
To actually get the first bill, it took me somewhere around a month running level 4 missions, and spending very little. |

I've been playing for about a month and a half. During that time I have earned approximately 210 mil isk. In my first 14 days (free trial period), I earned about 24 mil isk. I spent about 17 mil on a Navy Comet and fits. I did some quests and got some loot, ships, and cash. I mined ore (veldspar - before I knew any better).
I began saving for a Retriever and fits. I had saved up approximately 34 mil and bought my Retriever. I was on my way to pick up a part in a low sec station when I got ambushed - in my Navy Comet. *sigh* Got killed; lost my ship. I got the part in Dodixie instead, but I had to pay 300K more for it than that Low Sec place. That part cost me 1.5 mil isk (plus my lost Navy Comet and fits - 17 mil isk).
I fitted the Retriever and began mining in earnest. I made back the cost of the Retriever and fits, and bought a new Navy Comet (I like it's aggressive looks). As of this post, I have 71 mil isk in the bank. All told however, earned cash, ships and loots in my hanger (including the lost ship), I estimate my total earned is 210 mil isk.
Now if I were to do some extrapolation... I'd guess it would take me about 1.5 months to earn 200 mil. 200 mil x 5 = 1bil, so 5 x 1.5 months = 7.5 months to earn my first bil isk. However, that would include loots in hangers, bought and lost ships, etc. I may only have half a bil isk in the bank at that time......... Or maybe my losses will be greater, and I'll have even less cash than that.....

It took me about a month to reach 1b liquid, but I bought a PLEX, which put me half way there. Eve is like real life in the sense that it takes money to make money. Once you have some isk and find your niche you can make serious bank if you put your mind to it.
