This was already posted in the Odyssey 1.1 scan probe changes topic, but since that was kind of a "pre-release" thread and this one is post-release, I'd like to link it here as well, in case there's a better chance someone at CCP will see it:
https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=3568202#post3568202 (Summary: move the "Recover Probes" button away from the "Scan" button, and remove the "Destroy Active Probes" button completely). |

Whereas I realize there are numerous people changing aspects to the game at CCP, sometimes I wonder if they do not talk among themselves to keep a sense of flavor retained to the game.
CCP added the jump game animation to retain a sense of immersion jumping from system to system.
CCP changed the simple names of various industrial ships into more colorful descriptions.
CCP changed various modules, skills, and the skill tree from colorful, elaborately wordings with flavor into sterile descriptions to appease potentially (dumb) new players.
Or is CCP a bit bipolar? |

I like the idea to bring more new players into eve. I don't like the fact that i can't help them now as i used to, because the skil names has changed. A friend of mine play german client, i english client, it screws me up to explain something about skills.
He ask me what ship i enjoy the most to fly and why, what he should skill. I answerd spare the ship T2 skills they don't be worth the effort to skill them anymore, stay at T1 they are cheap, they are fun and he can choose any race, the are now near all equal.
Thats the point. Don't balance the game to mishmash, we love the game cause there are choices and consequences. Where are the differences? Weapons, ships will be more equally - it will be easier for new players, but the most players, there play that game are older players like me. Overthink a few changes, listen a bit more to the community, but not too much. |

So mining gets yet another boost while small gang to medium gang pvp combat boosters get nerfed into obvilion. We will have to suicidegank as many orcas as possible as answer to that.
Hacs look fine so far (never cared to fly a Vaga anyway - lol). Command ship changes look fine (maybe except Claymore....Hams...really?)

The new camera tracking is terrible imo , I don't like it when my ship disappears from my screen when the camera moves to the object I'm about to warp to. I would rather have it that my ship stays in the center of the screen and the back drop moves to the object I'm heading for.
The name changes are great for the most part, will help the new players out I think, wish they were like that when I first started . Also like the new skill group changes as well. |

Launcher: - not convenient at all for multiboxing, makes feel doing 2x operations as much as before - regarding new player experience: in-game login with animations and such were VERY immersive and had a good feeling for a first encounter in the game. Now we just feel like logging to WoT or LoL until we actually arrive in space / hangar
Overview: - The new tracking system is not convenient and very disturbing. I have a friend that I tried to teach EVE and he was totally lost until I made him disable this almost-hidden setting in the "selected item" options menu. BTW the option menu icon in 1920x1080 is almost as big as the overload rack icons.
Drones - difficult to launch drones in space with the drag and drop since most of the time it rather activates the radial menu. I was forced to increase the delay. BTW having the "return drones" in a submenu is not a good idea IMHO

could you give some indication of what exactly you changed with these but failed to put into the patch notes. I (and others) are noticing increased resists/EHP on certain ships which have only appeared since yesterdays patch.
If these have been changed, then details need providing.
If they havent been changed, then you have a bug somewhere in your coding. |

Yep congratulations on deploying a near 800 meg update to your Server, maybe u would like to bring the update files for the client around to my house so i can play the game i love and support, I am now on my second day of fail fail fail, not everyone on the planet has a fantastic net, some of us have wifi and commmunial wifi at that, that resets to socket on the hr every hr of every day, does the launcher get up of the floor and start from whence it last finished not on your life, it just hangs there motionless and dead as a dead parrot. Is there an alternative such a a direct link to the file perhaps that i could use a download utility that can handle being cut off mid conversation, orry guys but deploying 800 meg in a one go hit is just totally inconsiderate and stupid to say the least, a very very annoyed Aurty, but peace n much love to the beloved many. |

Took me 50 secs to download it. Don't blame CCP for your cheapness.
edit: Get closer to your source to avoid dropping. Download it at some other location. Have your landlord upgrade his WIFI system. Get your own. Many solutions for any given problem. There is nothing cheap about WiFi its more expensive and not everyone lives in the middle of a city yes that's right there are humans in the deep darkest corner of the planet who don't have the luxury of fiber optics, and you completely missed the point. |

New roles + new name = less confusion.
The reality of the situation is this, the only thing that didn't change was the appearance and skill reqs. They could have deleted multiple ships and created new ones for the new role, but then everyone would be whining about preceding the Mk. 2 or some such.

They're INDUSTRIALS! What's to be confused about? Need a bigger hold? Get a bigger ship (if you fly Gallente). At this point the changes have basically given gankers a big, flashing "Shoot me! I'm carrying expensive stuff!" sign over specialized industrials!
Just another little attempt by CCP to create even more of an Easy Button for high sec losers who can't survive in low or null. Good job, CCP. "Blow it all on Quafe and strippers." --- Sorlac |

There's a phrase in software development called "feature creep". It's basically the adding new, irrelevent non-sense just to add stuff. The changes to the skill tree are just that: feature creep. Splitting up categories of skills just to split them up is dumb. There is no other name for it. "Blow it all on Quafe and strippers." --- Sorlac |

Because having rigs, manufacturing, armor and hull skills together always made sense. NOT.

There what's nothing wrong with the numbered system (iteron 1, 2...) but now we have have multiple, harder to pronounce names for crappy industrial ships. It was unnecessary. |

Okay, what's easier to remember Louis I - Louis XVIII or Andrew Jackson, Thomas Jefferson, etc. Name are meaningful, numbers not so much. Now add to that the fact that the roles for these ships changed significantly. It was going to really suck remembering which Iteron did what, and fortunately cooler heads prevailed amongst the devs. I for one am greatful to our CCP overlords. IF IT AIN'T BROKE, DON'T FIX IT!!! You had plenty of time to ***** about this when it was being discussed in Features and Ideas....also when the Dev Blog was posted about these changes. Please provide input during design and development, or just adapt when the changes come and quit bitching. This feedback was given in Features & Ideas, multiple times. Like so much other good feedback, it was ignored.
In this case, apparently everyone at CCP has their show info windows only a couple hundred pixels wide. If you think about all the screenshots of show info windows we've seen from devs, it makes sense. |

How very selfless of you, perhaps some consideration for others is in order. This is a MMO as in multiplayer, not a stand alone game. Just because one person doesn't like a change doesn't mean the rest of us aren't pleased with this change.
As far as pronunciation goes, how very ethnocentric of you. I imagine it rolls quite nicely off of the Icelandic, or for that matter, European tongue. If you're ganking ships without scanning first you've gotta be the worst piwate ever. If I'm getting blown up by CONCORD I wanna know there's something in the ship to make my effort worth my ship loss. Piracy is about income not foolishness.
Now if you're ganking for the LOLs then that's an entirely different story, but in that case you don't care and would blow anything up, 'because it's there.'
