At an official ceremony commemorating the anniversary of the liberation of Caldari Prime today, Gallente citizens could be seen strutting around like they owned the place.
When asked to comment on his and his race's feelings regarding the proceedings acting Caldari Consul Tamlin Vorne stated,
"This is indeed a black day for the Caldari people. Be assured though that our nation will not rest until we have reclaimed what is rightfully ours."
The sting in the ConsulĘs words was quickly neutralised, however, by a declaration of "lol, pwned" by Kathryn Lanby, the Gallente governor of Caldari Prime.
Viceroy Jolin Terge of the Amarr Empire, also present at the ceremony, saw fit to make a comment denunciating, in the strongest terms, the apparent hedonism surrounding the celebrations, linking the surrounding decadence to the eventual fall of the Gallente Federation ū a denunciation and warning universally ignored as everyone was too busy getting liquored-up and laid.
For The Scope, this is Exioce, signing off.

I suppose I should be suprised by the sheer audacity and rudeness of this gesture, but I'm just not. Quite sad actually.
Enjoy your pleasures while they last.

Exioce will one day beable to kil himself, knowing his propaganda helped fuel the fires that will engulf the Gallente homeworld when the Caldari State bulldozes the Federation out of existance.

PS - Enjoy your 'liberal' corrupt lifestyle while you can, abrasive statements from peons such as yourself cause more problems then the historical hypocrisy of the Gallente government...

Exocise has been reported recently attempting to obtain a Caldari high-tech firearm. When questioned why he was purchasing such an item, he responded with:
"Because when the State destroys the Federation and people like me have caused enough problems to result in the total annhilation of life on the Gallente homeworld, I will need something to kill myself with, and a Gallente firearm would simply be too ineffective. Afterall, it is a Gallente product."

We will return. You'd best move out now, while you still can.

Not sure who the bigger idiots are, the scope with their oh-so-funny reports, or the Caldari claiming we're retaking Caldari Prime.
Make a note.
The entire reason we had to abandon the planet is because it was located in Luminaire.
Personally i don't want it back, let the past die. There's plenty of brand spanking new reasons to kill idiots like Exoice without bringing that rock into it.

Well Said Yuki! And well spoken today as well.
The Scope report is clearly wrong, its actually fuuny that it gets you Caldari redemsionist types so worked up as its what we call ...a tabloid...ie not a seroius news outlet for the most part. ( though the report on the Amarr Love that dare not speeak its name was compelling)
Actually, the Federation citizens on Caldari Prime didn't even notice the date. Its just not important anymore!

I was present at the event, and I have come to the conclusion that the Gallente Citizens were seen "strutting around like they owned the place" because, just perhaps, they actually do?
It is a rather big shock, and I suggest that the loveable members of The Scope take it with a large glass of their preferred spirit, a tradition that they frequently seem to practice constantly. The world is a big shock for such ill educated mis-fits. They took a whole year gawping at the overwhelming bigness of space before actually trying to get a hold in it.
The event in itself, was a total bore. Partly sprung from my Gallenten race perhaps, but I'm not allowing a large group of Caldari, most I must add, with low security ratings, into Gallenten space without a mere looking from yours truly.
I was however, highly disappointed with the lack of catering the Caldari provided.

Mr. Vankaalen, you wrongly accuse the Liberal faction of being unpatriotic, and you also assume that everyone cares about taking Caldari Prime back. In reality, Mr. Vankaalen, not many Caldari do. Only those who are on the extreme Right, the most conservative of the Patriot faction, care about such things, wanting another war with the Gallente to achieve some sort of false glory.
I came to the Memorial ceremony to pay my respects to those who died, not to make threats. I had hoped that CAIN would have understood these things, but since you and your friends cut Yuki off mid-speech, I guess you really can't stop living in the past.
Those who place their hearts on the far Right or the far Left live lifes of lies, Mr. Vankaalen. They live on these edges having no balance, meaning they will eventually topple.
Start worrying about where we live now. A fair few Caldari planets are slowly rotting and need attention. Saisio III, anyone?

Understood, may I point out that the Liberal faction would love nothing better than to be happy friends with all the races, when it is clear that the Republic and Federation are actively seeking out corporate targets in State space. Forget the past and you'll lose an eye.
I would place myself in the Patriot faction, yes. Why? Because I want to see the State as superior over all. So far, it has maintained this hold. With the exceptions of the Jovians of course.
I can't see a strong Liberal State.
And, in regards to the censorship of Ms. Li, CAIN had abosolutely nothing whatsoever to do in the moderation of that subspace channel. If you wish to brand, please direct your attention to Itan Kirdett who was controlling the channel. Although several pilots voiced their concerns and were disgusted about her attitude, it was not only her who was censored. To my memory, only Citizen Wassenar and Citizen Nuvolari remained speaking.

Those that forget the past are doomed to repeat it. I don't think the State should linger under some delusion of reclaming our "Home World". Instead I think we should remember those who have died to give us what we have today and remember Caldari Prime as a lesson of what can happen to us when we leave our destiny in the hands of another.

Why is it that all the recent "scope reports" have been somewhat Anti-Caldari? Is the Scope trying to manipulate public opinion here? Most of its publications are crap anyways so Lets all do Eve a favor and boycott the Scope, its products, Publications and services. Then we can shut them up and get propaganda machines silenced once and for all.

Maybe they're trying to use some horrible psychological warfare where they think if they **** off enough Caldari, we'll give up... on... something? I'm not quite sure. I can't really complain about it I guess, since every time they publish more dribble, they just cause a greater swell of anti-federation pilots. Please, no political remarks. - Laqum Being a forum mod should require knowing what poltical satire is before nerfing sigs. |

Now now, if you're going to attempt petty insults, atleast try to use ones that'll stick.
Xenophobic comment because it points a finger and laughs at something like the Scope? I suggest you go back to school, I know Gallente education leaves alot to be desired, and joining Coreli surely didn't help you, but perhaps you should learn what the word means. I have no fear of anything Gallente, and yours is the only race that has shown itself to be so vile.

From a purely practical aspect, it serves us better for Caldari Prime to not be in our hands. Were it in our hands it most likely would make us complacent as we are, and cause us to lose our stature in the galaxy.
I have to agree with Yuki and Josephine. Let it stand as a memorial so that it reminds us for another few centuries, so that we may continue to strive to show the State's strength throughout the Galaxy.
Complacency is best left to others.

May I remind you that it was no mere vassal of the ancient Caldari. The Fuukiuye and Raata-Oryioni Empires were raised, and fallen there. The first Caldari corporation, Isuuaya was established there.
Are you so willing to let it remain in the blighted hands the Federals?
For shame...

In contrast to seeing our great people lulled into the complacent mindset that will allow us to fall behind in the galaxy as a whole? Certainly.
The long term ramifications of a quick reclamation of Caldari Prime far outweigh the short term satisfaction that would arrive to our people.
The romanticized notion that reclaiming Caldari Prime will propel the State into a golden age is just that, a romanticized notion. Humanity has certain tendencies that it can not, and will not, escape. Individuals may continue to press on, but not all will for very long, and thusly Empires fall.
I do not need Caldari Prime to be in the hands of the State to remember the glory of Fuukiuye and Raata-Oryioni. Our history speaks loudly enough of it. Let Caldari Prime stand as a memorial to all those who were martyred on that terrible day that even many of the Gallente recognize now for what it was.
Lest we forget, and that is where the shame would reside.
