Battlecruisers are great versatile ships in PVE and PVP but there isnt many of them. :(
Simple thread asking for another tier, maybe a lower or higher one. And hope that some people will support me. :)
A racial role would be good, such as caldari - EW, gallente - sensor damp, armarr - tracking disrupter, minmatar - target painter.
What I would really like is a gallente drone based battlecruiser. I REALLY want one.
And dont tell me about command ships, I have no intention of training for 3 months to get a ship it will take me another 3 months to earn :P.

The devs have already said they'd like to get another one in, because of the success of the first lot. At the moment, I believe they're scheduled for Kali.

yep but most use them as missle boats, would be nice to have a Missle BC with ROF and Damage/range bonuses to the missles.

Although there seems to be some agreement on useing the
ferox as a missile boat, i think its important that the caldari 'new wave' of ships are rail boats. It seems to me to be a more natural progression to go from an advanced version of a current weapon, to a hyper advanced theoretical weapon.
I have some sort of genetic defect that makes my sigs too big :( |

Well, going by the placeholder stats, everyone is getting what they want.
Caldari is a missile boat with 7 Launchers (more launchers than a Raven  )
And Gallente has a large drone bay and 5 highs. so it looks like a Mini Domi

Please don't refer to the Ferox's turret bonus in the plural, it only has one. 10% optimal bonus per level. The other is a shield resistance bonus and finally its special ability of 99% CPU reduction in gang warfare modules.

Don't really see why we need a teir 2 BC. They already can outperform battleships in a lot of situations, they are cheeper, and they pack a punch. I feel a typhoon at BS lvl 5 is less satisfying as a Cyclone at BC lvl 5 now that RMR really boosted the BCs. We shall see though... maybe the matari BC tier 2 will be nice. As for caldari getting a 7 laucher high slot BC... its needed. Heavy missiles on a ferox are lack luster but a neccessary evil. 7 with a bonus... would simply rock my socks.

tbh it's impossible to tell from the item database. however, if it was following progression then yes, it would fall into the Omen/Zealot/Geddon tree.

For another generation of BC I think it would be nice to see somthing slightly difference.
Example would a class of BC that has a slightly lower tanking ability and fewer slots but gets a special bonus for reduced fitting of BS sized weapons.

Ideally the new Caldari BC would be just like the current one except a missile damage bonus in place the hybrid range bonus.
The Galente ought to get a little drone bonus I guess but I have no idea what to do for the Cyclone. I guess it would be nice to have a resist bonus in place of the booster bonus, but that a pretty minor change.

this is how id like to see tier2 bc-s
Caldari: 8 high, 7 launcher with good damage bonuses. plz no kinetic crap
Amarr: get some help from khanid engineers. Shield tank, 50/50 turrets/missiles.
Gallente: 100m3 dronebay with 1 bonus to thermal drones. 5 turrets with falloff bonuses.
Minmatar: 5 turret/5 launcher with good tpainting bonuses.
Thats whats basically missing from each race :)
