Our corporation The Liberated Front is currently at war with SUX LTD. Friday evening we had an incident and lost 1 MOA and 1 bestower, so they called in for help and so 5 BS came for support. After SUX LTD took the loot from the miner and indy, they left to bring the stuff to their HQ. after 5minutes of searching we found 1 of them, camped all the gates with 3 BS and 2 BS looking for him, he was trapped like a little mouse. Eventually he docked, left hes corporation, then came to a gate to jump out. For it was in a 1.0 system where we were blocking him, we now were unable to even open fire at him for he left hes corporation. This is the 4th time SUX LTD uses this kind of exploit to kill our miners and then return without any risk. We take small losses but are totally unable to do anything in return.
In the future CCP should change it that there is some timer to prevent anyone from leaving a corp instantly, Like when you want to delete a charactar, it takes up to 5h, this should be the same.
I filed a petition to CCP explaining all this and they replied to me that it is unfortunute that this happens but for the moment it is possible to use for it are the game rules, although they might change it in the future, this is not seen as an exploit for the moment.
He told me an exploit is a bug where player get advantage over other players, if this isnt taking advantage over our corp in times of war where we cant even fire back then I think something is wrong!
Hopefully this topic will open the eyes of CCP to see that it needs to be changed.

It certainly does SUX!
Not an exploit though - just a chicken**** way of getting out of fighting.
I suggest you have a good laugh at his cowardice and wait for CCP to come up with a good way of preventing it.

I agree, we do move to 0.0 most of the time, but we still have people in frigates and cruiser who like the safety of the high sec systems. So for them it gotta be a real ***** for the moment.

Tell me what 0.0 space with an office who isnt camped by an alliance, or do you want to give them a place in your alliance?
I know this kind of exploits, some corporation named Necrosis did the same. __________________________

There should be a delay time of min. 48 hours before you can leave your corp. What with the idea to give that player a bonus in security of -1.0 , he won't do it often.

what if the player waited those 48 hours to undock. the what would happen? you can set a bigger time limit on it but all it will take is some patience and some brains to pull it off with.

Well, setting time limits could work because for people like these guys to do this, it'd be a big pain to wait 48 hours (or however long you can blockade before 48 hours are up).
It's a pretty easy fix, and people aren't leaving corps too often so it wouldn't affect regular people too much.

I say you shouldn't be able to leave a corp when it is at war with another corp. I mean, you do vote to go to war. Well, I guess if someone declars on you ya don't but still. Once your at war, then you can't leave, EVER. I say ever since you can't clear old wars as of yet :-) Spelling corrections welcome, but don't expect me to edit my post. |

Edited by: Maggot on 31/08/2003 09:03:12 If CCP changes the rules on leaving corps instantly they will need to accomodate for ppl being kicked out. Maybe the existing hangar security rules are good enough.
i.e. -player X is an arse -his corp want him out -command to kick him out is given -all X's rights revoked instantly -X remains a member for 48hrs.
Not ideal as you would still have them in your corp channel.

Edited by: Ac3s on 31/08/2003 09:34:45 Thats true yes, thats why I ask for 24h + the corp can make a new channel for a short time for security reasons. All im saying is that something needs to be done at this, and I guess lots of people agree on that.
in RL when its war, you cant just "leave" your country and start walking amongst the enemy infantry, this is exactely what u can do in EVE for the moment and its awfull!

Now, that is just silly.
So if my corp gets war declared on it, I can't leave? If my corp CEO does something stupid and declares war on TTI, I cannot leave? If I want to join another corp, i cannot leave? You guys REALLY need to think these things through before you post them...

The solution here is tricky, but here is my suggstion. One someone leaves a corp they can not rejoin ... ever.
Then people won't just leave their corp to get out of a fight because there would be no way back in.
Or at least set this limit while corps are at war. ______________________________________________

No, there is a simple solution: Quitting a Corp should have a 12-24 hour delay. -

Yes, a delay time to leave a corp would be good. Also, rejoining the same corp after you just left it must be punished with a delay time, like 7 days.

We are using the game by all it's possibility's. We are fighting this war on our terms and as you know you started this war not we so please don't try to put us in a bad light here on this forum. To the rest of the readers please don't listen to this so called CEO of the universe (That's what he like to call himself, this pathetic ore-stealing ****er)and than giving my corp a bad name here because they could not mine afk anymore. How sad (do you have a problem with girls in RL too ac3s?).

Edited by: Ac3s on 31/08/2003 23:47:28 yeah, im afraid that we will be forced to use that kind of tactics as well. But the fact remains, if SUX does it, we are forced to do it as well, and other corporations will start doing it too. So in the end, war will only be done on 0.4 - 0.0 grounds or concord will be used to do your dirty work.
so SUX, most of us are in 0.0 as we speak. If your tough enough like you say you are, you know where to find us no bugs, no exploits, just real tactics
oh by the way, did I say U run like a chicken without a head

Other corps may just be doing it now.. Thanks to Ac3s, coming here crying and calling out exploit.. Back in your ore thief'n days, I dont recall any of us coming here and crying about it.. We use the game such as you did.. Hiding behind game mechanics....
by the way, the chicken without a head.. is still alive...
remind yer afk miners of that..
btw, how does a cruiser afk mine.???

If I start summing up the exploits TLF uses then I would be spamming the forums.
And your just frustrated that even with your superiority in material power you still loose.
Score so far is 5 kills to 3. And your material losses must be like 2 or 3 times higher.
Oh and maybe I do react a bit different then most players, but he I'm just a woman that happens to play Eve for a change. You can call me a chicken, but this chick picks your eyes out and still plays around without loosing even 1 feather. *|||| Fleet Commander SuX ltd

Is that so. vasques both you and I know that this isnt ac3s fault that this war started, your friend lystrian fired without warning because he thought ac3s was stealing, THOUGHT! And ac3s didnt take any ore untill after lystrain fired... That was 3 months ago, you started by firing at our containers blowing them up.. Shouldnt that have made it even? But hmm, you didnt stop there oh no. You went as far as losing 8 ships to concord total befor the war got "legal" by concord, and what did we lose?Hehe not nearly as many ships as you did.Exploits..bah we dont need to use them nor do we use them, we can take you out with out exploits.. trust me the day the tlf starts using exploits is the day tlf brings havoc that none can escape from. Enough time as been spent on thy you are falling from your own actions tlf will win this war by standing at the side watching your own bitter demise be brought forth by your own actions.

I believe the rules for corps are fine at the moment. You cannot change what is a good system for all of us because of one tosser. He should be punished by CCP, given a -5 rating or something. Or just keep declaring war on him. He has to make a new corp each time and this costs him money. (unless he is joining basic corps or something) Just make sure when you see him in .4 or less you toast him

Wish that was the case, but he or she, just attack then when (s)he gets in trubble (s)he askes to get kicked from corp so (s)he can rejoin when its safe... its basicly unfair. you dont get more cowardly then that.
