Simply - Why?
Their clearly stated goal is to control all space in EVE. That means your space too. Is that what you want?
I simply cant fathom why on earth would anyone NAP them, let alone support them... Is it a lack of independent thought or are you just happy to keep your head in the sand and wait for them to come knocking??
Quote: Arielle deVoir > How far will this empire stretch? SirMolle: There will be no boundaries. We will control everything. Arielle devoir: All low security regions? SirMolle: We are creating an EMPIRE. Low security space is like stealing candy from babies. Arielle devoir: So your goal and BoB's goal is to control the entire universe? Every system, every corner and all in the middle? SirMolle : Watch us go.

They will offer to bring out there titan mining barges and send mining teams out to all alliances as long as they can have access to there space.

This is not about propaganda, we see enough of that on these forums as it is. This thread has nothing to do with my goals or my alliances goals. Nor is it about whether BoB have the manpower to follow through on Molle's statements...
It is simply asking why people would want to help BoB given their ultimate goal. --

So you are saying that this post has nothing to do with propaganda when the post it self says "Why are u allied with BoB when they will stab u in the back according to this post i read"
If u where trying for subtle propaganda that u can claim not to be just that then u need to try a wee bit harder.

As stated, BoB lacks the manpower to control all of Eve.
But that is not what BoB's "real" objective is.
BoB "seeks" a challenge. Specificly, "Challenging PvP, on both Grand and small scale"
War and Conquest is a means to an end.

"It is simply asking why people would want to help BoB given their ultimate goal."
From the interview you quote it reads clear the "ultimate goal" is control of the EVE-verse.
This does not equal "exclusive ownership with no one else allowed onto what we control".
So am not exactly sure why you think people should be all up in arms and "omg" about it...

Nowhere did I say that BoB would need to claim the space to achieve this goal. There are many ways to control space, such as having alliances NAP you out of fear, conquering space and installing alliances who answer to their "giver of life" etc.
In this way you do not need a lot of manpower to control vast areas of space. Its like the two terrorists with a gun each holding sixty people hostage - no one person will stand up to themselves for fear that they will be the one who gets shot at. --

I think most people deal with BoB not because they're scared of them, but because they are a stable alliance, and a good mob to deal with. They're generally straight up in there dealings with you, and go soft on alot of the underhanded sneaky **** you get from other entities.
If they plan on doing unspeakable things to you, they let you know :)

Erm, it took you five months to come up with this? I think you need a few more hamsters in your propaganda machine.
Anyway, I'm glad we have higher ambitions and goals than seeing how many wcs/cloaks we can fit on our ships, or how many of our POS we can watch blow up without trying to defend them. I think those are VC's main goals atm, but if I've missed something, feel free to share with the rest of us.

I realise the news I quoted is 6 months old, but the point in question stands now as it did 6 months ago. I would suggest it is even more of a pertinent question now than it was when the news article was released - as Alliances have actually had time to react to it, yet done nothing. --

Some people would rather have more allies than enemies, why, I dont know.
In other news, how many NAP's does ASCN have? Between the NAPs and nearly obese membership numbers, you have to think that 95% of EVE doesnt shoot at ASCN. ---------------------------------------- Friends Forever |

Precisely; therefore in answer to your question i'd guess some people may prefer to keep BoB at positive standings simply because they perceive it as 'stable' controller, as opposed to someone who might out of a blue go OrcA on you and your political relations o.O;

It was mentioned previously that BoB currently own over 50% of T2 bpos in existance (apologies if I missquote, it was a BoB member who posted it).. They may be able to control the whole of EVE at this rate without ever having to undock in combat ships :P
Control of Industry is as powerfull, as control of territory.
