The most evil rumor around is that Samuel L Jackson has said in an interview that he plays Eve. Since no one has been able to dig up proof that this interview has even taken place, Im confident to say that there are no celebrities known to be Eve players.

I wish I knew who started the Samuel L Jackson rumor. It has been very persistent even though no one can dig up the alleged interview.
In all honesty I think celebs are enjoying the finer things in life and don't have time for distractions like EvE. Their gaming entertainment is likely limited to the occassional head to head console sports game when entertaining friends.

Who cares if Samuel L plays EVE. He would have to be a nobody because it is pretty hard to avoid going on voice comms, and I doubt he could remain anonymous if that happend.

If I was a rich celebrity, I'd still play EVE.
I'd be doing it on a $15,000 gold-plated overclocked water-cooled 5 monitor computer, but I'd still play.

Gaming is not "sad." Being addicted and avoiding a social life for a game is "sad." I play EVE, but I play it on the evenings when nothing is going on -- it takes up the time slot most americans devote to watching TV and is no more or less "sad" than wasting 3 hours watching American Idol or something (actually, IMHO, gaming > TV since you at least have some cerebral involvement with gaming.)
If I became famous, I'd still play EVE -- probably less as I'd have more $$$ to do other interesting things like travel and such, but I wouldn't give up my "favorite pasttime" of gaming.
If you think playing EVE is sad, then quit, because once you realize you have a problem... the only healthy thing to do is address that problem.
