today at 0200 GMT the alpha test server for eve-online china opened, but in less than one minute, there are more than 50k player tried to get login, actually only 3000 available test acount are out there. then the server downed in 5 minutes.....

translation : CCP confirmed that there are more than 50k tried to login in less than a minute, way more larger than TQ server. lead to a server crash down. CCP staffs are now tring hard to get it back online .
but this not show up on official site www.eve-online.com.cn

CCP look to your competitors for dealing with the chinese if you think you have enough server support to reasonably handle 3000 players your going to need 4 times that because when one of them comes to the party they bring their whole village,its sad to say and some what racist but after gaming for all these years this is truthfully the main reason why other mmos have multiple servers to play on,its a fact of life like gas prices and it sucks for the dev teams.

Anyway, the most compelling argument YET for the new cluster is that if China came unto Tranq, English would stop being the Lingua Franca, in favour of Mandarin.
I don't feel like learning Chinese. They can have Serenity, imho.
