out of boredom i manually patched my test directory up to 3795. i can select either tranq or sing server with that client and get a valid message back.
unfortunately it says the cluster size for tranq is (0) and sing (300)..both of which stay full.
someone find a cure for boredom!!

umm..so when/where did it say "you will definately be able to download the patch earlier than 20:00"? i miss a lot sometimes so it may have gone right past me..correct me if i'm wrong, though.

this means that even WITH the delay, the servers will come back up an hour and a half before i get home from work! woohoo!
(finally, a pro for being american!)

OMG LOL...
I think that would actually be extreemly dangerous. In fact i think if this downtime last much longer there is going to be thousands of crazy, wired, animalistic EVE addics battering down the doors to the CCP offices in an attempt to 'fix the damn TQ server' themselves.
CCP, maybe about time to get the national guard to set up a camp around the CCP offices?
i will confess..if i get home tonight and have to play anything BUT eve like i did all night last night (thankfully the world has found THC), then i might very well excercise my "hypocritical" human virtue and start swinging at my monitor or keyboard as well (the mouse can't take another flight across the room).
i promise if that happens i won't let it bleed through onto the forums though. I'll take it out on Blizzard..

so why not do it the old way ? there was no need at all for the 24hr DT
isn't that assuming all patches are equal in size, content and complexity?

i just hope they don't track the number of times you try to connect. i'd be really embarassed to see how many times i've clicked "connect->ok->repeat" on the test server in the last hour.. 
EDIT: WOOHOO! I'm in on the test server!! (my poor class)
