I just wanted to thank Homo Erectus, evol, and bob for the wonderful fight. 1, possibly 5 BoB members giving it a bit of lip isn't representative of the whole alliance. Almost every corp/alliance has a few scroats.

There is no need to spoil the game by been so imature but I also understand that smack is a very usefull weapon and if employed correctley it can de-morilise you enemy. I will add for the record that I am not a BOB fan by any means in fact I am very anti BOB but that said I respect 2 things about them, first they are very good at what they do and second I have not experianced much in the way of smack from them. In a war situation you could inflict 100 BS kills against them in one engagment to only have 100 more of the same pilots in BS's 10 minutes later. A Long haul battle with BoB is a battle of attrition, they have more resources, therefore you will lose, I doubt theres many alliances out there that can match the rate at which they can replace a ship. I've seen them gate camp in 0.3 in interceptors just for fun watching their own ships pop. Thats how much they love PvP. People respect them because they seem fearless, They seem fearless because anything can be replaced very quickly with in their alliance. Personally, I'm completely neutral to them as I've fought them in a 12 month campaign in the old days of the phoenix alliance. (those were the days) They work very well in groups, and seem more organized than most alliances can ever dream to be. Thats why they are respected that why they are feared. Theres a skill called surgical strike in game. I've learned that it actually stands for Band of Brothers.

Since when ganking 5 vs 1 is fun when you obviously had a choice do a 1 vs 1? I see way too many people here that are missing on the most fun element of the game: Fighting in equal odds, fighting a ship of the same class, going all guns blazing and winning with only some shreds of hull left. That's the best kind of adrelanine rush you can get in Eve. So why is everyone endorsing the ganking startegy in this thread? Ganking get things done, yet promotes very little fun or risk. Smack you shld be a privilege, if you are going to fight a 1 vs 5 battle and die your head in flammes, then yes you can smack all your heart content. But if you are in the gank fleet, that's make you look bad, no matter how many poeple here are trying to twist the facts, they still remain: Gank + Smack = mediocre at best... These points are valids for everyone, BoB got caught hand in bag, but I presume that they resort to ganking less often then most others alliances do. C'mon guys, offer your cornered enemy an honorable fight.

I was bored and tried to challange him to a polite 1 v 1 but he just flew off into the sunset...never to be seen again. The point being he didnt accept my 1 v 1...but he didnt smack me either. Win win i suppose
