Fools. How can you call yourselves Caldari, when you speak before you think? The illiterate janitors aboard my Badger II have more common sense than you pod pilots, with your years of university education.
The Gallenteans pose no threat to our prosperity at this time. Concord aside, Caldari Prime is guarded by the Federation Navy, which in turn is backed by the funding of hundreds, if not, thousands of Federation planets. Not only this, but, as someone mentioned, the Gallentean homeworld lies in the same system as our own.
Surely, the emotional benefit of assaulting the Gallenteans does not outweigh the losses required to conquer our homeworld in the face of such obstacles.
The same cannot be said of the Guristas pirates. They do not have the same level of funding as the Federation Navy. They do not have a homeworld to speak of to which they would be as attached as the Gallenteans to theirs. They ARE a threat to our prosperity.
The Guristas wreak havoc to our economy and the general well being of our citizens. Despite the constant efforts of pod pilot bounty hunters and private military corporations, the Guristas are still a prominent force of piracy in the Venal region and our very own home regions of Lonetrek, The Citadel, and The Forge. It goes without saying that only an all out assault by the state's navy would wipe them out.
Should an empire scale war be waged against anyone by our state, it should be against the Guristas, and not the Federation.
As an emboldened Admiral once said: "The true course in conducting military operations is to make no movement until the preparations are as complete as circumstances will permit and never fight a battle without some definite object worth the probable loss; such a course will ever insure the greatest economy of life, time and treasure, as well as the most decisive results."
The Caldari homeworld is like the sunk costs on my expense sheets. Gone, never to be seen again. Leave the dreaming to the Gallente and their society of entertainment. We have real money to make, and real work to do in our own backyard.

yes this is a problem these guristas but they are no more than common crooks the gallente federation has the right to "exsist" but what is ours should be ours though fight or not it is our home we should have not them the simple fact that they have it makes a mockery of there whole philospy of freedom

Fellow Caldarians.
Trust me when I say that there's more pressing matters than our old conflict with the Gallenteans...
A few years back, a signal was discoverd emmitting from the collapsed wormhole in the EVE gate system. A griffin-class Caldari Navy frigate detected this signal and started to investigate it. It lead to the Geminate region. A couple of months later a Scorpion-class battleship, the Hypherion, was sent to the Geminate region to investigate the signal, and to whom it was beeing sent. It never returned.
The Caldari Navy came to the conclusion, that the ships destruction / disappering was due to pilot error, even though the pilot, who escaped the destruction in his pod stated otherwise.
The possibility that the pilot was telling the truth was never even investigated.
FACT: The Hypherians has for quite some time been waching the events happening close to the Caldari borders, and has drawn the conclusion that the Caldari Navy unfortunatelly is not exploring all possible scenarios in the event of a conflict.
FACT: The Hypherians has lost several ships, of diffrent types and classes to an unknown enemy, more powerful, and more advanced than the Gallenteans, the Minmatar or the Amarr...
FACT: Our recon patrols, and our intelligence division has offerd to share what we have learned with the Caldari Navy AND the Amarr navy. None of them has shown any intrest what so ever.
Now we turn to the general population occupying the Caldari / Amarr space. We are willing to take in, train and equip anyone. ANYONE who can pilot ANY kind of ship. We are in need. Desperate need of any pilots willing to fight for the truth.
Taking back Caldari Prime, and settling the score with the Gallenteans is a pressing matter. To ensure the survival of the EVE colonies is an even more pressing matter.

We would have to burn the whole planet to the core to get the Gallente stink off that once great world. It would be much easier to just move into the Gallente capital anyways.
Only through the unavoidable universal Military Industrial Complex and the restoration of order and common decency that most intelligent lifeforms should posess, can our fractured species avoid extinction in this tiny corner of the universe.

I hear what you are saying.
Whether the Caldari follow my lead or not, I intend to prepare and move forward. My first step was to buy 400,000 Widowmaker Heavy Missiles. Then I bought the launchers to use them. I then went to school to learn how to ANCHOR my supplies in space so I will not be waylaid going to get ammo and I can also stash any items I gain. My next step is to place these "weapon depots" and prepare replacement ships fully loaded. My intent would then be to insure them as I need them if for some reason I awaken in a cloned body.
If you plan on taking part in this event, make your preparations individually to ensure that they are secure from the eyes of the enemy. The worst thing that could happen is you will have created stashes for yourself in the future. If a superior Caldari force does not materialize, then this will unfortunately start as a Gorilla War. Plan for such.
Anyone who wishes to join me may apply at the School in Jita. I will process your application up to the point where you accept entrance into my corp. That way you can stay in your current corp until things materialize. If you change your mind, you can also opt out and never have on your record that you applied by just canceling - it is that easy. If you wish to have a hunting party and go after a particular target, Eve-Mail me and we can get your Party loaded in the queue. To maximize your hunting pleasure, I think Declaring War on Friday night would be best.
So far - no Gallente have surrendered in earnest.
(Due to the nature of things, I will be forced to fight this war in the most economical way for the easiest gain. I will not be fighting in a respectable Battleship. Some of my fighting may even occur in an industrial or a Bantam.)
Remember - this is not a clean Corp War. This is Caldari versus Gallente.

You make mention a guristas and how a rag tag group of pirates seems to continue its growing threat.
how do they do it?? Who are the real backers of them??

Both econimically and spiritually.Once they have succeeded in that they will move to take us over completly without much effort or resistence from us..Wake up and smell your bloodlines There are many threats many faces unknown much space unexplored..Much time for thought and reflection there is but without the complete backing there is nothing..Fool be The Caldari less prepared for war let it not be you..War is coming wether you want it or not forces push us that way direct us this way. that we have yet to see our true enemies is not known as of yet but will be soon I Believe. _______________________________________________

That's quite the conspiracy theory, if I've ever seen one myself...
As far as the Guristas being rag-tag... If so, then why do they lay claim to over 20 star systems just north of our territory? That's at least 4 times more territory than the Mordus Legion Command holds.

the guristas may have some money to play around with but non of the major factions has the economic strength of the caldari state
and talks of the gallente maving in secret, I doubt they have the economy to maintain their navy since they certainly cant house the minmatar refugees. the minmatar slaves in the ammar empire are being treated better than the minmatar refugees moving to the federation

Edited by: Vendrin on 26/03/2006 02:26:33 It is easy for pod pilots to clamour for the retaking of Caldari Prime. When we fly what do we risk? Our ships only, and yet for the retaking of Caldari Prime we would need the whole Caldari Navy and Army. Why risk the lives of our brothers and sisters, fathers and mothers, sons and daughters for a dead planet? Caldari Prime was once our home, it is not any more. _____________________________________

Do not forget, as the Caldari State makes it's push to Caldari Prime it will have to break through the defenes of several other systems en route... leaving them in a weakened state. It would make an excellent opportunity for the State to expand it's borders.

Caldari Prime has been held by the gallente since their failed attempt to enslave the Caldari people. the gallente have likely wiped virtually all traces of the caldari from that world. if I fight for the state it will be against the guristas as that has economic benefits
the gallente no longer have an economy or navy to fight a prolonged war, my vote is to leave the gallente alone to look down on all the matari secretly calling them weak and using their cause to further Gallente poilitical ideals
and the matari should be warned the gallente started the 100 year with the Caldari war because they hated the idea of a free Caldari people, how long till they demand the minmatar unconditionally give up their freedom and join the federation

I disagree and intend on doing something with or without all the brave Caldari by my side. Let me lead by example if you all are so timid.
Please - if you wish to RP or disaude others with RP, go get a room and write your silly stories elsewhere. I hear the Gallente need more writers. It really irks me when someone wants you to go somewhere else and RP with them when you are trying to conduct an Event.

The time is not yet right. Let us fool them into a false sense of security. Like what happened with the joivians let our enemy have to fight another war to take their eyes of us. Then we assualt their homeworld drawing away forces from Caldari Prime Once that is accomplished we begin invasion. By the time the enemy realises what is hapening our planet will once again be ours and they will have to relocate theirs retched dogs like we once were forced to but the time is not now. It will take time and lots of cevert political economic and military planning to achieve this. Gorilla warfare wont achieve a thing apart from make them rage for a war when we are not fully prepared

Caldari Prime must be controlled by the Caldari people. Are all diplomatic channels exhausted though? With Amarrian/Gallentean relations becoming more and more strained, the State has the political capital to demand our capital planet back. The Gallentean Federation must cave in to our demands or be faced with certain defeat at the combined might of both Caldari and Amarrian forces.

Who is role-playing? Based on the setup of the game, it is only logical that retaking Caldari Prime should become increasingly important to the Caldari faction. It follows that if Caldari Prime does not peacefully return to the Caldari State soon, the general consensus of the citizens of the faction would demand its return through more... violent means. I would hope this would be one of the focuses of the next release. Consider this a petition signing campaign to show the devs that the players would be in favor of a coordinated event by the Caldari State to take back Caldari Prime.
