I'm still fairly new, but I'm going to go out on a limb here...
The WCS vs Scrams dynamic seems, to me, a very miniscule part of the game. A bank of WCS is fun on ships which have no intention of fighting back, like a Kryos, a Miasmos, or ther ilk; really just because I have space. According to another thread, they "make these ships impossible to catch" and need to be nerfed. This statement was dubious at best, and is far from the case.
If I understand your complaint, you are upset that people who lay in wait for you escape by warping away?
Subsequently, this interaction says to you that WCS need to be removed from the game or altered?
I would be thrilled if people want to hunt me with said ships. For one, they will have no armor tank. Two, they will have no targeting range. I can get right up on top of them and lay into them with my webber, blasters and drones. If you dont' like to brawl, you can simply kite them at range. I would think the only issue is having a high enough DPS to slag them before they get up to warp speed.
If I run them off my site, I still win.
I am left with no other option but to conclude that you cannot possibly be serious, that this entire thread was a troll.

I use wcs to fend off ganks, in 1v1s that I feel are fair, I shut my wcs off, and fight. I shield tank most ships.
Most fights aren't fair, and eve is incredibly unbalanced.
Whining about warp core stabs is something that gankers do often, most of the time they are the ones calling buddies to help kill my tristan in a plex.

Why would you shield in three slots what you can armour in 4? And not have any tackle at all?
Remember, I'm talking about the Pre-Tiericide Cane. A shield cane could do a full rack of 425s and a pair of medium neuts and get perfectly respectable EHP out of 2 slots and rigs. An armor cane usually ended up with 220s and still wouldn't get both medium neuts. In addition, with a plate and rigs it was glacial in comparison, especially if the shield cane tossed on a nano or two (which was a perfectly reasonable swap from a TE).
Tiericide hurt the Shield cane a lot more than it hurt the armor cane. So, like I said, current conditions are likely very different from the the previous conditions we're talking about.

They should still be allowed, but you know where it says "WANTED" on most of our portraits? If you undock with warp stabs it should say "*****" in big red letters on your portrait for the rest of your eve career.
Edit: "*****" seems to be filtered out. How about "coward"?

We were discussing in corp yesterday, and with the new warp mechanics there is somethign that can be done. Add a 10% warp speed reduction per WCS fitted.
That means that fitting FULL rack of wCS in lows becomes a coslty decision.
As of now, with their current works, you fit zero or full rack (there is no incentive in making you fit 1 or 2 at most)

Shadow Serpentis has +3 too and only costs about 80m. If its just about the scramble strength its the better alternative.

Back when I was in Faction Warfare and ran into a person that had warp core stabs fitted and/or a cloak (the two usually go hand in hand with LP farmers) what I would do was to either chase them around system until they left, OR if they cloaked up and i was sufficiently bored I would remain inside the plex and complete it just to deny it to them.
On another note, no they shouldn't get removed from the game. Like people have mentioned, fitting warp core stabs is essentially nerfing your ability to fight back into oblivion. If these LP farmers don't want to fight then so be it. If they fight with their stabs fitted and then run, they are bad pvp'ers and deserve to warp into a disco phoon at their nearest stargate.
Stop crying about it and just find another person to fight. Faction Warfare is the easiest place to find fights so your argument (or lack thereof) is invalid. |

True, though Id never neut a cane anyway. Much better more efficent hulls for that.
Though Im not sure 30m/s difference counts as "glacial" but I guess thats down to perception
