Like others, I can't read the new font, even when set to wide. More importantly, I noticed that increasing the font size to compensate in the chat box only affects the scrolling part of the text window, not the input portion. The latter is still really tiny, like 5-6pt @ 1200x900 in windowed mode on a 1280x1024 LCD. Also, the formatting control bar on the chat window (bold, ital, etc.) seems to be missing. That was helpful, if not essential.
The larger issue is that toons from the buddy list are not showing up with the green "online" icon when they are, in fact, online. I was chatting with two buds and their indicator was red in both the chat and addy book windows. They experienced the issue also. Obviously, this has major implications WRT peeps you want to encounter or avoid. Please fix ASAP.
Thanks.

The fonts won't change because they had to be made to unicode standards. I at first had problems with the fonts, but after adjusting them a bit, I am having no eyestrain. Best to set them to large and wide.
Hopefully they'll introduce the ability to change the fonts in the future...

Just because you couldn't get a ship to do what you wanted doesn't mean it's a crap ship - it means you're a crap pilot of that ship.

Science & Industry:
If possible f÷r two players starting manufacturing (and lab, i presume) jobs to select the same assembly line. The player who is last to hit "ok" gets his job qued, which potentially can be a 30 day wait. There should at least be a warning/info in this kind of situation.
Might throw in a feature request at the same time... The "Jobs" status screen should have a column showing the number of runs inserted, and an <i>nfo button for the blueprint inserted.

I just noticed something in regard to the lagg, or rather chug. When I'm near a gate or a station with a lot of ships and other stuff I got chops and drops in my framerate every second or so. It was really annoying, but then I pressed <tab> to minimize the overview and the choppiness stopped. I had consistently high fps even in crowded areas. I also noticed that if I scale down the overview so it wouldn't display as many ships, that reduces chop as well.
It might be an issue with sluggines with sorting all of the entries every second or so.

Maps. Looking at the maps and playing with settings managed to lose the overview and other stuff. This never happened with the previous client.
And control-tab (viewing mode) isn't working. DONT just try it now, cause I couldn't get back from it easily, and you might be stuck and then quickly dead.
Seems the rat tracking settings aren't saving between logs.

Perhaps someone can help me out here:
> When firing on npc rats (in encounter missions) I get flagged for 15 minutes. So blasting a pirate, helping Concord now actually makes you a criminal? I can still dock though and dont draw fire from Sentry guns, but still, I hate wearing a big bulls-eye 'cause I'm a rather new player (+/- 1M sp's). > I have to manually ad each type of enemy to overview. Is there a way to make them automatically appear on overview?

You're being flagged as criminal to the NPC corporation of the rats. This is the exact same behavior as in previous patches, but since the UI update, you can now see all of your criminal flags. Nothing has changed, except for that fact that you now see all of your criminal flags. So, no player is free to shoot at you for shooting at rats.

Again fonts were screwed. :(
English font in chat is too small! If you play in 1600x1200 resolution, middle sized font is too small and bad for the eyes. If you choose largest possible font size, the letters are too big, and take too much space on the screen. C'mon devs, do you really have 52" monitors or do you never test patches in resolution higher then 1024x768? Is it not that simple just to do it properly once? With every major patch, we are forced to face these problems with fonts.
Font is good, but make it a little bit large in chat windows. Please! _______________________________________________ If ifs and ands were pots and pans, I would grow mushrooms in my pants. |

Chatboxes seems to be on top of everything now. If you want to check the escrow for example then the chat boxes is over the escrow window and you cant see everything. It doesnt work to click the escrow window to get it over the chat boxes like you used to do. Fix please.

well got to login point (dial up here) and guess what takes 1.9MB and counting just to log in. Im hoping this isnt a return to the previous times where it took forever on the initial log in each time just hoping its a cahce thing that is happening first time round - i know at one point it all the optimisations had it down to 20-30 seconds. Any thouhgs anyone else finding this happening

Seeing something similar. Rats show up as something like "Asteroid Belt whatever whatever", so they don't make the filter. I had to right-click on one and add it to Overview.
I wasn't awake enough to check the filter settings to see if I could add "Asteroid Belt whatever whatever" from there. If so, then I've got to take some time to redo my filters.

I've only seen two things so far, but then I haven't even ventured out into space yet (waiting until things seem to be running a bit smoother before I dare!).
1. I can't right-click on my ship in the station to bring up the menu for cargo/drones etc. Workaround seems to be changing station environment settings, but the problem is back next time I log in. 2. Lots of the numbers look the same on my item stacks... it's very hard to distinguish between some of them. This probably counts as a font issue; I've played around with the settings but can't find any way of making it clearer. Also some of the text now appears quite dim on my screen - no longer white & bright.

My problems are: - the font. (I don't see why Unicode support means it has to be unreadable.. An 'a' looks the same in both cases, it's just that more glyphs are available, the glyphs for characters from the 'Latin' section of Unicode can look identical to the glyphs for characters from an ASCII character set as far as I can see)
- the lag/jump issues. Every so often on a jump, there's severe lag (or maybe a lockup) when entering the new system. Sometimes it recovers after a few minutes, and sometimes it needs logging out and back in (or maybe I'm too impatient). I just had a 4 minute wait entering a station as well.
FPS is essentially unchanged for me. It might be slightly better, but that might be due to a different set of other software on the PC.

Production is completely borked, canned, and spit on atm.
I tossed in a Raven, a Dominix, and an Armageddon last night (not counting the 7x250MM rails)
I can't find any of my produced items thats a few hundred mil right there missing - i kinda would like to find it again
No, its not in any of my corp hangers at HQ, nor is it in my personal hanger, my frieghter, or anywhere else 3 battleships could fit....
...except of course the Bug Bin.

Thnx for clearing that up for me Clyt . Still leaves me with the empty overview though, but perhaps it will remember every factionship type I put in manually over time.

This is, without question, the most unreadable font I have ever seen. The chat is completely impossible to read even with the Wide spacing. It looks mostly like something out of an old Andrew Braybrook C64 game. Thick horizontals and verticals make the text in chat windows appear like a textured surface, making it nearly impossible to distinguish individual chat lines from oen another.
I understand that it may boil down to a Unicode issue, but come on - this pitiful excuse of a font just isn't worthy of EVE Online. There are better solutions to the unicode problem, I'm certain of that.
