That's probably a player scammer . They should be going for 300.000 from NPCs.

As for the tags, where do they sell? I am in Khanid space and there are no buy orders for them here. Do they only sell in hubs? Would be nice if some buy orders could be put into Khanid space too...
Warpscrambling IS new.. you probably got webbed before.. they seem to have the same visual effect.. that's no problem at all.. you can escape and try again..

I dont want to argue with you my dear, but when you try again, you would be in your egg most likely.

What I've seen of the new missions was really, really fun. But then, I do all missons with at least one corp mate if I'm not 100% sure I can do it alone. I'd say give the new extra-hard missions a red "Bring friends. I mean it." warning so people know what to expect. Also, the reward is way, way too low.

zrakor, "in the midst of deadspace" 4/5, the 1st stage is _very_ hard. ( not impossible tho )
You get aggro'd by all, and even with a group of 5 people we had to warp out at least 4 times to get it done.
and kind of needless to say, reward vs. time and stuff.... <dude, where's my sig?> |

As far as I know, they were warpscrambling before RMR too (hard to tell with no indicators though). They certainly had warp scrambling stats and I am 90% sure they used them, just not always.
And where can I sell my Minmatar tags? Anyone?

nope, it is not, Ive been scrambled before several times, even in level2 mission (e.g. from the ripper drone(s) in "drone harassment"), so you probably just have been lucky so far

Edited by: Akip on 19/12/2005 14:08:49 lvl4 - Angel extravaganza... It is different then usual... I was doing it with friend, when he warp in one group aggro him (that's normal) when I get in, nothing aggro me. I started to shoot at ships that attacks my friend and then 2 other groups aggro me (no drones were used). on next approach I was the first one that entered and only one group aggro me even when I shooted at that group no other group did shoot at me. when my friend enters area and staring shooting at ships that fire on me the rest groups did aggro him.

They should have bounties, i.e. the tags. You can sell them in Empire space now. Amarr Navy tags in Minmatar/Gallente space etc. You need to uncheck the 'search only available' box when you look for the demand, because there is no supply normally (obviously npcs are not going to supply these tags on the market, just ask for them).
I have a whole bunch of minnie and gallente tags and I don't see any buy orders in the entire Citadel region, are you sure they are there?

I lost an ishtar this morning to Enemies Inbound 1/5. I went in and was immediately webbed and warpscrambled by the 5 Gallente Navy Frigs which wasnt a problem. But as soon as I let out the drones and started hitting them, the whole room lit up and I was unable to tank the insane amount of damage coming from them. I really cant see how you are expected to tank the lot and still manage to kill. It might have been a little easier if I wasn't warpscrambled.
Or maybe I am going the wrong way around it? Maybe they are in groups and as long as I target another group whilst tanking the 5 frigs, it will be easier.

Well, after reading all the horror stories, I started doing all lvl 3&4 missions with corp mates and... Uh, well I kinda wish they were harder. The lvl 3 missoins seem to be the same just some jamming and extra warp scrambling. The new lvl 4 multi part seems a little out of whack though: 1)could not get the key needed. 2)Only an hour to complete ? (good luck) 3)No bounties ? Sorry all 50 or so of the tags are not going to make up for the bounties. So if your not sure, bring a mate and be prepared to leave or go in a shuttle and check it out. All in all good job Devs keep up the good work.

im guessing 'Amarr Navy General' 300k bounty is for a BS? on these harder missions that you want us to team up on? ccp trying to send eve 'empire huggers' to 0.0 again? At this rate we'll be having to mission run for a year to get a spare ship to go to 0.0 in if we have lots of spare cash maybe we wouldnt mind goin to 0.0 to get ganked (and hopefully see a titan) at least then we could afford new implants an ships
soz to go slightly off topic but the lack of good bountys is a mission issue

Just a small comment on "Enemies Abound"
I completed this set of missions on Sisi earlier today and was aghast at the standing increase. 0.43% was given for the last 3 missions which is totally out of sink with other (much quicker/easier) missions. Now,I know that both LP and payment for this set has already been adjusted on Tranq. Will those standing increases also be changed, and if not they should be.
Also, while you are around, any idea when derived standings might be fixed?
Thanks.

As far as I know, Rippers only WEBIFY - they don't Warpscramble. (or at least they used to - dunno what they do now)
Do people even know there is a difference between webbing and warpscrambling ?

Webbing : your speed is decreased by 75-90 % Scramble : you cant warp anymore, no "escape" button even aligned.

I've been doing level 4's for a long time, pretty much from when they 1st came in. When the Missle changes came in I trained up the new skills. But lvl 4's have always been about playing smart. I'm directing this to the guy who lost the Megathron. Dude that low slot with the WCS in it on my Raven is there for a reason. It's been said earlier in this thread and I apologise to the Dev for not providing info regarding specific but I had to say something. We've all lost ships on missions, but we learn from it not whine. 1st lvl 4 I was on and lost a ship due to scrambling, I said "Hey! that wasn't good!" and promptly fitted a WCS to my ship and my alts.
If you want to run away (and until you're comfortable with a particular mission i'd equip to be able to do so) than hey fit WCS and run.
Don't fit an extra cap relay, lose your ship and then hijack a thread with a tale of your misfortune when constructive comments have been requested.
Oh and erm DS and 425's?, guess it must be for those LONGrange DS engagements.

The 5 part mission (lvl 4) was wicked! very cool and hard as hell. We were a couple of guys that did this which probably was the only reason we left in our ships and not our pods.
But one thing dissapointed me, in the last stage the npc's was suppose to keep spawning until the gate was destroyed. Me and my buddy thought woohoo ! LOOT !!! But they gave up after the 4:th or so spawn. We kinda wanted to continue and was hoping that the spawns would become harder and harder until we were forced to finish it or be shot down...
And another thing, 1 stage was the hardest by far.

Didn't mean to put you down and I apologise if it sounded bad. Poor choice of words on my part, but it sounds as if you've been doing Lvl 4's for a while and have been very lucky not to have been scrambled before. Unfortunately one of the great strengths of the Mega has been changed and new skills required to deal with the change. (drone bay and drone changes).
Post patch missions are always risky especially if you are in a ship that's had a major strenth changed. Saying that a bay full of mediums and the combat drone skill to lvl 4 should eat inties.
My Apologies
I use an Apoc and a Raven myself and have often found the Apoc hard work on DS missions. Given the optimal ranges on 425's even with AM, I'd imagine it would be hard work.

But, I have only done a level 4 mission once, and that was in a gang of 6+ corp members.
The scrambling took place during a L3 mission, and I did a LOT of those missions, and never ever been scrambled before. I don't think L3 NPC's had that capability. If I had encountered scramblers before I would have WCS's fitted for sure.. count on that :P
Greetz Brae
P.S. I used Iridium for long range.. optimal = 110K or abouts and Antimatter for close(r) range.. optimal around 60k or abouts.

Dude, lvl 4 missions are STILL the easyest way to make money in empire and in 0.0 as well if you factor in stuff like ship loss and time spent camping gates so that pesky pirate who comes in your territory thinks twice about it next time. Not to mention full scale attacks or draw-out wars.
You can always go out and do a mission, you know pretty much what to expect most of the time, ok the loots not so great but at least you have a market for that loot or the minerals you grind from it right there. I have to cross 25 jumps in enermy infested space to sell anything.
I'm not whining cos otherwise I would not be out in 0.0 (where else can I shoot whoever I want whenever I want) but you mission guys dont relise how much more awake all the bloody time you have to be to live in 0.0
And for the record I have about 500k LP's with That agent in niyabainen in That Caldari navy station so I do know what I am on about and I have only experianced the less profitable 1.0 lvl 4 agents. Those in 0.5 systems would make even more money for still a neglagable risk.

lvl 3? ahh, Lvl 3's I tend to go for a Ferox \ Prophecy depending on rat type. But if it's a risky lvl 3 the Cerberus comes out . I always fit WCS on a high value ship against NPC's. Surely you'll only face a large number of Cruisers and Inties on a lvl 3? either way you'd have real trouble on a DS mission with Large rails. Don't get me wrong, I love the Mega (a very skill intensive ship though) but against cruisers and inties I wouldn't use large guns.

On topic:
I'm doing Level2 missions only, and there is one that is a bit to hard for me at the moment. Technological Secrets. I think if I were able to warp in at a longer distance, so I can aggro only a few groups at a time it should be doable.

Well i thought tech was very hard at first. Esp in a close range ship i found the trick to be to let the whole thing spawn (warp out). Then change your default warp in distance to 80km and start taking them out one by one. When you do this the mission suddenly turns very easy. The problem is this takes very long time (even in 2 BCs) and with no bounties its quite rediculus.

There's a mission set called "Enemies Abound" and it seems that it's not only me having troubles with it's first part.
As soon as you enter 5-6 Gallente Navy tech 2 frigates instantly attack and warp scramble you.
Not too bad you'd think but they move way too fast for drones to be effective and while this is going on the BS's present then start shooting. No matter how many WCS u have fitted u can't escape. I lost my Scorpian which had 2 wcs fitted and a tank setup that I use when against 5-6 Dread Gurista BS's.
It's an instant death mission.
A group of people attempted it in a gang and they lost a Raven and a Scorp with only a cruiser escaping.
Not saying it's not fair or insainly difficult or anything (although I feel it is) but maybe this mission should have been saved for the lvl5 agents which aren't publicly available due to the lack of missions.

technological secret level 3
I've tried this mission and no shield tank setup works on my raven or my ferox for longer than 30 seconds. if I had an option of warping in at range I'd be able to do this mission. but with the lag still present I dont have time to warp in try and bookmark something and get out before I come very close to loosing a BS
I had wanted more challanging missions in which the rats had new tricks, so could you take it back to that and do away with the deceptive descriptions for good

While this is not really directly about impossible missions it does add the to diffucalty.
I just did The Right Hand of Zazzmatazz level 4. This is one of those new hybrid deadspace/normalspace missions where you warp to deadspace but end up there directly and not thru a gate.
Zarkor you have stated that warping in from different angles would cause you to end up at different positions there but I'll call bull**** on that. In practice it's just Random where you end up.
I had a gang of 3 ships that where sitting outside station right ontop of each other gang warp to this area. They all came in from the Exact same angle but still 2 of them ended up right ontop of the spawn while the third ended up 50km away.
This is what makes some of the missions so hard, even if you know what you will meet you have NO way to know in before if you will end up at a sniping position or in the middle of them.
