Edited by: Katrina Kirellii on 07/03/2006 14:10:01 Perhaps there is a more diplomatic solution that could be sought. My only concern is that corp leaders we will end up giving them Jita, Sobaseki, and perhaps more as a concession if things go wrong.
Given that the Corps represent us on a panel, perhaps we can appeal to the Gallente in some other form they might accept. In this I mean some sort of Challenge such as the Glamour Racing League or a popular Vote. If this is insufficient, then I too agree that something more direct needs to be done. This occupation force must be removed. The first option should be in a more businesslike form. The last should be open war.
If it comes to war, then I intend to be involved enough to at least profit from it. That is why I agreed to sell Durandal Strauss Company stock. ( www.geocities.com/kirellii/dsc.jpg ) I was approached with the idea of a publicly held Caldari company dedicated to the Caldari ideals of business and life. So - in that respect I am already participating. The Caldari way of life must be foremost in our minds. Caldari Prime to me represents the ideal that Caldari come first!
If clandestine or open hostilities break out, put me down for Recon duty. I hope to have a Falcon by the time something occurs and blaze the "Pathway of our Ascendancy".

If Caldari Prime is to be wrestled from the Gallente Federation, we must think of several key factors that not only forced our hand in the War but may also cause economic reprocussions in our long run:
1 - Our Technology As many know, our technology was reactive in the Battle For Caldari Prime versus that of the proative Gallente. They built Planet Bombers, we built Planetary Defence Guns; they built bombers, we built fighters; so on and so forth. 2 - Funding Without the new-age weapons and ships to back our cause, how can we even dream to win? Unless we can raise a couple hundred billion ISK for funding an Armada, we will loose by default. 3 - Moral We lost Caldari Prime before. We know this for fact and have accepted it in the passing decades. But how can we assure both ourselves and our "opponent" that we have the strength to stand against them both militarily and diplomaticly that Caldari Prime should be ours. 4 - The War Itself Should we "attack" the Gallente Federation in a "liberty war" for our planet, it is Fact they will fight back. How many lives, both civilian and military, are willing (or chosen by Fate) to give themselves to Death in the name of territorial and corperate rights? We know of the atrocity they performed upon Caldari Prime, bombing billions of lives into Obilivion. What garuntee can we give to the civilian population that that sort of event will not occure again? And even IF they do not bomb, what can we do to prevent them from takeing another planet IF we lose to them again? 5 - Profit As we Caldari are corperation-leading people, we must think of the economical standpoint of this sort of war. "How can we profit?" is the big question. We spend all of the ISK we can outfitting an Armada with the latest weapons, ammunition, and armor for a single star-system on our borders. Does Caldari Prime (after the Gallente re-population) have anything of use for our endevors? Factories, encampments, stardocks; what can we use from there to help us? 6 - Repercussion What of those lost in the "War"? What about those who didn't fight, but we struck anyways in our fight? What about the Gallente AND Caldari citizens who cannot use capsule technology and are attacked, regardless of our fleet or defences? What if the Gallente strike an industrialist planet and wipe several percentage of our overall production capability from our hands? With the loss of workers and production plants, we would have an economic crisis upon all the corperations, both big and small, that could indeed affect all the Soveirgnties.
The Defence rests its case.
In the end, ask yourself this: "How did I profit from that action?" |

If there are any Patriot-based Caldari Corporations looking for newbie/lowbie minions, I may be interested in joining. I havnt been able to find any.
The only way Caldari Prime can be retaken is to beat the Gallente into submission...because both Planets are in the same system. There does not seem to be any possibility for a negotiated truce for this reason. They will never accept our presence so close to their Capital.

it sadens me that some of our fellow caldari have given up the thought of once again walking our homeland this this federation with its freedom and "democracy" this federation is a lie there vaunted senate cares only for there wellbeing its people are duped by propaganda look even now as they turn away there "allies" the matri as they seek refuge within the borders of the federation it is good too see many of my caldari brothers and sisters still feel the call for the rest of you i can only say have you forgotten? have you forgotten the screams of our people as the peace loving federation rain death upon our people the planet IS RIGHTFULLY OURS those gallente people who see this as anything more than an attempt to regan that which was rightfully taken from us are simply pawns of the federation propaganda mechine as for the amarr this is not about them but you gallentes people forced us to allie our self with them do i belive in what they do ....no i do not but who else is there for us to turn to ? who else will help us should your federation and its lapdogs attack us? as for the mimmatar people can you not see? that the federation isnt really your allie they simply use you too there own ends to make themselfs seam like the heros? tell me now is an act good? if the only reason you commit it is to look good? lets send aid to the mimmatar when it is comvient for us but should they interfere with our lifes let us turn them away where is the goodness in this? atleast you know where you stand with serpentis

I belive one of the big major issues with this conflict is actually that there is no real gallente force to fight. All the gallente federations failed, few corps in gallente space show any tendency to want to fight anyone, and the caldari arent organized enough. Even so, their views are different. TKI is a perfect example. I amire what they have done, and what they are doing. But their general agenda does not fit my own.
Alot of pilots want to rp the caldari-Gallente conflict. But without a real issue either triggered by aurora or something massively playerorganized this issue will continiue to pop up and die like it has the last 2 years.
I for one will continue Serks hunt for all and any gallente corporations in federation or State space and destroy them. Killing gallenteans... make me happy |

considering the time since the gallente anounced the elections its looking to me that more militaristic elements in the senate are going to take over and launch the 'reintegration' of the caldari people into the federation
also the ammar empire needs a leader who will make real change and mabye show a guesture of peace to the minmatar by actively reducing the number of slaves a person can keep

I think we all need to read and/or pay attention to history more.
The Prophecy of Macaper
In short it says:
A century ago a Gallentean astrologer named Damella Macaper prophesized the end of the world in a book called æThe Seven Events of the ApocalypseÆ.
The book describes seven calamities that will befall the world...
The first event in MacaperÆs prophecy she described as ôthe cosmetic kiss of the cometsö and this is exactly what happened in a remote Caldari system almost a year ago, when two large comets collided head on.
The second event occurred a few months later when the planet Fricoure in the Gallente Federation was literally flooded with rains that lasted for weeks.
The third calamity is described by Macaper as being a ôroaring stone that silences the world.ö A week ago a huge asteroid entered the atmosphere of the Amarrian planet Rumida at a low angle. MacaperÆs prophecy came true in a very striking manner; dozens of thousands were left deaf by the meteor, as the sound waves streaming around it had exploded the eardrums of people many kilometers away from the meteor.
Four more events are to take place according to the prophecy...
The fourth event is described by Macaper as ôthe appetite of nothing expands over the worldö.
The fifth is described as ôthe little brother makes the final sorrowful steps home; he is not welcomeö.
The sixth is described as ôwhat was many now becomes one when one becomes fourö.
This all culminates in the seventh: ôreturn of the dark light from the heart of the motherö, as Macaper described it.
I think this could mean many things. Perchance it means a time of prosperity will arrive, we will finally understand the Eve Gate, we will unify in the truth of Eve, and the Eve gate will be restored.
Unification can be an unpleasant business. The Caldari excel at business and will get it done.

I am quite confused why anyone would be flag waving and ground kissing when there are perfectly efficient techology solutions representing the "Truth of Firepower" available to you. Look to your Caldari blood and don't turn away from that blessing. Focus on the business side of this equation and stop this emotional stuff distracting you from the success that awaits you in this endeavor. It is causing your inefficiency.
As we learned in academy: Horrors and wrongs will always be committed. Today is no different from any other day in history except for one thing. Now is OUR TIME to profit.
As even the blind see today: The other Races are without leadership and focus. They bicker about the content of news flimsies and who in entertainment dressed like such and such instead of thinking of material distribution and production. They weld together hunks of junk and fly about in disdain of safety, threatening the very cargo they haul. They consort with rituals and self mutilation of leadership when they should be paying attention to quarterly finance reports. In short, they are sliding backward and their people are homeless in a diaspora of inefficiency threatening to affect even our bottom line.
With the release of the Achura and their foreward thinking methodologies now being implemented, I am sure you can see the prospective results of our current activities.
Blood calls to blood - heed your destiny and tempt not the Fates!

Stop funding it?
CONCORD isn't big brother. Without the funding from the 4 empires it'll simply fall apart.
Besides, people saying the ruined Gallente economy wouldn't profit us is wrong. A ruined economy gets to be rebuilt from the ground up, using Caldari technology, resources, and leadership. Replacing the petty smut-filled Gallente Federation of Racism would be the Caldari's smooth, effective economic machine, and the simple fact is the Caldari people are far more equal with one another than the Federation.
Afterall, it's not the 'Federation', it's the 'Gallente Federation', which clearly states they feel superior to their other citizens. I don't recall ever hearing someone say they live in the Deteis State, do you?

I stand proud as caldari..Our song shall be known and feared to those who stand against us.If we stand together there is nothing that can not be done we've beaten them back before with less tech than we have now.I say to hell with the gallente if they refuse us our world then by force they shall fall.It shows here we want what is rightfully ours and if words can't get our world then our answer to that is quick and small and hurts when it speaks.
To stand against us is to know our wrath to know our wrath is to know our pain To stand with us is to know our honor to know our honor is to know our glory Glory to the Caldari and our wrath for those who get in our way to glory.

Point well taken.
I have created a corp to take this war to the Gallente. It may take me some time to prepare as I have some house cleaning to get the Isk I need.
We don't need permission to start this war - let the Gallente beg for permission to stop it instead!
I am trying to figure out the rules of engagement:
You might be a Gallente if you mine with Drones. If you fly fru fru ships and constantly decorate - you might be a Gallente. If you find yourself unoffended by the term "Gallente Federation" - you might be a Gallente. If your "companion" is a drone - you might be a Gallente. If your clothes cost more than your ship - I am thinking - you might be a Gallente.
One thing is certain - the permission to Hunt in Secure Space is gonna be costly - so we need to recoup this cost somehow. I am thinking I will go broke if I do this on my own.
Also - I have seen Ravens and other good ships in space over there - if a company is only a Gallente sympathizer - we might need to not shoot some of the members unless they fire upon us.
I am thinking, I declare war on the Gallente Company, anyone who wants to go hunting can join up temporarily and go hunt until they tire - then exit my company to make room for others to enjoy this. If you have a specific Gallente Company that needs to be added - you give me the Isk and I put them on the list until your "permit" expires.
For those of you who want to help with this War - my company name is "Civire Consorts of Eve". Our symbol is the Omega. Our Headquarters I am gonna place in New Caldari Prime if I can find a vacancy.
Prepare yourselves.
Remember "Caldari Prime means Caldari First!"

We Caldari are not only able of mind but also of body. We have forgotten our own capabilities after decades of economic pursuit. This, however will stand us in good stead should we take up arms againsed the Gallente in earnest. Substantial financial backing and superior technology, together with the willing and driven Caldari freedom fighters will surely be the key to a comprehensive victory. The time for action may be upon us. Some may say that war is not a necessity, but our home world is under the thumb of our enemies and its future depends on the Caldari People. Now is the time to act lest our past be erased from history and our heritage forgotten.
