I have searched the forums, but would like confirmation of whether I have the right conclusions regarding outlaw factions.
Is it the case that, with diplomacy and criminal connections both at level V, one could recover from a -5.0 corp and faction standing, taking into account one needs to be at least at -1.0 standing to do missions?
So would it be the case that if one is below -5.0 standing with, for example, Serpentis and Serpentis Corporation, one can never do missions for them?

As long as you can work for a faction's friend the standing can be repaired running storyline missions for them.
(Unless the leaking through standing adjustments are borked as they seem to be atm for Amarr.) --*=*=*-- Megadon CCP wanted a well known artist and celebrity to test the new font so it's approval would be well known. They got Ray |

Edited by: Akita T on 08/10/2006 15:31:59 Any faction standing can be repaired as long you have AT LEAST -4.999999 with a FRIENDLY faction for the "target" faction. You just have to grind and gring storyline missions for their "friends"... and take the standing hit to your "main" faction(s). Interbus doesn't count. They don't have storyline agents/missions. Sorry, no free meal here.
-4.999999999 corp/agent standing can be repaired. Do it fast. -5.000000001 corp/agent standing ? Bye bye corp. Forever. No way to repair it. No really, no way whatsoever. None. __ Always question everything. Including yourself. |

Wrong. -2.0 factions stop talking to you.
SO, what you need to do, is train skills and/or fail important missions for their opponents. _____________________________________ Stressed out with empire politics?

what makes it worse is, if you decide to run missions and AVOID faction penalties, you can't make any money because the most common missions are heavy faction-hitters like enemies abound.. which most , i might add, you cannot even determine what faction you're going against until you accept the mission.
even ratting doesn't hurt your faction as fast as some of these missions, and a 4-hour reject timer just seems to be forcefully holding mission-runners back from making decent money at any pace to be bragged about..
People argue when their personal views are at odds, whereas a debate is a more formal method of analyzing the angles of an issue. |
