"Man's mind and spirit grow with the space in which they are allowed to operate." - Krafft A. Ehricke (1917 - 1984)
Eve Defence Force.
Eve: The galaxy in which we live. Defence: Reference to the people who "Defend" against Piracy Force: The men and women working together towards this common goal.
Eve Defence Force is a Miliatary Pirate Hunting Corporation. We are not a democracy, we have a Chain of Command that everyone must follow. Our goal is to seek out and destroy Piracy of all kinds no matter where that may be. Draccous Staton, our HQ, may be deep within the Frontiers of Space but our Legions seek out and destroy Piracy no matter where it exists.
To this end, Eve Defence Force acomplishes its goals through several Divisions across three Wings.
Eve Defence Logistics
Responsible for Mining, Manufacturing and Supply runs to and from Empire Space.
MARC - Mineral Acqusition and Resource Collection
MARC is our Minining and Haulage Division. Members of this Division are paid on a tierd system of ISK per unit of ore. The ore you mine is at the descrection of the Director but it is safe to say that 99.9% of the time it is Bistot, Ark and Mexcorite. The values can be found on our website but suffice to say, a dedicated Miner will become a Billionaire inside a month. The Mining Operations Payment is shared equally amongst the Tank, Haulers as well as the Miners.
ARED - Advanced Research and Engineering Division
ARED is our R&D Division and due to security concerns, it does not externally recruit. The primary responsiblity for this Division is ensuring our hangers are always full of the best Tech 1 and Tech 2 Equipment and Ammunition. Its secondary responsiblity is the creation of goods to sell. If you are qualified to join ARED (must be a master Tech 1 Builder) then you must first prove yourself in one of our other Divisions first.
STAR - Sales, Trading and Acqusition of Resources
STAR deals with the selling of of the goods that ARED produces. It houses our traders and deals with the acqusition of resources that cannot be naturally found within Frontier Space. The Director in charge also deals with the liasing with our Alliance partners over the Supply runs with our Freighters.
Members of STAR are recruited both externally and internally, depending upon the side of the Division they enter. To be part of our Merchant Fleet, you must be able to fly a top tier industrial and are highly encouraged to train for Transport Ships, Blockade Runners and Freighters.

General Operations Wing
General Ops is our covers any operations that do not fit under the Catagory of Logistics or Combat.
ASTRAL - Academic and Scientific Training in Research, Agents and Logistics.
ASTRAL is an external division and wholly owned subsidory of Eve Defence Force and operates under the name of Eve Defence Academy (EDF-A). The purpose of this Division is to train up recently licenced Capsuleers for survival both during Empire Wars and life on the Frotnier's of space (0.0). Members of Eve Defence Force are prohibited in joining this division and all members range from 0-3 months old.
Agent Running Division
This division deals with Empire, Cosmos and Deep Space Agent Running. Our Agent Runners work together in Teams and are clustered close enough to support each other in times of war. Any Merc or enemy corps who think that EDF's Agent Running Side is a soft touch will soon find 20-30+ Agent Runners all used to Combat and all with sufficient PvP training to survive heavy attacks.
Our Agent Running Division deals with members who run missions in both Empire and Frontier Space. It also has the additional responsiblity for (jointly with CoRM) management of our local Deadspace Complexes in Ascenia. These are a 7/10 and an 8/10 Complex. Access to these are heavily regulated and restricted for corp projects only.

Corporate Fleet Wing
Corporate Fleet Wing consists of our Covert Operations Division as well as two full Legions providing us with 18 hour combat Coverage. We are currently looking to increase this to 24 hour coverage.
ICIS - Intelligence, Counterintelligence, Infriltration and Security
ICIS covers everything from collation of information to spying on members to infriltrating our enemies ranks to internal security of our space, assets and members. The are two areas we externally recruit to of this division. The first is Security.
This is made up of our PvErs who are responsible for protecting our Miners, Killing Angel or Sansha Convoys (where the minerals are turned over to the corp) or Belt Rats. When not "Tanking" for a Mining Operation, they are required to donate 25 mill per week to our Cheif Financial Officer, Wkumi Argo. Due to the danger presented by these Pirate Factions, a Battleship or Tech 2 Combat Cruiser is required.
The other is the Extraordinarii, our Black Ops team. Members of this team must be able to fly Tech 2 Frigates and Cruisers only. No BS or other Tech 1 ship pilots are allowed in this team. It is responsible for sabotage,
Legions - PvP
From Condors to Carriers, Drones to Dreadnaughts, our PvPers specialise in a variety of ship types and Weapon systems. Currently split into two Legions; Orca and Eagle, our combat Legions have an 18 hour coverage. To be an Eve Defence Force PvPer you must have PvP expereince and must have a Battleship. This is because of the nature of the way the Legion's make money.

Due to my PC dying again, I can't update the website atm. Until that's done, I'll post the ore prices here:
Ark/Bist = 5000/unit Gneiss/Hemo/Hed..ect = 2500/unit Scord/Scord = 1000/unit
Mexorite and ICE are currently being discussed. 99.9% of the time you will mine Ark and Bistot.

Potential recruits need to be capable of living in 0.0. That is, with the exception of Agent Runnners. Please also note that the Academy is being set up at the moment and we're not taking on cadets. It should be ready by the begining of next week.
Please also bear in mind that teamwork is essential and anyone not pulling their weight in EDF will be quickly identified and given 24 hours warning and 30 days probation. If you do not improve within that 24 hours and consistantly pull your weight during that 30 days, you'll be give a further 24 hours to remove yourself from ASCN territory. Revert to your old ways after the 30 days and you'll be given 24 hours to remove yourself from ASCN territory.
Slackers need not apply.
Sorry for the spam but this is important information.

Quick question and bump, you state you have a 'no slackerĘs policy'. I was wondering if that applies to us poor pilots who suffer from DRL syndrome (Demanding Real Life) or if your section managers looked at the effort put in when DRL sufferers are around?

We look at what you do when you are online.
Go do you own thing and reap the benefits without contributing to the corp/alliance = BIG KICK OUT THE DOOR!!
Help us in the daily stuff that happens in corp/alliance = Lots of fun and good times
Anyway, RL always comes first in our corp!! Many of our members are grown up and mature players with wifes, kids, work and all that stuff that comes along.

I would think the answer to that is obvious. Since when has someone who's not online meant a slacker? If you want to be a miner and then do personal mining then don't bother applying. If you want to hunt Angel and Sansha BS up to and including Commander spawns and not contribute anything to the corp then don't bother applying.
What we want are people who want to work within the framework the corp sets out which will include them getting very, very rich indeed. Follow the rules and you'll be a multi-Billionaire. Don't and you'll find yourself target practice for our PvPers
As Tzeer said, I'd estimate around 60% of our corp is married with kids. We are seeking to strike a balance, not be taken for a ride. Teamwork is what makes a strong corp and a strong corp guarantees you fun and riches.

The Rules:
- All members need to have a minimum forum participation. Don't expect you to post every day but due to our size and our members ranging from accross the globe, it's easier to organise events via the forum. Failure to do so gets you kicked from the corp (unless you're absent from Eve, of course).
- PvPers need to use Voice Comms. We use Teamspeak. No TS, no PvP.
- All Miners and Haulers need to particpate in corp Mining Ops. Personal Ops are strictly prohibated. During Mining Ops the Tanker, Miners and Hauler/s will get a share of the ore value which is bought in at the listed prices. Generally speaking, even a casual gamer will be a Billionaire inside a Month.
- Agent Runners need to work together. Not always but there will be times when people organise group missions. We expect you to participate if you're on.
- No smacktalking. You smack talk, you're on strike one. Come Strike three, you're kicked.
- You need to go absent from Eve? Tell someone, we'll work aroud it. If you go AWOL for 30 days, you're out of the corp.
- Teamplay. All members are required to be team orientated. That's both in groups within your division as well as corp wide events. If that doesn't interest you, you don't interest us.
- Your priorities need to be thus: Corp, Alliance, Self. A strong corp makes for a stronger Alliance. A Stronger Alliance makes for a stronger member. A stronger member makes for a stronger corp. It all feeds back into itself.
Eve Defence Force expects it's members to look after their own. If a member needs help, we expect other members to assist. We maybe a large corp but our attitude towards each other is one of a small corp.
If you cannot follow the above common sense rules then don't even bother applying. We're here to make Eve as fun as you can get. If being alone and doing your own thing when you want is your idea of fun, Eve Defemce Force is not for you. Look elsewhere.

A great corp with good people and active management. The corp has goals and has projects running that you can help with. Corp is very generous to those that are team players.
If your a PVPer we always have targets and active ops all the time.

A lot of changes have gone on in Eve Defence Force in the last few months including the formalisation of the Divisions, hence the names. What I need potential recruits to understand that is during the last recruitment cycle, we took on a lot of people who's attitude was Self first, Self second and Self third.
These people soon find that they're removed from the corp. Whilst our rules may seem tight, they are designed to nip that in the bud and prevent anyone with that attitude from joining. By being corp first, you help your Alliance which helps secure the areas in which we live which means the corp grows which means we can support you more and that means you get richer.
For you Miners and haulers out there, Eve Defence Force lives in the honey pot of Eve. Where we live has vast resources and can make you very rich in a very short time. All we ask is that you work within the structure laid out, a structure designed to get both the member and the corp very rich, very quickly
For NPCers, all we ask is that you donate 25 mill per week to the corp, which incidently you can make in two hours down here, and tank for our mining ops. If you kill a hauler spawn, we will treat it with the same rules as a mining op and you will be paid a share of its value.
Agent Runners, we offer you the chance to work in teams and plough through missions faster than you would otherwise solo. That means that even though you're sharing your bounties with the team, you're getting through them at such a rate as to be earning far more than you would on your own.
For PvPers we not only offer you PvP on a daily, 23/7 basis but also free tech 1 Ammo, Weapons and Equipment. You'll also get heavy discounts on ships which effectively means your insurance is free. During down time you can do squad based missions and hit the complexes in our space and build up your funds for the next campaign.
All in all, our members have the potential to become the richest people in Eve.
