My corporation has had its ISK ready for days, waiting for the 18:00 start of the second round...
Possibly the updates on the site run a few hours behind.
I assume this to be the case. My information from Count, re being sold out, is dated 12:54 this morning; probably the outpost site hasn't been updated since then.

Within the first 36 hours of ISS Borealis IPO, we have been pleasantly surprised by the overwhelming response from ISS Members and Neighbouring Alliances and Corporations. As a result, there will be insuffient shares available to meet Phase 2 investor demand.
As many capsuleer pilots are aware, the ISS strives for the goal of civilian colonisation and development of 0.0 space in co-operation with the territorial alliances.
To achieve civilian population, our vision is that the many small and medium sized corps need an opportunity to participate, and the publically owned outposts are a very important part of this colonisation. The ability to enable even the minimum level investor to participate is crutial to making the outpost owned by the entire Eve Community
How should Phase 2 investors proceed? To keep to our vision, we have decided to handle the potential oversubscription as follows: - You can send a eve-mail to 'Paul Steele' now stating how many shares you personally or your corporation wishes to invest in Phase 2
- Phase 2 investors will be processed in order of Eve-mails received and you will be contacted to transfer funds
- After all shares are sold, investors who miss out will be given special priority in the next Outpost IPO, in order of email receipt. Emails must be sent before 23:59 31st December to qualify
If there is then sufficient interest expressed to create a 3rd (or 4th!) Public Outpost, ISS will do the work to create business plans and research locations for additional outposts for IPO launch in January.
ISS would like to thank the Phase 1 investors and the Eve Community for their enthusiasm for sharing our vision and hope that this solution will enable will continue to fuel the enthusiam for participation in Civilian development of 0.0 space.

Ribbo
I totally agree with that. Perhaps the first step would be NPC stations switching over to conquearble stations. It would be make the outpost projects even more important. Even if it was a progressive switch, say every other station initially.
Either way props to ISS for not only doing the project once in the south but repeating it in the north. I hope you succeed in establishing a thriving market hub where ever you decide to build.

Do you people have any idea how fantastic it would be to have a station in EC? Would really help us keep the gate clear of hostiles.
And by hostiles, I mean people who shoot ISS. Pirates and stuff. -omg-

Who would all camp EWOK, thereby nullifying the effect of the outpost. There's nothing special about EC-8PR except that it's the first undefended system; if you establish a permanent defent, EWOK becomes the first undefended system, and gets camped.
And before you ask, no, we will not bulid an outpost in every single system between Torrinos and Deklein

It always shocked me some industrialist corp hasn't attempted to hold EC for itself. It's the lowest-sec system in all of PB and 1 jump from Empire space no less.

That's the price I asked to the latest person that wanted to buy shares. She was thinking more around 12mil a piece .

Congrats and good luck to ISS on another outpost construction project. As a Marginis shareholder, I'm very excited to see ISS is continuing its commitment to the economic development of 0.0.
I'm disappointed not to have heard of the Borealis project earlier. Was there any public posting prior to 21 December? If not, I would strongly urge ISS to consider increasing the time between the announcement and the commencement of the IPO.
I would surely have been in line for this IPO, ISK in hand, if I'd known about it sooner. I'd like to believe I monitor the ISS web site on a fairly frequent basis, and there was no mention of the project a couple weeks ago.
I shall promptly send an evemail to Paul Steele to reserve my place in line for the next public offering. I'm sure there will be many more opportunities as ISS continues its success. -static zero |
