When I was talking to my CEO about ships to setup during a wardec he handed me a bellicose that he had found unused in one of hte corp hangers and told me to see if i could set it up for something useful. I spent 4 hours working on various setups and then compared it to my Stabber or Rupture.
I came to a conclusion.
I want those 4 hours of my life back.

To be fair the Exequoror's cargo bonus makes it a great light hauler. Its much faster than an industrial and can easily carry up to 1000m3 of loot/ammo.

Bellies work nicely as mixed-ordinence delivery platforms... drones, guns, and missiles, it's got it all. Also seen more than a few others in space, that I didn't own.
Belli was just fine, before they removed its range bonus and made it a TP platform. Now it sucks. It really, really does.

look, EVERY ship in eve has great potential. I am a frig pilot, and i never flew a slasher untill 3 months into the game! after i flew the slasher, i KNEW i had a cheep ass tech 2 shuttle!
ever been part of a gang, and you see someone in local that you really want to gank, well just buy a griffin and throw some ECMs on it!
condor is a MWD ***** that when fitted with rockets, gets none of the other races problems with tracking. all the races fast frigs have 2 turret points & 1 missile, except the condor which is reversed.
point is, every ship is situational. im not going to take on a double 0.0 BS spawn in a slasher, so i pick up a rifter (I can tank the BSs, takes a loooong time to kill). I dont fly a MWD slasher, cos i miss the target allot, so i chose condor.
NO ship sucks, EVERY ship has great potential given the right situation.
(oh, and the bellicose does suck usually, but i did make a great AFK mission runner with it  ) (passive tank and just launch drones after getting aggro on everything, only for lvl 2s tho)

True story:
I flew a slasher into enemy 0.0 territory. I had a Rifter, a cruiser, and a few other people laugh at me. A thorax literally locked me, said "LOL a slasher!" and left.
The rifter took out my armor before it got bored and left me to rot.
Then I killed a Vigil, and docked in safe space 2 hours later :) On flames :)

On the Bellicose:
That ship is GOD. GOD I tell you. I love them. If anyone has a Bellicose they don't want, just escrow it to me for free.
Missles, drones, and speed. Yea, it can fit guns, but I only really mount close range guns now incase someone gets to close.
And I see typhoons all the time. Bellicose has to be the rarest cruiser I see in game though.

You haven't lived until you've flown a burst around 0.0 screaming "BURST" at every hostile that passes by. It unnerves them a bit.

Not too shabby in my opinion. It might even fare better with autocannons for all I know. I don't fly Matari ships afterall.
Like someone said... every ship has a niche. And yes, you CAN use EW ships on agent missions. It just takes alot of skill, both from your character and from yourself.
Those that neglect a certain ship by saying it's not worth anything often don't have the proper skills to pilot it to maximum potential, or they're simply not original thinkers.
Often, a "lower caliber" ship in a given class requires more skills to fly optimally than the most expensive in class.
You don't see too many people flying around a Scorpion with 4 425mm II's and 2 Cruise II's, engaging targets at 100 km with all weapons. You do see alot of Ravens engaging at that range with Cruise II's, however. That's due in part because of the massive skill investment required to fly a Scorpion the way it was meant to be flown, in comparison to the Raven.

I bet you ment ships people actualy fly (yet), well then perhaps logistics ships. Very underestimated imo, would be a great ship for missions and complex's. Probally not as much for pvp cause he'd get called primary and be toast.

I agree, I'm just saying that without at least 1 more missile slot removing the gun bonus nerfed a ship that didn't deserve it.

There are two ways to approch this question. First, what ships are underused because the ships are worthless, and second ships that are underused because people don't how to use them.
Of the first type, I have never seen the Navitas in space, ever. Not in Castor, not in Exodous, and not in Red Moon Rising.
Of the Second type, The Griffon and Malus seem to be good ships, but I rarely see Griffons and I have never seen a Malus. Herons are bad for combat, but they might work as a cheep man's probe launching platform.

I've seen plenty of everything by now. I see Navitas in belts near gallente newbie systems, ditto for the tormentor in Amarr. I generally pay attention to what people around me are flyign ebcause I like to know what is considered popular, where and why.
Rarest ship awards so far go to Breacher (I haven't seen a single one in some months now), Burst and Augoror.

Of course you give a bellicose a 60KM web range and the ability to warp while cloaked you got one nice ship. Just wish Minmatar had a better bonus than target painting. All other EWAR stops ppl from hitting you, Minnies get something that MAY make you hit harder (Maybe, from my exp the target painters make most of your shots hit weaker and your missles hit slightly harder. But only on good days)
One thing, I've seen that the majority of Caldari cruisers aren't mentioned in the most useless thread. Osprey is a good solo miner, or cheap scout. Caracal is the best t1 ship at killing ceptors and frigs, and the moa makes a descent sniper and mission runner.

Griffin is probably one of the best frigates out there.
If you dare to hop into one with your expansive clone, and invest 5 million on tech2 Stuff, you suddenly have the best frig ingame

breacher is a beast, i use it very often.
3 * arbalest standards
cold gas arcjet thrusters, civilian SB (dont diss it, saved my life many a time)
2 named BCU
ship + modules costs 600k, i take it in 0.3 and own cruisers using speed, the civilian sheild booster is to repair the odd hit that hits me. in 3 belts i make the isk back.
as my previous post stated, NO ship is crap.
in fact, due to the rubbish ammount of posts on RMR minmatar frigs, tonight ill make quite a few, and cover every frig!

Today I slapped some Piranha Furies onto mine. If you can fit a reasonable setup that will allow you to make good use of 2 Standard launcher IIs (use an arbalest for the 1st slot loaded with EM missiles) and 1 BCU, it's a horrible, horrible ship if you're the guy getting shot :-)

It's so true. I once briefly considered getting one to fit as a heavy tackler for gang op's, remembering the 4 mid slots. I then considered the laughter and mocking I'd hear on ts and ditched the idea
