UPS units only give you enough time to shut everything down before cataclysmic failure.
I.E., when all the hamsters die at the same time, a UPS gives you just enough time to either replace the hamsters or shut everything down. |

I recently mailed you a copy of my work and leisure schedule and requested you ensure that you arrange Downtime to coincide with the periods titled working , sleeping , eating or shagging.
Whilst this downtime did coincide with the start of a time tabled "shagging" period, I must protest that I finished considerably before this DT did. |

Sounds like those Ramsans are having issues to me.
worked with 1 before on a large system we had similar thread lock issues which after a few months of head scratching we found it to be some dead or dieing NAND inside the system.
those ramsan 400s were beast at the time they caused my client nothing but hassle.
in the end they dropped it and went a dif route.
hope you guys get it fixed.
Especially for SQL Server you might want to change your database to turn READ_COMMITTED_SHAPSHOT on.
This prevents your select queries from locking up if there are pending inserts/updates on the data.
also check your favorable transaction isolation level.
is the app in question experiencing deadlocked transactions CCP ?

believe it or not the server shutdown just saved my ship i was being attacked by some player in a stealth bomber and i was losing, luckily the server shutdown message came up and he let me go  |

That's no power issues. Half of the things working and the other half were disabled. Some stuff were available for some people and the other half was not. The opposite was happening for other groups. It seems to be a database issue. A power problem would simply black out areas completely.
Now it says the server is online, but it has no address to connect to!
