I hereby announce my EVE Video Competition. Rules are as follows:
- Submissions must be uploaded to your own webspace
- Videos must not be more than 5 minutes in length, that is 300 seconds. Even one second over this will result in disqualification.
- .avi .wmv and .swf formats only please - obviously this allows animation entries, so long as they're EVE themed
- Submissions must be uploaded and linked to on this thread by 28th February 2006
- Sorry Omerta Syndicate, but I can't take submissions from you. You're all ugly.
I'm not going to be too restrictive, and I can't think what other rules I need right now but if anyone comes up with something that's obviously unfair I'll make a new rule that forbids it and it'll be disqualified 
Guidelines: you don't have to make a combat video, but it does have to hold my interest. Humour is a plus and it might well turn out that I pick the one that makes me laugh most. Above all, quality, quality, quality. I want carefully edited, cut, spliced, diced and parboiled carro - er, footage. Also, I'm a musician. I know a good soundtrack when it hits me over the head and videos with boring music won't get very far 
***PRIZES***
FIRST PRIZE -- DAMNATION AMARR COMMAND SHIP*
Second Prize -- A battleship of the winner's choice and complete Tech 2 fitting for that ship
Third Prize -- An interdictor of the winner's choice
*please note that the Damnation is to be donated by a friend of mine. He has a build queue right now and the prize is at the end of that queue. If the competition ends before it has been produced, you WILL get your ship but it might be later than the other prizes.

My video submission is the first video I ever made. It's a video of my assault on a Guristas Scout Outpost in Aunenen using my now 1-year old Moa. Video quality is very high and is enhanced, in my opinion, by the total lack of GUI shots.
It's named "Between Heaven and Earth" in honour of the opening track

Also I got a shot from inside the station which I've never seen before in any vid. It happened after I clone jumped and for a while I had a really wide shot from inside a gallente station, looks awesome .

It's the only thing i got with good music / vid sync that comes close to 5 minutes.
Sadly, it's 6 minutes, I was going to remove some of the intro/credits to make it 5 minutes, but it's close to a year since i made it (march/april last year) so I do not have the raw-footage any more. :(
I could change the compressed / rendered version, but it would lose quality (which isn't exactly top since i didn't have the hardware to fraps full-size back then), so your choice.
CCP Hammer > Next patch we will make sure to boost Amarr and Nerf Caldari. |

Actually, I don't have my videoediting equipment here, and my computer that does is across the globe, so could I ask of you to simply stop the movie at 4:59 instead?
EDIT 3: Well, for a better ending you can stop it at 4:02, but it's your choice really!
I really don't want to bend the rules... at all. Can you get a friend to edit it for you and submit it in your stead? I'd accept that as your own submission if he/she stated it was for you.
And as regards Equinox, again I really have to say I can't bend the rules  sorry
