Just picked up February issue of PC Gamer (UK). It includes a two page review of RMR.
They give it 88% - The highest review score for any game reviewed this month.
They also bigged the game up in the introduction to the reviews. As always PC Gamer UK has proven a valiant supporter of EVE-Online

Yeah, just got mine too- nice writeup! And they use a Cyclone in the picture to go with the piece; finally Minmatar ship-looks get some publicity

Bad idea, they will lose hundreds of potential customers thinking all the ships look like that
ps any chance of a scan?

Hmm, might have to have a look.
Incidentally, it is legal to make a copy or scan of a single magazine article under UK copyright law which would apply in this case, I believe. Anyone want to confirm that? I know that people outside the UK might like to view the article.

It's not really an article though, it's just a review going over everything that EVE players already know. It's more for people who don't play EVE.

I would recheck you facts on UK Copyright Law ...
Linking or Scanning "the Entire Document" without the copyright owners permission would be against the law.

UK copyright laws allow for up to 4 scanned pages per magazine. ---

Can someone scan the first 4 pages
Can someone else scan the other 4?

Actually the "Copyright of Storage Works" as it is is now called ..........
Allows a percentage of the document to be scanned .... and posting the entire article without their permission .... is something they "could" take action against.

Edited by: inSpirAcy on 25/01/2006 18:40:44 Are there still people who think they can quantify the quality of a game into a precise percentage?
I thought that died out a long time ago.

Last time I bothered checking such things, 200 words could be copied directly from an article as a "fair use" summary. Thus on any web forum, whenever I link something, I copy and paste up to a couple of paragraphs. I suggest simply linking to the article on the magazine's website, if it has been published.

UK copyright laws (allegedly) allow for up to 4 scanned pages per magazine.
[Still trying to verify it]
The UK is a signatory country to TRIPS which disallows any infringement that is not considered fair use, AFAIK. Scanning in a magazine which depends upon its articles and content and uploading it for anybody to see on an online forum likely does not fall under fair use, which is typically applied to endeavors of artistic merit, educational opportunies, satire, or academic cricitism. Here, people would be enjoying the benefits of a magazine purely for entertainment without paying for it.
Just my law-student 2 cents.
