Edited by: Gretchen Dawntreader on 10/01/2006 22:23:59 I had a GUI lockup when I forgot that unlike my lab jobs, my factory jobs I don't have the remote administration skill yet...I tried to "Deliver" a finished production run of ammo while undocked when I had to be in station.
It gave the the standard pop up window about being out of range, but once clicking that off, the loading bar "Completing jobs..." went up to the end of the slider and then hung there, I couldn't click anywhere on the interface or windows, finally cleared it by accident by hitting the Escape key.
(Edit) Hllaxiu, your sig just tried to install a cookie on my pc. Tame it.

Yes, to sound like a borkened record, red for cans burns my eyes, and the font is kinda boxy D: Have yet to meet other bugs that I've run into, so that's good...

Yeah buddy list is broken as ever... is it worth even making fun of the QA department after that ?
I mean ... how much of a QA person do you need to be to spot that ? these people have diploma's ? they go to school to learn this ? or do they just wake up one day and say... gee I'll be a QA manager tomorrow... and from then on they fail to spot the obvious as a Job ???? cheetah has 5 second reactivation delay on cloaking device. helios still has 30 second delay. wtf?

OVERVIEW SETTING of applying red - sign to pilot only doesn't work... it applies also to cans ... if the red colour of cans is not a problem having them marked with the red minus sign is... as when you quickly pass someone while warping or accelerating away from a gate you can't tell if you saw a ship or a can... !!!

I logged in for 3 minutes to update skill training. My eyes are already hurting and my mind is boggling is disbelief that you could have managed to make the font worse...
With the original RMR font it was hard to read chat (or else it was too large) but at least everything else was readable. Now it's, well, not. Reading names in local is awkward; reading number of players online is awkward, reading anything hurts. It's grainy, like a dot matrix printer that's running out of ink...
RMR font was bad - this is WORSE. And if your cunning plan is to make the RMR seem less bad already then it's working. Sadly, some of us also remember how much better the pre-RMR font was. *Please* CCP give us a readable font - it can't be that difficult, surely - especially given you already had one!

Think this might be a bug still from the original RMR, but here goes.
Drones getting "stuck" on each other and in space. The mwd drive to the 1st target, and then from there, to the next they are as slow as a snail. Very irratating.

A different color for the secure cans would be nice. Reserve the color red for hostiles, how about a dark green or dark blue? Something to indicate nutrality rather than hostility.
All the red in space at some of the belts basically requires you to only use the overview when dealing rats or pirates.

LAGG ..... the Lag is horrendous ... i lost a full set of implants due to lag ....got stuck on a gate ..... 5 minutes later I'm in my clone ....WTF !
I petitioned for my loss ....but i wont hold my breath for a response let alone a happy outcome.
Fix it Please !!!!!
a few more weeks of sitting in a station unable to venture out the door is NOT fun .... if it carries on past that I'm seriously considering canceling my 3 accounts.
No you cant have my stuff !!

Also . . .
Still testing this one but:
When using insta's to fly through sectors gate-to-gate the ranges to static objects did not update in the overview. So I was exiting warp at my destination gate with the overview showing the ranges as they were before warp.
Only seemed to happen when 'off-course' from the autopilot's intended route.
As stated, still testing, will bugrep if it persists. ________________________________________________

"return to drone bay" is now even worse than before. instead of drones simply failing to scoop and going into the default orbit around you, they now get stuck a lot of the time (apparently on nothing since they're not ramming each other) and you have to fly over and scoop them because neither "return to drone bay" or "return and orbit" commands will make them move.
also oursulaert is still extremely laggy and playercount doesn't seem to have been affected at all by moving the L4 agents.

Not sure if it's because of the patch or not but has anyone else noticed that skills don't finish training? I just had my 'finished skill training' eve-mail that i had finished prod eff to lvl 4 but when i tried to start lvl 5 it still showed I was lvl 3 with 60% done, the same lvl I had started training it at the day b4.

Pentium 4 3.2, 2 gigs of main memory. Geforce 7800. All drivers up to date and verified. Sound card disabled, all graphic options at minimum (for test purposes) Eve runs choppily at 4-10 frames per second. Something isn't right.

New font on wide grows on you very quickly! Very readable font imo. Also the logs that pop up when you hit etc look brighter now, which is quite nice also.

As a trial member, maybe I don't have much weight here. But, the red can color makes no logical sense to me. Red is equal to danger, and therefore a natural reaction is to defend and become aggressive.
Change the cans to purple. It will still be outstanding yet apart from identifying BOTH cans and OPPONENTS as one and the same color.

Purple is the "in your gang" color, so might not be a good choice.
First they should have marked only the cans you CAN take from, not the ones you can't. Failing that make it something subtle that won't affect gameplay as much as red does, like [[ ]] on your own can or something? Or have the ones you can't use bolded or something? -- Lil Miner |

I think yellow would work better .. Red is definately wrong, in the western world, red equals danger, and yellow normally signals caution.
Seeing that cans only rarely attack (and when they do, you'll see it in a special on FOX, "WHEN SECURE CANS GO BAD"), so, I think that yellow would make a much better choice.
Red is distracting quite a bit.
