With deepest regret I have to inform the populace of Placid that several of our members have decided to reverse their course of action. Instead of hunting pirates, they left our company and began to prey on easier targets.
That they do so by abusing the trust Placid Reborn has built up over a long time with other residents of the area only enrages me more. They even started piracy while still being a member of our corporation, aparently working to discredit us.
If you see Suuji Prath, Sicex or Aria Sky in the same system with you, assume they are out to kill you, because they now seem to be full members of Suffoco Noctis, a pirate company who advertises the Placid region as comparable to ".. a region with kills as simple as walking into a Daycare for the Deaf and opening fire with an ... assault rifle."
This betrayal has put our corporation into a turmoil that I am not yet sure we will be able to overcome, and the accusations coming in from people that have been attacked does not help at all, especially since our CEO cannot be reached at the moment.
Despite this, be safe.

In any endeavor there comes a time to refocus, rethink, and rededicate. You should not be discouraged that you have lost some of your more unsavory elements; instead you should be encouraged by the fact that you are not associated with them any longer. It is likely that they were going to turn eventually.
If you are concerned that they know the inner workings of your corporation, your common patrol paths, or your battle tactics the time has come for your group to seek out new skills, new allies, and maybe even new ideologies.
Aside from the obvious notion of seeking out some of the various other anti-pirate groups who make their home in Placid, you could take steps to turn Intaki into a self-policed market hub--if goods and isk are moving through the system and it becomes a place with a reputation for being punishing to pirates, you may see a swell in membership and more friendly corporations moving into the area. Of course, it could very well be that the early stages of such a plot would call pirates down like a devastating swarm of locusts, but if you could manage to pull the venture off with a minimum of casualties on your side, you might find yourself in a very solid financial and strategic position in the region.
I know it is easy to be demoralized, especially considering how some of the Intaki on GalNet tend to talk about themselves as if they are the bastard stepchildren of EVE. There is a time and a place for woe-ridden complaints, and that time is childhood. From what history readings I have done on the matter, the most revered of those in the Intaki culture are set apart by their abilities in leadership and focus--there are many non-Intaki who could be impressed by these traits and could aid in achieving this lofty goal.
As Vendrin said, the show of determination in cleaning up Placid is a noble endeavor. Consider this an opportunity to become better than you were yesterday.

This is sad news. So many are deluded by fantasies of acquiring easy ISK through preying on the innocent. To commit crimes on your own doorstep; to attack those you once called friends; well, that is worthy only of contempt. *Spits* I hope you pay a high price for your despicable crimes - most common pirates do.

Pytria, I've notified the surrounding Placid piracy corporations about your future plans and they are on full alert. May the blood of your corporation teach you the lesson of inaction when your help was needed long ago by the citizens of Placid.

Pytria, this is indeed disturbing news. I am saddened to hear that a group of pilots who are such a beacon of hope for the Placid region and Intaki everywhere have been so cruelly betrayed. All I can do is offer my support, meagre as it is, to Placid Reborn at this time.
The thankless task of trying to keep Placid free from piracy is a difficult and trying one, and I can only assume it has proven too much for these individuals. Ultimately, without the short term intervention of the Federation, and the long term building up of a viable Intaki state, all such endeavours will be subject to the ennui these pilots so obviously have felt. I implore all Intaki to look to political means to gain security, and hope the Intaki Socialist Party can help.
On a personal note, I hope these scum are made to suffer for what they have done to the decent people of Placid and Placid Reborn. -- Intaki Socialist Party Intaki of EVE, unite! You have nothing to lose but your chains! |

If you are going to try to stir up trouble, you could at least make some attempt to link your statement in a way to make a sensible condemnation.
As it stands, though, you look more like you were taking a poorly thought out snipe at the sepratist movement, one that really has rather little to do with the immediate problem of Placid's insecurity by independant pirate groups. There is no causal link between the rise of pirates and (perhaps misguided--I'll leave judgement on that to another thread) requests for Intaki sovereignty. Or is there some information that I'm missing here?
Or are you trying to say that the Intaki people are not given state-funded protection because of some secret act of submission to the Federation that they have yet to do?
Either way, this sniping only serves to divert attention from the topic at hand. I suppose this might be preferred if your interests lie in further destabalization of the region, but that, in the end, would probably best be served by shooting some more people.
Or else by better developing an argumentitive style to do a better job of discrediting people. I guess I'm just trying to say the subject deserves more than a pithy one-liner.

If Placid Reborn do overcome this unfortunate incident, I am certain they will make sure that Suffoco Noctis pays for this when they manage to re-enter the region under their influence.

I'm not buying into this analogy. Cancers are hard to spot; pirates are not. Cancer grows at its own pace, branching out from a single source; pirates strategise and the key to all of their operations is in mobility and initiative.
Apathy and inaction would be the cancer in this situation. A disease I am probably myself a part of.

I think the reason behind this change matters greatly to all those concerned. I must admit, I am very surprised to see Suuji and the others take these steps and join with Malka. We've seen the Intaki attempt to advance the separation agenda with violence before - I know this personally, as does Jurgan as well. Though undoubtedly these acts caused great notoriety for the movement and perhaps raised general awareness of it, I'm quite surprised to see it pursued now, at this late hour.
I do understand that the death of millions in Reschard may have pushed some people off the precarious edge. I wonder if this is the case. The struggle to maintain civility against the depredations of our darker natures is one I know very well as well.
I'd like to hear from the persons themselves, regarding their motives for this change in direction. I must also wonder at Malka's projected gains in this.

Please save your insults and claims of betrayal.
My cause, our people, have been betrayed for hundreds of years. Pytria, we both watched the millions burn on Reschard V as the Federation stood idle and silent. The Grand Federation is a lie. Its democracy is a farce. The other states are hardly better. The time for process and petitions is over.
The law in the Intaki Syndicate is quite simple. Defend yourself, or avoid aggressors, or you will perish. The weak must be tought of their sloth and ignorance. Let the strong lead the rest. I know now that I am led by strength, found in pilots such as Malka Badi'a, Sicex, and Aria Sky.
Don't let the blood on our hands deceive you, we are are not the only murderers. We are simply honest about it.

How deafeningly unoriginal of them...
I'll spare the public a metaphorical retrospection of unwelcome news and get right to the point; In the age where death is of little consequence to the pilot community and reputation carries a far heavier burden, such decent into madness will not go unpunished in the great cosmic wheel of justice. Sadism and chaos are short lived indulgences, and only time will tell how long your reign of terror will persist before you rouse a more fearsome predator.

A few weeks ago Suuji was flying alongside me in the SoE convoy to Reschard V. He ate with my family on Arderonne and told the children Intaki folk tales. Now I have to tell them to kill him on sight. He was always the most militant of us when it came to Intaki separatism and the use of violence, but also the most dedicated to our cause. Now he's lost even that, randomly attacking allies, Intakis - even Kaeleron, one of our corporation's oldest and closest friends and a great benefactor of the Intaki people.
I believe Suuji is now completely insane. From what I can gather from past conversations and the few writings he has left behind, a botched cloning some time ago left him with latent schizophrenia which worsened to the point where he believed he was a reincarnation of an infamous Intaki terrorist. Now even that illusion has been replaced by nothing: no greater cause, pure violence and rage to no purpose. He's drawn two of our youngest members into his delusion, either by sabotaging their own clonings or by force of his charisma on their impressionable minds.
So yeah, painful as it is, three of our best pilots have taken the midnight shuttle to Crazy planet. Target them with my blessing.

Some of you have extended your best wishes to them - please understand that they are not the same people you knew. Under no circumstances should you trust them, no matter how deep your friendship was. They've already shown how they will manipulate that friendship to kill you without remorse. If you see them, run - if you can kill them, do it immediately and show no mercy.
While I do not know the other two, I have spoken to Suuji after his supposed spell of "insanity". I would agree that in many ways he is not the same person that he once was, but development is a fundamental part of the human experience. Only the intellectually dull-minded think that people cannot change and that they are inherently .. well, anything. There is always room for change.
Some might question the worth of development along such an axis of villainy, saying that hoisting the black flag is a sign of devolution and not of any greater achievement. It would all be subjective, until your worlds come crashing into each other.
I am reminded of something I said on these very same forums not long ago. It is true that I was somewhat different myself back then and that I operate under a different code of behaviour right now, but I still find my words fitting.
"It is in this galaxy that we must live and it is therefore in our nature to fight for our rights, so to you minions of the empires I say this: step off your high pedestal and stop preaching to us, claiming that only we are to blame for the evils of the world, while you commit the very same sins.
I have accepted that people will always fight against that which differs from their narrow concept of what is acceptable and decent. It is for this reason that I have chosen my tribe, surrounded myself with people whom I trust, and armed my battleship with the most powerful weapons on the market. It is among the pirates of the galaxy that I have found those who posses the clearest vision, their minds clouded by the least illusions. I salute their honesty.
Let us continue our battle against mediocrity, hypocrisy and against the mechanisms of control which would put food on the plates of the undeserving and lazy."
I believe it is this battle - which I once espoused - that the Suffoco Noctis crew fight, and that Suuji and the others have now joined. Good luck, may your luck and strength be tested many times.

I am not sure this is exactly the same Miss Yubari.
Straight from the horse's mouth as it were and simply oozing with honesty and integrity...
The Massacre of Placid
Suffoco Noctis entered the Placid region of Gallente space little over a month ago with the idea of relaxing after many guerilla wars spread across multiple other corners of the galaxy. A trail of blood followed the original three corporation members of NOCTS and it gave off a uneasy scent to the anti-pirate coalitions that commonly patrolled the Placid borders. With the defense of Placid Reborn and the unofficial alliance designated Placid Defense coalition, we were certain that the borders would be well guarded enough for our brief retirement so long as we stayed quiet about our activities.
But the memories and horror others have witnessed firsthand quickly followed our paths and our names became quickly recognized within even the smallest nooks of Placid. It was time to leave... but like hell we were going to just walk out of here. If we took the first step to leave then the bodies of those who defended Placid would litter the nebulas like sand upon a beach. Speaking with trusted friends we began a brief and unnoticed recruitment period, bringing to the ranks of NOCTS three new members. All previously within the Placid Reborn corporation, their knowledge of EVE and tactical capability were unrivaled by others we had considered and quickly they adapted to the change from prey to hunter. Suffoco Noctis had taken a deep breath of life, and it was time to remind Placid that their saftey was not in the hands of those who protected it. Their saftey existed only because we, and many other pirate corporations around us, allowed them that small comfort.
The knife was inserted deep within the heart of placid and all six members of NOCTS began a brutal spree of ransomless murders. No questions. No hesitation. The souls of our victims never made it beyond their mortal corpses for our blades cut deep enough to destroy their defensive spirit. By the cunning tactics and determaination, Suffoco Noctis was able to eliminate the following ships in outright combat/counterassaults and belt piracy within a two-day timeframe:
4 Pod-class Jovian wetgraves 1 Wolf-class Minmatar Assault Frigate 3 enyo-class Gallente Assault Frigates 5 Thorax-class Gallente Cruisers 1 Celestis-class Gallente Cruiser 2 Vexor-class Gallente Cruisers 2 Brutix-class Gallente Battlecruisers 1 Iteron Mark IV-class Gallente Industrial 1 Iteron Mark V-class Gallente Industrial 1 Retriever-class ORE Barge 1 Typhoon-class Minmatar Battleship 1 Dominix-class Gallente Battleship 3 Megathron-class Gallente Battleships
While the numbers may seem miniscual to the older piracy corporations, the list above is something I am incredibly proud to display. It isn't just myself or any other singular person in NOCTS, but everyone's combined dedication and loyalty to friendship and bloodshed. I am proud of each and every member of NOCTS and couldn't imagine flying with a better crew. To the new recruits: Sicex, Aria Sky, and Suuji Praath, welcome aboard. You've certainly earned your place here. What we've accomplished in the past two days will leave a mark on Placid for many months to come. And as we pull away from Placid and move onto a new area, let the galaxy know one thing clearly.
Suffoco Noctis is alive... and the souls of the damned follow behind us.

Hmm, Nooey and GoGo - perhaps you're right! I haven't spoken with Praath since he left our station to pursue his dreams as a happy-go-lucky swashbuckler of space, a ruffian with a heart of gold and two plucky young pilots beside him. And I wasn't there when their ships glinted in the starlight as they approached a hapless Industrial, its pilot quaking in his pod - with fear but also relief that he was being scrambled by the "good" sort of pirate, the ones with a smile in their heart and a spring in their step, who rob from the rich and give to starving Intaki orphans, leaving their victims shaken but alive and with a rich new perspective on life.
Killmails don't tell the whole story, do they? And I should have thought to consult with our dear vagabonds before shooting my mouth off. Perhaps their 'victims' were speaking out of anger and not being fair. Sure, our three anti-heroes might have joined up with their new chums in Suffoco Noctis and roamed the badlands of Placid, the home of their people and the place they'd fought so long to protect. And sure - for a bit of fun - if they happened upon a fellow wanderer, they would scramble, fire on and destroy his ship, murdering hundreds to thousands of (probably Intaki) crew, catch the pilot's pod and kill him too before zooming off through the wreckage and frozen corpses to find a fresh kill. And yeah, for a lark if they came across some old friends of theirs they'd convo them, quickly gain their trust, lure them to where their buddies Malka and the gang were hanging out, and butcher them, leaving not a single soul alive. Yeah, this is all true...
But it's not the whole story, and I have Nooey and GoGo to thank for helping me see the big picture. For instance, thanks to GoGo I now know that while my three former friends did do these things, they had a good reason, and that was for personal development! Thousands may have died senselessly but in the process Suuji, Aria and Sicex became better, more well-rounded people. Hell, maybe if I tried to patch things up between us right now our friendship would be even deeper thanks to their recent life-changing experiences.
And thanks to both GoGo and Nooey, I now know that Suuji, even after going absolutely raving bonkers and murdering a bunch of innocent strangers and former friends, is still quite capable of carrying on a normal conversation! As we know, words speak as loudly as actions, and they sure speak louder than the silent screams of a few thousand frozen corpses floating forever in the lonely blackness of space. I'm relieved to know that I'd see my dear friend Suuji has hardly changed at all if we could only get together for a few laughs and a few drinks in some bar.
While I'm thinking positive thoughts, I'll point out it's quite possible that while you were talking to Suuji about the good ol' days he was, at that very moment, opening a ship's hull to the vacuum. That's a reassuring thought, isn't it? While he was killing he took the time out of his day to call up an old friend and reassure them that he was still the same old lovable, huggable Suuji and they had no reason to fear him next time he invites them to join him and Malka for afternoon tea.
Wake up, your friend is gone.

A shame, I was looking forward to working along side you one day Suuji. Now that seems much less likely, altho I suppose when war breaks out, we'll both have Gallente ships on the receiving ends of our weapons. Perhaps the Intaki movement needs to show some force after the Reshard V attack, and take and fortify their homeworlds before the Federation makes another move.
Those GLS talking about morality and such were highly amusing to say the least.

Firstly, Captain DeAngeluotti, we are not Gallente. So of course we wouldn't be "true Gallente at heart". Secondly, these are our actions and no longer reflect on Placid Reborn. I find it silly to blame a whole corporation for the less scrupulous actions of a few of its members. Wouldn't you agree, considering your own employment history?

The people of intaki are well with the exception of the latest unexplained event. Trade of world is yes a concern, but i must focus on immediate problems facing the federation.

How unexpected from members of society...blaming others when they are unwilling to stand up for themselves...So now Gallante are the problem with Placid? Perhaps the problem is the region's own people putting forth minimal amounts of coordinated effort to stem the tide of pirates that pass in and out every day? I joined Placid Reborn in hopes of helping a people that have been overlooked for too long. However coordinated efforts to doing anything meaningful were minimal.
I would like to apologize to those Intaki who put forth effort behind their ideals.
Perhaps my view is jaded because of my present company. Now that it has been thinned out, maybe things will change. I find it ironic to hear a director that was not much more than a pleasant voice to speak to over the comm channel complain about the Intaki condition. You were one of our leaders. Why didn't you do anything? You failed your former friends, and yourself. Enjoy your fall from grace, may your skull land hard when you hit the bottom.
To Aria, and Sicex...(laughs)..you two...always the followers...watch yourselves. Maybe you will be there for each other when the dagger of your new friends is embedded in your back. Maybe one can pull it out for the other... -----------------------------------------------

Seriously Selling smutt to the highest bidder and promoting GLS slave fights for the higher bidder and you claim to be working for the good of the Federation. Ha!
Howevor GLS decides to make there isk is up to them. Theyre not a proactive group when it comes to Placid Politics. If you cared for you people youd come back home and defend it with every last round of Antimatter you have. Alas, you took the easy way out and decided to become a member of an "Entertainment" based organization. Decidedly, you chose to to live your life and now claim to know anything about the plight of not only Intaki, but other Placidians living in squaller. Make no mistake, if you said, I am concerned about Intaki and PLacid, yet you had to lie and say you work to better the Intaki. It was implied in your statement that your proud to be Intaki yet your so removed from the Problems of your homeworld that I dont see how you can be anything but ashamed to be Intaki in a Gallente world.
Make no mistake, If you want to deal with threats abroad and piracy elsewhere, more power to you. Just don't claim to care about Placid when you obviously don't.
Unless of course you use its low police protection to hold races so a few of the racers would get ganked on the route.

Your ignorance shows.
Every single day, upwards of 100 ships of the Serpentis, Angels, and Amarr slavers and their escorts fall to our guns. We have our own priorities. We care about defending the planetbound individuals from slaver attacks more than protecting a handful of pod pilots.
And defending the Federation, a united and strong Federation does more for the Intaki people that anything you have ever done Mr. Engel.

You are all missing the most material issues in these events.
What is Placid Reborn corporation doing internally to their employees to engender such a violent and immoral response? Are anti-pirate forces so harried in the area that their pilots are going over the edge?
That is person not a pirate, that is à a demon. It is so far over the top it is hard to fathom. And yet, these former members were engaging pirate forces until their monumental divergence from reason?
There has to be more to this. Perhaps an investigation should be undertaken into the Placid Reborn corporation itself. Otherwise, they are going to be seen as a staging area for à creatures like that ((points at quote)). I do not understand the motivation of Sky above? I understand what Suuji Praath is saying from his communication above. But were Placid Reborn officers not alerted to these animals while they were still in the corporation? How could this have come as a surprise?
Secondly, Snow above mentioned that these former members were followers. It seems so. But the universe could use some more followers like these: ôI am yours Malka, do with me as you will. Hurt me, kill me, love meà but keep me close to you. I am yours and there is no other.ö
Followers yes, betrayers yes, but that is the kind of unmitigated loyalty that would strike fear into the hearts of pirates in the Placid region IF it were formed within AP corporations like Placid Reborn. Do your officers create these sorts of relationships?
Instead, Placid Reborn is producing these ... outlaws and then warning the rest of us to clean up their mess.
Answers should be required, starting with the corporation spawning these murderers.
Finally, to the GLS that keep intervening in this channel: I have never been a purveyer of your holovid filith. But you should consider breathing new life into your product lines by contacting these outlaw organizations. ((From the above quote)): She is my sister, my loverà my master.ö
If the GLS could supply me with a holovid of these pirates æworking togetheràclosely, if you know what I mean,Æ then I will certainly join your Holovid of the month club.

When a director goes rogue without any warning, yes it comes a surprise. Suuji turned his back on the ideals he claimed were his and those of his corp and decided to follow the path of least resistance: hate and death. Any simpleton can hate and kill. It takes minimal mental faculties to pull the trigger of a railgun and slice through an innocent. Investigate Placid Reborn all you want. Why would a Gallante side with them if they were truly a breeding ground for pirates? Aria and Sicex...are followers, plain and simple. Their messages of subservience proves that. Of course you do not know Aria's motivation because you do not know the context of her message to me.
Quote: ôI am yours Malka, do with me as you will. Hurt me, kill me, love meà but keep me close to you. I am yours and there is no other.ö
You would have follows such as these? Simple mindless husks of flesh? No thanks, that is nothing more than slavery of a different flavor...
Quote: Instead, Placid Reborn is producing these ... outlaws and then warning the rest of us to clean up their mess.
Who said anything about you cleaning up our messes? I do not beleieve that was included in any corporate directive to the public...Personally I do not know who you are, that you think you may make demands of my corp. I can assure you, I witness any wrong doings in Placid Reborn I will go to my grave fighting to end them. The others may be heavy on talk about ideals, but I am not. Action will be taken... -----------------------------------------------

Luna, although I do not speak for Placid Reborn if you feel the need to investigate us, go right ahead. We have nothing to hide.
I understand you wanting to judge our entire corporation based on the recent actions of some of our ex-members. You are concerned that the sum of those parts make the whole. I assure you that is not the case.
It appears that Suuji has decided to embrace his radical side. He did not like that some of us in Placid have taken a more peaceful approach. He believes that makes us weak, when in fact it is quite the opposite. As, to why he and Aria and Sicex would take up with murderers, that is something only they can answer.

To Placid Reborn i wish them well, and hope that they endure. Perhaps it is fortunate you lost some radical members now instead of later. Though you may wish to keep a tighter leash on certain members who like to drive wedges between people

I fail to see how badmouthing a law-abiding corporation would serve any purpose, thus I ask all Placid Reborn pilots to refrain from insulting Glamour Bunnies or anyone else who tries to take advantage of this situation to insult us. Stay silent, and know that you are above such tactics.
Luna, feel free to investigate all you want. We have nothing to hide. Yes, we may have bred them, but it definitely was not our goal. And while they might have learned with our corporation, it was Malka who gave them the direction they are heading now - a direction that might well lead them into a head-on collision with PR pilots. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me.
Now, I'd appreciate it if everyone would focus on the situation in Placid instead of fighting among ourselves. I can imagine how the various pirates sit at their screens and giggle, something I'd like to deny them.

Knowledge and wisdom are based on past experience and current levels of intereaction. The members of Placid Reborn are not above such tactics as insults, anger, or frustration as their past and present show clearly. Their outcries against lawful corporations such as GLS, or anyone that doesn't agree with Placid Reborn for that matter, are as abundant as the corpses in Placid. The veil of anti-piracy and brotherhood are a simple farce within your corporation. For when the tables turn and Placid Reborn feels they have the upperhand or begins to demand public respect, the same heartless actions and words will spring from the mouths of Placid Reborn members like racisim from an Amarrian.
Count your corporation's days, Pytria. For it is in weakness and war that friendships are tested and moral boundaries evident. --------------

Ahm, if your logic were true then the little animalistic display your minions put on would be rife everywhere. All they have proved is, that loyalty is rare thing in this cluster, which many are already aware of, and that some would readily abandon it for the sake of a "drug", a drug which flushes away all their sense of morality and humanity to expose a writing creature who is totally dependant on bloodshed as an outlet for something they cannot begin to control.
Your attempts to link your behaviour as "normal", given your current state are laughable.

My corporation has no need for drugs and we are fully aware that our own actions of murder and laughter are not common personality traits. But to see the members of Placid Reborn lash out at the public and other corporations because of corporate stress, both economic and emotional, and then for one of their leaders to remind them that they are above such tactics is a glaring joking. To be reminded that one is not scum of the galaxy and that better words should be used is the acceptance that the line was crossed in the first place.

No one hates those they pity. I choose to lead a simple life of death and meyhem, plain and simple. Justify it with whatever words you choose to but your life is as simple as that. Independent members of Placid Reborn are free to express their opinions regarding GLS or any other corporation. Do you see the title of CEO attached to Jon's comm feed? No? Then perhaps he does not speak for everyone in the corporation nor represent everyone's feelings. Jon is very expressive, and as far as I am concerned, free to do what he wishes, and say what he wishes. Apparently your perception of corporaiton managment is different. Name a corporation that would not go through a period of adjustment after loosing what we thought were three outstanding members, and IO will show you a weak corporation that is ready to crumble. An emotionless response from PR would indicate premature death, not stability.
I have offered up enough of my time for your endless prattle. Continue on with the threats...do what you feel you need to...assume we are becoming complacent or falling apart and see how pleasant it is to be a heartless pirate in Placid...I look forward to your return...I am sure I will be high on your list of targets because well, we know how dangerous those miners can be... infact CONIN just broke a 200 man alliance that based out of placid and the tail end of verge vendor region. It fell becuase they were weak and fought among them selves rather than fighting like they should have. rather boring actually.

One of the more amusing things in the world of EVE.. where weaklings fighting for justice and freedom turn into lawless scum, preying on those which they swore to protect.
You are no more capable of protecting others than the Federation is capable of protecting you. Welcome to reality. Dropping your idiotic ideals and embracing the methods of the Syndicate is taking you one step closer to the absolute truth.

Our corporation does not require boosters of any sort to kill and slaughter the people of Placid, nor anywhere else. The words Sicex speaks rings true in the hearts of NOCTS and it would be wise to not misplace their intent. Those who achieve great power are victims to both the demon of corruption and the companion of fear. The fear of losing such power encourages the corruption to dig deeper within the spirit of such an enemy, in vain hope to prevent loss and decimation.
We are the deliverers of corruption because of the shadow of fear brought with us. Placid felt that ideaology first hand and their flurry of anger here is no different than a brightly burning candle that fights for the oxygen around it, just before it is extinguished with the wave of a hand. --------------

Desiring to control and/or protect an entire region of space goes against the nature of "space"; "Space" desires to be wild, not ordered.
However, there is nothing more noble than to advance an ideal in order to bring about growth of a region within it's natural wild state. There can be a measure of order within the wilderness if we confront our environment as partners rather than as conquerors.
I commend the ideals of Placid Reborn. Let not the actions of those who once flew beside you own you. Your cause is just, give yourselves to it.

Multiple attempts from other corporations have been made to form a defensive line to help Placid grow into a open place of production and travel, but have been rejected each time in the name of "refusal to support the Federation". One alliance in particular, The Cyrene Initiative, has recently offered their assistance in the rebuilding and security of Placid as an open area for multiple other corporations. So far the negotiations have turned into nothing more than yet another "refusal to support the Federation". Make no mistake, Able, Placid Reborn will talk about plans of the unification and "good of Placid" but will only accept the transformation on their own terms of power and manipulation of the surrounding territories.
That is why Suffoco engaged the Placid region initially. Let Placid have their growth and enjoyment, but to see it fall into the hands of a corporation that claims things through alternative motives was not something we could allow. --------------

Edited by: Jon Engel on 06/03/2006 23:26:42 For all purpouses the Placid Region is home of the Intaki and is under the rule of the Gallente Federation. They refuse to police or defend it. This shows are reasons to not support the Federation or Federation paramilitary groups, such as Cyrene initiative.
It's abundent proof that the Intaki are forced to live in a region blockaded from trade and prosperity due to Piracy. Im of the beleif that Humanity as well as space needs a governing body. Humanity is too barbaric for us to cling to anarchic ideals of self protection and tribal unity.
As pod pilots we can and will never stop fighting. Fighting for a brighter future for the billions of Intaki who starve, live on the streets and get killed daily by lack of equality within the Gallente society.
One day I hope the Intaki take what is theres. Yes for it is theres. Intaki is there world, just as much as syndicate is there region. No Gallente can claim soverignty over Intaki nor would I stand by and allow it. It is our world and Placid is our home,
When the blessed Federation ignores there own peoples cries for help it is self evident that we have all rights to dissolve ties with that of another Nation. We should not have to quarter there ships and troops in stacmon when they ignore our homeworld.
These are the rights that I demand the Gallente hear.
1. The Right to teach our children our languages and religions and history in schools.
2. Equal protection for all minoritys. Meaning protected and safe homeworlds for Mannar and Intaki.
3. The right to govern our own affairs when the Gallente do nothing but keep us in ghettos and crime ridden stations and cities throughout a decrepid region of piracy.
4. The right through any means neccesary to publicly support a police force or Naval Militia to police our worlds through local taxes.
when said things are denied to a people. It is proof that we should abolish all political ties with said Nation and form our own.

Edited by: Malka Badi''a on 06/03/2006 23:45:01 Jon, your loyalties are misplaced. When you refuse assistance from capsuleer pilots that have no direct ties or soverignity to the Federation itself, even with corporations that are a high mixture of Intaki/Gallente pilots such as Ixion Defence Systems, then you are going beyond simply refusing assistance from the federation and are instead seeking to isolate your cause to a singular corporation. Outright denial of assistance to secure Placid into a profitable region for exploration and production from non-Federation deployed pilots is a bad move on part of Placid Reborn.
Demand and refuse from the Federation all you wish, borders are meaningless. But to plan the construction of your own region by manipulating Placid into your own personal playground will result in only more death. --------------

Since I heard the names of parties I represent mentioned I felt perhaps a few words from The Cyrene Initiative and Ixion Defence Systems are in order.
To say that seeing former defenders of the people of Placid turn their guns upon their trusting friends upsets us would be a grave understatement. We of Cyrene know the cruel sting of treachery and to see it repeated again and again only gives us a more dismal view of the pod pilot community.
Now a few of you may be wondering what Cyrene has been doing while Placid Reborn has been fighting valiantly against piracy. To answer this I will remind you of Aegis Militia's vicious war against The Cyrene Initiative. This war started with the Coreli Corporation turning to piracy and leaving The Cyrene Initiative. The war then continued with a massive corporate theft from Cyrene and proceeded to end after Aegis Militia tired of chasing Cyrene's few remaining members.
While the war never broke our resolve to carry on it did hamper our ability to protect the peoples of Placid and while Ixion Defence Systems has recovered from the war fully The Cyrene Initiative as a whole has not. Many former Cyrene pilots have taken on work in other corporations and a number have taken up to living life planet side leaving us understaffed to take an anti piracy campaign.
None the less we will offer our assistance to Placid Reborn in these troubled times and I would encourage any able Federation citizens to assist if possible.
All Federation citizens have a right to equal safety and security, it is a shame that it takes groups such as Placid Reborn to show our dimwitted leaders this.

This is what we came to do.
*The Kameiras raise higher forcing her to arch her back. Fade brings his hand back plunges the bladed fist into her chest, a fountain of hearts blood erupting into view. The sickening crunch of her rib cage and blood curdling screams seem to fill the room. A vicious twist of Fade's arm brings the woman's heart into view. Fade drops the still beating heart in front of the monitor, leaving to beat it's last few feeble attempts to feed it's owners body before giving in to deaths embrace. The woman's now forgotten body flops loosely in it's death throws on the deck.
Now do you see. We came to kill, to maim, to break wills. Having done that, we moved on. Now the fact that we found people as murderous as we are is great bonus for us. The only thing your corporation has done is have a few new members take advatage of a few other trusting, former friends. So, you did kill, congratulations. You did maim, you injured the trust of the region...You did reinforce everyone's understanding of your motivations...simple minded death and destruction, the most baseless of emotional motivators. You and those like you are nothing more than jackels, quick strike in numbers, then disappear.
The one thing you did not do, the one thing you will never do is break anyone's will. You are no different than any other pirate outfit in the Placid region, well except that, you are not in the Placid Region now. Edited by: Malka Badi''a on 07/03/2006 23:41:57 ((When the hell did this go OOC in an IC forum?
The above chatlog was made after a series of OOC actions. PDC had granted us permission to leave the Placid region so long as there were no further engagements. LoG broke that agreement and to make matters worse the kill they had on us occured during the cluster errors, meaning I sat at gate for 10-15 seconds waiting for the system to load. It was a broken contract which was later discovered to be something that Booster Terrick decided to take OOC information and use it IC to "get back at us" for destroying multiple corporation members of his. The combination of a good OOC friend using a contact against me and the cluster failing during my assault caused my outlash.
Yes I acted out of line, regardless of the OOC and cluster problems, and out of character. An apology was made afterwards but no evemail was ever returned. One ship kill against the 26 is a loss I'm perfectly willing to accept.
Keep OOC in the OOC forums, NOT in an IC communications channel.)) --------------

What is even odder was that malka was mentioning this on a channel and stated she had a cease fire agreement with sgt slaughter who, apparently, in her eyes, represented the entire region...very curious. Apparently, sgt slaughter wasn't aware of this, like the rest of the region...No one in PR said anything either...Any other corp mates make a deal and not tell anyone else? (laughs) |

Edited by: Rex Mundus on 07/03/2006 23:42:36 I looked into the story...apparently they were trying to convo Booster, but he kept declining.
We didn't break any agreement - we, and as I understand it, no-one, received said memo.

Of all people even we didn't engage anyone just in case the load-balancing errors were giving people problems. Losing a ship is fine, ships are replacable. But using server lag and bugginess to your advantage? Come on.)) --------------

Server had just come up, as we all know the memory leaks took time to take effect, we took advantage of nothing other than the knowledge that you had logged out in a particular system and which direction you were heading.
It was simply an execution of a known pirate.
As for the phantom memo - maybe Booster repaid your previous backstabbing by withholding the information?
The plot thickens.....

((LoG, was a good gank, wtfever, move on and yes you had good intel... hmm wonder why. Anyway that aside, ganking during sever instability risks the loss and crupption of the files that make your char. Think about losing your char because you got ganked by someone. Oh and one more thing WE ARE NOT PIRATES. Sadly I had to get the corp through another gate camp 5-6 jumps later. Man good job you got one of us... move on. And get your OOC crap outta this thread))

Edited by: Rex Mundus on 08/03/2006 07:51:16 ((another outright lie - how quaint. no spamming of trade chats was done at all, we simply opened ONE convo window asking if Aria Sky would be willing to pay in Quafe to leave the system and ONE trade window offering 2,500isk worth of Quafe(we figured Aria wouldn't actually have Quafe onboard) - to say this prevented aria from undocking is plainly absurd. Way to go to ruin your reputation with absolute lies, fortunately it seems you were never that credible in the first place . Snigg came and went as they are prone to do, Aria never left so I'm not sure what relevence they have to this. As for server instabilities, stop being such a baby. Anyone who wishes to undock and carry on as normal with known problems abound has agreed to take on the risks. To assume you would be left entirely unharmed to haul your gear to a more preferable system is as naive as it was wrong.
For the record, the conversation with Aria Sky: [ 2006.03.05 01:55:40 ] Aria Sky > ((Hi Rex!)) Jesus christ, way to totally ruin an OOC thread with accusations. IC and OOC personalities are completely different and if you can not seperate a game from a reality (they are pirats, must be liars in real life lolololol) then you need to find a new game.
Devs, let's lock this. It's destroyed completely a wonderful roleplaying thread)) --------------
