Apparently NSN like to camp empire, and then cower in stations at the first sign of resistance.
A lot of people here seem to be showing NSN a lot of respect, but so far to me they have done nothing to earn it. If you are paid to fight, then please come and fight, the gankNdock tactic you guys is very very lame.

Errr....
They're mercs, they're not paid to entertain you they're paid to carry out whatever specific objective their employer wishes, so bemoaning their tactics is not exactly going to do anything other than make you look a bit daft.
Considering you're from a self-confessed corp of newbies who according to this thread hardly even knew who Eve's premier mercenary outfit (MC) was then your opinion of what they are capable of compared to the people in here giving them respect is not exactly going to carry a lot of weight.
Besides which aren't you like barely even into the first 24 hours of the contract, so how on earth can you judge?
There's an awful lot of smack and attitude eminating from Goonfleet considering their startling lack of achievements in game so far, other than to gather a horde of newbies under one banner (I'd never even heard of you until a couple of days ago). It might be a good idea just to chill out a bit, have a laugh with all these war decs and get your corp built up (and I don't mean just in numbers) before you start crowing on the forums.
People who shout too loudly about how cool they are tend to attract a bit of attention and numbers won't save you if you **** the wrong people off. Just a little advice from someone who's been around the block a few times and is used to attracting that kind of attention .

Well....we were 8 in gang when we got reports that the Goons were heading our way. We were going to sleep but got curious what they had brought so we stayed up a bit longer.
10 minutes later local went from 47 to 93...the Goons had arriwed in 9 BS 10 Crusiers and lots of tacklers...So, we have 8, they have 30+....hmm hmm what to do what to do...
All I can say is, its to bad you guys didnt stay longer, we had cake ready and were just about to hand out plates when you left the system.
And yes we were out traveling in 0.0 a bit erlier, the game lagged so much that half the gang got warped after every jumpin so we said screw it.
Dont worrie Goonies, we will bring it or recive it, we play to kill or die...

So.... If I am reading this correctly, you are looking to gank shuttles passing by and the odd miner with your 8 person HAC fleet, and if anyone comes out to fight you hide in a station?
... sounds kinda boring to me.

Reading it correctly, they decided to not engage at nearly 6:1 odds (46:8)
That's all there is to it.

Personally, alot of people in this thread need to ligten up. I can't speak for the rest of GF, but I'm here to have fun. I've lost numerous shipps and I've hardly even dented any ship we've fought. It's about fun, win or lose. And I personally expect to be losing alot more before I start putting dents in hulls.

We have a lot of members, maybe less than one percent have posted in this thread and unfortunately we're not going to be able to stop everyone in our large corp from talking smack. I think generally we're a lot more respectful than we're coming off in this thread. We're not arrogant, we're just used to war now, and I think a lot of doubt this one is going to hold many surprises, but I hope I'm wrong. We never really asked for the attention, but we do like the experience it gives our new players. Variety is the reason we live in Syndicate.
Anyway, I just want you to put the amount of smack talk in perspective, it's a few people in a corporation of over 500 active members.

Not trying be rude, but you need to realize we aren't going to jump in on a force of t1 cruisers and frigates 4 to 5 times our size. We don't have the luxury of flying cheap ships, because we don't have 70 members on all the time. Its hardly a "notch on your belt." I have respect for you guys, but don't go on the forums and mouth off that you won the battle because we left. Smacking for a fight that never occured just makes you look like a tard.
That's a fair point, and we've been telling our members to try to keep things polite, but, well, we only have so much control over them.
That said, it's just annoying to continually have people wardeclare us, bring a force down, we gather a response fleet, and new_mercenary_group runs away and never engages. . .
I mean, honestly. You have to know we're going to bring numbers, it's as unreasonable to ask us to fight on even odds as it would be for us to ask our opponents to podkill themselves without clones until they had equal skill point totals. Even when we outnumber by 4 to 1, we probably still are facing skill point totals that are 2 to 1 or more against us.
So if people come in expecting us not to blob, you're just wasting everyone's time. Either bring a force that's significant enough to engage one of our blobs, or don't bother -- and i don't mean that as a slight, it's just that it won't be any fun for either you or us, so what's the point of playing a game that isn't fun? If you aren't willing to engage an 80-person fleet, then coming down to bother us is just going to waste your time and ours both. Nothing personal, not meant as a slight. Really more just a tactical "why are you bothering?"

I know of Maya out of game, running back several years, and we (unfortunately) hang out in some common chat channels and on some common out-of-eve message boards. I've been hearing the same smack from Maya for months now, it's just gotten old. But that's a personal matter, not a corp one. For all I know the rest of his corp are all paladins of the eve technocracy or whatever. I'm just sick of Maya injecting himself into every single goon-related discussion when he's not involved in the slightest. But like I said that's just a personal annoyance, not corp-related.

I know of Maya out of game, running back several years, and we (unfortunately) hang out in some common chat channels and on some common out-of-eve message boards. I've been hearing the same smack from Maya for months now, it's just gotten old.("goonfleet can never stay in syndicate!" I'm just sick of Maya injecting himself into every single goon-related discussion when he's not involved in the slightest, and doesn't even hang out within two hour's travel of our space. To my knowledge Maya's never even seen a single goonfleet member in-game, but he still shows up, talking smack, in every single thread. . .. But like I said that's just a personal annoyance, not corp-related.
Ever heard of the phrase "forum whore"? Maya's definitely one, and thus reserves the right to inject himself absolutely anywhere he likes...
Definitely refreshing to get a non-smack response, though. I can say I did not expect that -- Proud member of the [23].
