As far as I'm aware you ganked one of my corpies about 2 months ago, who was a relative noob. Then you decided it was time to leave, when we had your ged scrammed for about 6 . Oooooh, ginger likes teh stabs huh? Nice. show's how much you expect to die. You have been in our operational area once, and made one kill on us. And this was before the alliance was formed. Go float your ego over somewhere else, because tbh, no-one gives a damn, or believes a word you say.

Originally by: Ginger Magician LOL.Nice vid. Keep making excuses vogon. You screwed up and it has cost u very dear.Your corp is in tatters and significant numbers have left since this happened as well as the ongoing empire war against me. One point I would like to make is that I believe vogon only found out about my poses because a few days beforehand I actually had 4 pos in that system and was taking down one when one final module refused to unanchor and I had to ask for GM assistance. The GM took down the pos for me and there was only 3 left when vogon attacked. However as I know that most GMS have player accounts I cant help but wonder if this guy was a member of Vogon or otherwise informed people as to the location of my poses. This is obviously a cause for concern but to be honest the 2 small pos had paid for themselves during the time I had been running them and my losses were insignificant compared with the massive ones incurred by vogon and the enormous enjoyment of being there to watch the dreads go pop.
IIRC, Vogon posted a log in which your alt was begging for your POS's not to be destroyed. Equally, you posted that you could have single-handedly also taken out the SNIGG forces that turned up. And now, you're accusing the GMs of exploiting their position?
Edit: just read the other two pages. ROFLCOPTER. I think the only person heading for an exploit/forum ban/petition is Ginger.

Props to snigg, I was there that day, and for Ginger. VLINC has killed you and what do you know, a full set of stabs fell out. If you think you are l33t carryin 425's, t2 ammo and a cloak w/ stabs is hardley leet, just shows how scared you are of your own lack of ability.

Good detailed post by Mesasone. Nice to see a corp using the Dreads in force... Shame you were short on support ships, bad luck on that .
Personally if I could afford a Dread I would hope for atleast 10 BS class ships per Dread for protection againt smaller energy suckers, jammers etc.
Well done to Snigg for good tactics, although it wasn't made so clear that the POS towers were in your favour and the other guy had little support. Good hit nonetheless guys.
Ginger... no need for the flaming, you don't come accross too good in this post.
Let the good time role!

Production values!
Did George Lucas himself make this EPIC of cinematic history? :)
But really, jolly good show, my only snag was the lack of a long full size view during the middle part, I would have liked to see the battle in more detail.
And, oh yeah the balance between ship clasess in this game is pretty well thought out, its obvious that you will always need plenty of backup from all ship classes if u want to protect your nice new toy, incidentally, we've been taking down cruisers with frigates, the same applies here.
Proper game balance FTW!

Let him waste the isk Parm.
The amount of times ive been threatened "Im coming after you and il pop you blah blah" i used to think sweet, but it never happens.
None of em can ever be bothered once they have calmed down.
Ginger is an absolute attention seeking git but he likes it that way, cant be bothered with him no more, old news. Let him post his Ginger Threads with his alts Just dont mention him.
Best way to quell an attention seeker, ignore him.
BTW nice job on the dreads snigg. --------------------------------------------------------

Yes this guy did not answer the call to upload video of the battle. Too bad because if I would have had this video with the others I could have made a much better video. I worked with what I had. If you don't like it then eat P00.....

Impressive work SNIGG.
Also - my hat goes off to Vogon for how this has been handled. It's nice to see a minimal amount of smack for such a fight.
Hope you all had fun - looked like it was a blast. ----------------------

I'm a little surprised that formations of turret dreads aren't more effective. I'd have thought that between the moros making life hell for the little guys, the turret Dreads could park 40-80km from one another and make life hell for any BS that approaches one or tries to snipe.
A Dread can't defend itself very well, but I have little doubt that it can defend another against all but a fleet. Even then, that fleet would take heavy losses.
I think the point is made obvious that there is little point in achieving a single Dread, unless you are going to have support ships on hand and only wish to take on medium towers with it. Of course, once you've got a dread, it's much easier to replace.

Stabs are tatical equipment....a full set of lows on an armor tank may be a bit much but they are still viable tactical equipment and require more skill to actually get a kill with. I'm sorry to let the denizens of EVE know about this secret of modern warfare: gurrilla works.
Its been proven throughout history that a larger army will moan endlessly until well after the war is over about "honor" and "fair fights" but it never changes the fact that it is the most effective form of combat vs larger groups. So please don't complain because of that.
Lets examine his fitting that you claim he was using: 425s--weapons (everyone has them or they wouldn't be much of a fight) T2 ammo--good ammo (superior more power per hit, a mainstay of armed warfare) Cloak--tactical positioning (they used to say the same about camoflage...bright-colored unifroms FTW!) Stabilizers--mobility (we really should just line up and shoot at each other)
As far as his setup goes, it seems to be close to an appropriate setup for any person/corp relying on fast tactical strikes rather than warp in and shoot until everyone on one side of this line is dead. I'm sorry that he doesn't subscribe to the particular brand of war preferred by EVE players which seems to involve the majority of tactics that have been outdated since World War I. He may be the worst player in all of EVE but its not entirely due to his ship setup.
BTW: Ginger... as well as the people complaining about him... please stop the forums as a method of personal attack, it gets you nowhere. Forums should be places to debate ideas and share events, not attack or defend people.

Er... not sure how much of the thread you read, but you either do not read very far into it, or did not comprehend what happened. You are right that a Dread can unleash some serious damage from afar, however SNIGG had a covert ops pilot warp them in, directly ontop of our dreadnaughts. On top of that, the lock time on a dreadnaught is somewhere in the vincinity of 45 seconds for a battleship while in seige mode(and, as previously stated the dreads were left in seige mode for reasons already explained), as such a BS simply has to warp out and back in to break the lock and force the dread to go through another 45+ second locking time.
The lack of support ships was largely due to the fact that we never expected anyone, especially s******ly, to have aided Ginger in any fashion. It is obvious that we under-estiminated bloodlust three dreadnaughts will bring out :P
Anyhow, I think I'm arguing for the sake of arguing at this point. As such, I'll shut up ... for now.

aw ... why did snigg have to side with ginger nublet :S That makes baby panda's sad :(
Snig should have shot down ginger nublets POS's then killed the dreads, that would have been even more impressive.
Congrats on the dread kills tho.

Motion not seconded due to sheer uselesness of that course of action. Could we please move away from personal attacks and leave Ginger outta this unless you happen to be talking about his actions in this video?
Nice video BTW. It may help eliminate solo dreads (with the help of misc. battleship fleets all over EVE). Just please.. for [insert deity here]'s sake find someone else to edit the next one for you (not that I can say I have anything better to show).
The above post does not reflect the views of any corp or alliance I may be in. If you have a problem with me or my opinion feel free to take it up with me, not my corp/alliance. |

Well just a little update on these tumultuous events for those interested.
When VOGON decided to have their little adventure in Lermievre they had approx 100 members in their corp.It is now a little over a month later after the dreads loss and the continuing empire war being waged by octobersnow corp. I wont tell u how many members they have now but enter Vogon deconstruction fleet in the search function of your p&p.CEO is still rocky spaceman btw who dont play atm .It makes very interesting reading. This is what happends when u mess with the best.Whatever u have, however much isk, however many members u have,no matter what alliance u have,no matter how many GM's are helping u,YOU LOSE EVE.
