Yup. Convince every Caldari HAC pilot not to pay them or wait for CCP to allow cashing in of loyalty points against BPCs. Good luck.

if u want to go crazy, just check the base price on the database for a Cerberus Wanna laugh? Check this: base price ISK 17.950.950,00
They come on the market with 90/110m price.
Quite insame but affordable.
Now it's hard to find 'em at less than 230m. The Nighthawk command ship cost less than a Cerberus atm...

not quite right, i see them sell for 200-250mill now.
ridicilous!
T2 market regulation is needed by NPC sales, base price +100% from NPC sellers. still room for greedy punks to make a profit yet impossible to gouge the market as is now.

A cerberus costs more like 35m-45m to build, as base prices don't include proper values for T2 minerals.
Cerberuses are expensive because of a demand spike--stop buying and the price will fall.

heh.
Sold to the idiot who payed 240 million for one yesterday
Then again, i wouldn't stoop as low to buy the other 4 that were available in the region and put them all up for say 250-60.....
Insta profit, im sure somebody as stupid would have bought them ______ Long ago one gorgeous night, we let the stars grow free. We let Zhuge do that once, he came back carrying a traffic cone, a forsale sign and three empty bottles of dutch lager. He also lost his Zimmer Frame... - Imaran

Its not so hard....
Ive been Hac "capeabale" for 4 months at least. Had the HAC book. Looked at the prices, watched and waited.
Sold my Hac book.
I Bought other toys, and my game playing experience has not dimished in the least. Contrary to popular belief, they are not a "must have" class of ship and im glad to say you will never see me puttering about in a hac.
IMHO they are newbe bait, a precieved I-win button (which they are not, ive killed plenty). Are they good, yes. Are they worth the currnet price, no.
Its just that simple.

What she said. Whether we like it or not, it is a free market. We are free to by them, or not to buy them. People pay 240 Mill for Cerberus and people pay 140 Mill for Ishtars, and people pay and pay and pay. Fact is, as soon as they stop paying those prices, the overall gouging will start to flounder, till then it is a free for all.
By the way, as far as I know, CCP is intoroducing more HACs BPOs into the game (soon). So, hopefully things will improve.
On average it costs about 40-45 Mill to build a HAC these days, if they ever come down to 100 Mill per HAC it would be a miracle of Biblical proporations.

Sorry for my bad english, i wanna say that since their arrival on EVE (exodus? don't remember) till a couple of months ago, u can find a Cerberus at 90/110m. Theese crazy prices u see now on market or escrow comes only in the last weeks.

HACs are so *not* worth their current price tag. They go down easily, they don't do that much damage compared to the Tier 1 BS you can get, insure and kit for half as much and are generally a bad idea in any kind of group based PvP.
Oh and to answer your question Zealots are pushing 250 mill as they can now gank and tank.

HACs are sexy but for the current price they are going for I rather buy a couple of BS that can do the job just as good, if not better (and fully insurable as well)
Plan for galaxy domination: Step 1. Steal lots of underpants Step 2. ... Step 3. Get declared as Eve Emperor |

I was purely suggesting that a Tier 1 BS seems more fun to me
edit - I get Deimos for 85 mil and I stil prefer to fly my Domi/Scorp/Geddon/Phoon
Only reason i mentioned Deimos is thats the only HAC I can buy at a more realistic price.

The Eagle is the cheapest HAC on the market, you need to check your head before posting another whine.

ppl are paying so 240m must be easily affordable. Lets try pushing and reselling at 300m at that price surley some factional cruisers and battleships start to look cheap

It's the same with pretty much everything in this game its player driven.
Love to have the BPO and make any of them but alas no.
The problem you will find is the middle men it always has been always will be (other than perhaps waiting months for NAGA etc who care/make note of who they sell to). The reason is simple someone builds something and sells it some people see that it's too low in their estimate and buy the lot and dump them back on the market for say 200%+ profit.
The makers of said items see this and the only thing they can do is to try and sell a little less than the "inflated" market price. You see it everywhere in all popular items.
Guilty of it myself many *many* months back as I seemed to be getting a good amount of mem +3 implants from missions (when +4's were only held by a select few) and kept dashing round 4 regions and buying them up at 14-16 and dumping them on the market. Eventually the market was still supporting them at 30+ million at which point I stopped since the margin was low and the risk became greater.
So either don't buy them, try and get friendly with someone that makes them, wait for reverse engineering, wait till something else becomes the hot item (or more likely a nerf bat swing in the wrong direction).
Personally still haven't bothered with HAC's and am quite glad I haven't even trained the skill yet. Agree with a previous poster having a hoot with Tier 1 BS's way more fun and with insurance actually making sense who gives a monkey :)

Whats "sick and wrong" (your words) about using ships in the game for pve activity.
Just about everybody does it... and suprisingly the prices of the 'whatever' ship thats currently flavour of the month (in this case the cerb) rockets...
You could also apply that to the price of bpc's... mods ect......
Domi bpc's are currently high... and i saw first hand that heavy arbs seemed to have gained in value......
You know.... lets be honest here.. no matter how vocal the 'minority' is on the forums about a style of play being 'sick and wrong'
fact is, it dominates eve.. allways will... most are here for the gaming world and they do what they do to get along in it.. ( missions) mining, trade ect....
Calling people out for simpley using a hac or whatever (not in pvp)
Deaf ears, aside the peers....... ______ Long ago one gorgeous night, we let the stars grow free. We let Zhuge do that once, he came back carrying a traffic cone, a forsale sign and three empty bottles of dutch lager. He also lost his Zimmer Frame... - Imaran
