Edited by: shivan on 25/01/2006 04:08:36 All I can say is, GF FIX, was a blast. Got podded again and lost a tech II temp, but hey, was fun.
For those of you who where not there, fight lasted from start to finish about a good 20-30 minutes.
Hope there will be plenty more to come, hopfully without the lag.
Edit, just checked logs, fight went on for an hour solid.

How was the lag?

Good and bad at times. Sometimes I couldn't fire other times it was smooth as silk fighting.
It was impressive to watch from the Stain point of view. More and more FIX would warp in very fluid battle over 200km with us warping out at one point to get closer to the targets.
Twas fun!

119 ships killed in the last hour according to map, awesome fight, the best battle in Eve for me so far.

Amazing fight, excellent play Fix. Lag was horrible at some points, others it was fine. It looked like you had the upperhand to start with, I was very suprised when it turned. Battle was indeed just under 1 hour long. Best fight i've been in so far playing eve.
With a lovely 6.10GB of fraps (20 minutes worth) captured Expect a vid in the next couple of days

Thanks for comming to play tonight, was very very fun :)
the lag monster ate a few ships on each side but overall wasnt too bad... once i got podded and landed in empire my pc literally melted, spontaneous reboot and Eve settings got totally borked.

not fun when that happens. Not fun at all, the most annoying thing is when your trying to shoot someone and then you have 8 messages "Are you sure you really want to do this?" come up.

Props to FIX, props to Huzzah, and props to SA.
Most fun fleet battle I can recall and it lasted an hour approximately. Lag was rough in spots but manageable for the most part. Can't wait to see the fraps

If anything I lost my once proud Apoc to my own sloppyness when I warped in for the second time Oh well, it was for the greater cause. More interesting battles are to follow
Plan for galaxy domination: Step 1. Steal lots of underpants Step 2. ... Step 3. Get declared as Eve Emperor |

2 fix dreads withdrew to the station about the same time SA reinforcements showed up and we started to attack. Probably 2-3min tops between the last dread docking and when we move into attack.

Aargh! I spent the evening in FAT with the SA-Huzzah fleet - went to bed at 1.30am after being in three decent sized and hard fought fleet battles with lots of lovely bloody body parts floating in the space vacuum. I went to bed feeling very smug with my killmails only to find that I missed one of the mothers of all battles!
Gotta say these are some of my best eve days ever - Huzzah is loving the temperature of the water out here in Catch!
Respect to Fix for the fun fights last night!

any of you get the *** locking lag bug? where it just keeps locking but doesnt actually lock, if you know what i mean. As that has been plagueing a lot of us up north atm :( ---------------

Well, I wasnt in last nights fracas (or was it a rumpus ?) in FAT, but what you describe has been pretty standard for me in the engagements Ive been in in this war. Takes forever to get a lock, a long time to get the guns to activate after that and then when the ship goes down to what looks like half armour Im told over ts that some see the primary as down. The funny thing is, sometime its faster to lock someone that doesnt appear on overview at once, than someone who has been there all the time.
Im not sure CCP can solve this with faster servers, feels to me like a code or architecture thing.

I've had it earler some times.. Had it the day earlier when we were around 40guys fighting.. And the day before that aswell in HED.. Had to warp out and relogg twice since ship was not responding. Last night it never happend to me anyway, just some lag when locking so some extra secs locking time.
Really annoying that you can miss a whole fight cause of the 'locking locking locking' lag bugg.
Must say that this was the best fight I've experienced ingame so far. All creds to the guys who was there and just kept comming back. Specially FIX who just kept comming in with new ships. (Please post killmails ) And for SA and HF fighting well together! FUN FUN FUN!!

Thank to all that participated in this fight last night. It was amazing source of fun!
Being among the first to lose ship 30sec after the engagement, I could then relax and contemplate incredible fight from 200 above in my fearless egg, and this for nearly 45mn.
I saw non stop ships warping out and warping back in from both sides, and soooooo many cans and drones outside
Same place same time tonight guys! Let's keep fighting like this, so much better than safe spoting or hanging at POS.
I think the map was showing something like over 100 ships destroyed in this single battle! All my regards to the fighters who made it alive, and compassion for those who lost a ship.
*CLAPS for both ALLIANCES!

yep, i know exactly what you mean, pain in the arse, but then again, when it does that, NOTHING is responding, no warping, no modules, just 5-10 minutes of nothing, not fun Frustrated |

Yep, had that a few times last night in the battle. Very annoying to see a the countdown reach zero then reset and start again.

I second the motion! All in favor say Aye. :)
Ofcourse I would have shown up in a little ittybitty frigate. Then again with frigates set off the overview I might have actually survived. :) Be all you can be, join the Huzzah Armed Forces today! |
