Uber was a bad choice of words. Generally I'd rather have the repair ability than only being able to tank one or two specific damage types, but that's just my opinion.
It's also not the point. I ran the mission again with 2 thermal and 2 kinetic energised plates. Even with 70% therm/kin resists and a single repper my tank is down in 19 seconds, which isn't enough time to lock and kill one of the Delta II frigates. Another couple of days I'll have those resists up to 84%, which I work out as giving me another maybe 6 or 7 seconds before I need to warp.
Is this really the level of difficulty the missions are aimed at? Do I need to come back with a few million more SP under my belt and a T2 setup? All the other level 3 missions I've run are laughable easy in comparison. If this is meant to be a level 3 mission, why am I getting it so early from a low quality agent? Surely a gradient of difficulty across the range of agent quality would be more approriate than random assignment of missions?

I feel the need to necro this thread, and yes, another complaint about Portal to War (2 of 5).
Like many others, no other mission so far (up to level 3) has given me any trouble. In fact, they're all horrificily easy and boring. I did one of the new level 3 "cosmos" or "mission series" or whatever they're called twice, the one where you have to retrieve the Gallente Reporters or whatever. Ridiculously easy.
But this mission, made absolutely no sense whatsoever. Like many others, it only took about twenty seconds after I warped into the Caldari fleet part where I failed. I didn't die -- got out with 20% hull, but its just way too hard when you're not prepared for what to tank (15 explosive missiles coming at you right from the start?) I run in a Ferox by the way.
I'm not concerned about the number of ships total in this part, but having almost ALL of them instantly aggro you as you come straight out of warp is just bloody ridiculous. My suggestion about this is splitting them up into groups, or like someone else in this thread said, tip off the players a bit more in the mission briefing before sending them out. This mission is about the Amarr Navy who warps in after one hour and beats the crap out of you if you don't succed, no? (Which is obscene for some in Battlecruisers) Why when I warp into the gate I start getting wailed on by CALDARI?
The fact that the mission is difficult is great, but it's just too hard to be considered level 3 in my opinion. This mission could probably be quite viable in it's current form if the enemies were split into groups.

Enemies abound lev4.... lost a scorp and contents before i could even lock a target.... and yes... i have the skills to target fast, sig analysis etc. i did lev 1's and 2's in a frig... 2's and easy 3's in a cruiser... hard 3's in a BC, so a Battleship should be able to do a 4.

Nothings Impossible, somethings however are a little more of a challenge than others.
Keep the more challenging missions rolling in Zrakor.
Lvl4 Worlds collide reward could be higher 750k-1m? Bonus time limit a little longer - 2hrs min. LP could be a lot higher 2000 or so on a par with vengeance but thats my personal opinion.

Mission rewards are dynamically calculated based on how long it takes the average person to do the mission. If it's really difficult, expect it to increase over time until it levels out at a reasonable amount.

Was a suggestion on my part based on mission experience however I did see Zrakors' coment from earlier in the thread.

Isnt World Collides a deadspace mission? (The new type?) Deadspace mission doesn't use dynamic bonus time - altought they intended it to be. It's been bugreported - but not fixed. Normal space mission use the dynamic bonus time though.
I'm not sure what category Worlds Collide falls into.

Lvl 4 Angel Extravaganza (or serpentis) - last (3rd stage)- whole spawn aggroes (3+ groups of 2BS each+frig, cruis support)although i with a friend were shooting at one group only - result - > heavy tanked Raven+Megatron managed to take down 2 BS+ couple of frigs before getting totally swarmed with the rest of the spawn and having to warp out with 10-30% damage in hulls leaving drones behing (not a second to lose^^, luckily we had only mediocre lag). After repairs and drones reload second and third attempt brought nothing really - with the whole spawn aggroing at once we last about 40 seconds before hull damage comes:)) - Mission cancelled. |

Im playing this game just 3 months and right now i am doing levels 3 on a Raven with cruise missles.
And i do them all without warping out . No trobble at all :)

I just did this mission with a Dominix and using drones... needed to warp out in the middle as there seemed to be spawn of frigates/spiders from the serp HQ, luckily I had one large SB with me. But yeah... dont like mission where seven BS and a whole lot of cruisers are all on their optimals picking a fight with me. Lost one T2 med drone on that mission (faction modules 4tw . )

My 2cs on those Delta IIs - Wow - any mission that those are going to be flying needs to be flagged in red. You have to love the webbing/healing/turbo strafing they get up to. I can usually kill level IIs like cupcakes, then I hit one mission with those bastards (in a Vex). Warped out, came back with a webber, 150 carbides w/uranium, 4 hammerhead, armor tank with a 800 plate. Still iffy, had to let the drones draw aggro at range (so they didnt jump me, and pegged them from max range). Lost them all, but finally dropped the Deltas. Only way to beat them for me (still low skill). We shouldn't have to pet sac to kill something, or every Gal pilot is going to become an honorary WoW warlock...
