Just like I said, I quit in 2009 because of how the games learning curve was completely unfriendly to new people. Yeah itGÇÖs a great game I thoroughly enjoy every aspect of it. what i do not enjoy it how the only way that it offers a season MMO player who wants to enjoy just a small amount PVE play before I start any pvp, itGÇÖs not about me not understanding the mechanics, hell learning cookie cutter specs and how specific class work along with an open range of difference to learn, just so happens to be what I love about MMOGÇÖs. What I do not love, is the fact that I can be sitting in a high sec, minding my own business (and itGÇÖs not like I ever went to someone else and blown them up when they were doing the same) running my own mission and have some class bully run up and blow me up because they think its funny, then give the excuses that I was just firing fireworks at you and that this is me teaching you by destroying everything that you worked at for the last 2 weeks.
So yeah if thatGÇÖs the only way a person can say is how other players are supposed to learn how to play this game, then why would I or anyone I know ever want to play. I mean come on, my brothers playing this game to. We both quit that long ago, I now have a lot of guild buddies who are playing rift and gw2, why would I ever try to convert them to this game if all they have to look forward to is the people who have been playing since the beginning, just wants to dump on all the newbies. And you can sit there and tell me that I havenGÇÖt read enough, watch enough videos, or any other BS about how I can just figure this game out enough to defend myself because all I feel like is a boy with a stick fighting off a pack of a pack of wolfs with no better reason than, you look like youGÇÖd be fun to screw with.
And fyi, the people in game I am talking about, if you ever want to give them a piece of your mind is as follows.

This is primarily going to attract troll replies, which while after reading your post does make be think that EVE may not be your cup of tea in general, the community should actually listen to these stories.
I don't know a solution, and to be honest, there may not be a great one. I do empathize with someone who starts on an adventure in this new, very unique game that is EVE, pouring time and energy into advancing their wallets to gain the skills and ships necessary to succeed, only to have potentially months of effort dashed by a ship 1/10th the value.
Even the "hardened" EVE veterans in these forums probably would have had serious second thoughts about continuing to play EVE if this had happened to them in their infancy, they just won't admit it. |

not gotten bigger?
no just the subs number go up year after year.... so what it hasnt got as many players as other mmo's.... none of them play with as many people as you can in eve, we have fleet fights here bigger than any wow server has logged on at any one time. the players in eve that get past the intial climb stay and persevere, that the best thing about eve. You have to work at it.
go back to your guild wars or whatever, you get to keep your stuff when you die in optional or arena 'pvp' and ontop of all that the gm's will hold your hand. Or you may prefer a to craft with a system a toddler could understand. Oh and not to forget all the stuff you grind for is useless the next year so you can grind and grind again year after year. from your post it seems you prefer a theme park game with no meaningful actions and mostly populated by 15 year olds and borderline 'creepy uncle' adults. |

You are obviously not cut out for eve, and no we do not want any changes to the game to make it less unforgiving. Eve is a harsh mistress that demands respect, your experience could easily have been avoided if you had kept your wits about you. The eve thing to do is to get back out there and not make the same mistake again, that's how you level up in eve. Stick it out and you become a player, if you don't and you decide to leave well your just some biomass in a station somewhere and as such will have no influence or effect on new eden.
what would you rather be? the choice is yours?
