One of the things what killed IRON was lack of communication. Every move IRON made had to be guessed by the members. And stuff like this happend much to often. It was always a suprise in IRON...you never knew what was in that box of chocolats. Leadership went there own way and did what they think was right. Maybe they made some good calls, but if you tell people about it and show them some trust, they will have a lot better time understanding you. The corps in IRON where very good...too bad the leadership didn't see it. You guys started talking about other corps trying to take over...even if it was true...is it that strange? If people think there is no leadership around...and still want to keep their homespace safe. Do something about EC..defend DeKlein. that's the point somebody else has to get up and moving. 1Trav1 started arranging fleets. Look at the numbers of pilots ready to fight...This could have been IRON doing something...instead of that it was 1 person trying to make a difference. He made a very good stand and he is the one that can be padded on the back. The guy that takes matters in his own hands, because IRON leadership didn't care anymore. There is a reason many corps left IRON. Don't blame those corps..look in the mirror first and then start pointing fingers to others. I had and still have a lot of fun with a lot of corps in DeKlein. I hope they will keep there home, but i guess that's not one of your problems anymore.
IRON..i really hope you will get more fun in playing EVE after this. And i really hope you will become what you hope to be. But really...start communicating.

Sorry, to get OT and talk about old stories, but I love that one: The difference is that [5] had already a new target, before they retracted from Cache. While many people saw the demotivated and defeated alliance and many declared them already dead or expected, they are now forced to go to empire, what most people didn't know is that the logistics was already fully running for [5]'s attack on PA and Co. in the north. Most people from [5] were already looking forward to it. Some of them were already talking about npc'ing in the north and doing weekend trips to Syndicate, and this while they still moved out of Cache. This was after they already got the empire war'decs, but before the wars got active. So if I look at the circumstances, I'd call it the most funny retreat/defeat I've ever heard of, dead alliance on the forums, surely lost a war, but not weakened at all and happily heading into the next campaign.
P.S.: Sorry, for sounding like a fan boy, but I can't help myself, for me the [5]-defeat was one of the best examples of misestimation, we've seen on the forums and extremely entertaining to watch the difference between forum talk and what I heard on TS during the freighter movements out of Cache, where I took part as a guest. That's why I really could enjoy this comedy as a more or less uninvolved player. RA had won, but the northeners didn't know what was coming.
So ok, it's similar to IRON in a way that they leave the area and think positive while doing it. So also good luck to IRON from my side. ___________ 'Only ships can be assembled, this is a Frigate.' |

this game is about fun afterall, so good luck
I have a few questions myself tough.
Did you give the corps you kicked enough time in advance to prepare logistics for sovereignity in Deklein and to form an alliance on their own? If not thats a bit weak .
Am i the only one who thinks its funny they partly plame pos wars, when they themselves made road trips to ASCN and F-E space to wage POS wars? The only times you had to defend your sovereignity and POS's was when your flanks were overexposed because of most of your forces doing 'yep' POS wars in other people spaces.

Much respect for the decision and the "not having fun anymore" part.
You realize, although not publicly admitting it, your own decisions in the recent past led you to this point.
Can I ask what about the G&Iron are one part?
GL and have fun in the future.

The corperations they kicked found out when they didn't have alliance channel anymore and lost the "Imperial Republic Of the North" in there info screen. After wondering what happend...the word came in...about 20 minutes later.
So yeah..that's what i was talking about: communication.
Say nothing...kick the corps and run for the hills.
Srry about the flame..but this is what i ****ed about. The captain is leaving the sinking ship first and leaving all passengers behind.

Other bob members are also saying GL and Well Done.
As for significant i translate that to space holding/claiming wether you are good or crap is irrelevant, besides i think the series of events speak for itself.
It's called personal opinion... you don't like it? tough, cry me a river.

the writing has been on the wall for a while. when I started to see more and more hardcore old skool pilots joining corps like veto. and fate. rather than corps in the IGA you could tell that IRON was heading for a fall.

Have not been privvy to the Director things but sounds like it must have got pretty messy over last few months.
In my time in INTG this is the 3rd (i think) recycle in alliance keeps things frosty and make friends stronger.
Fun 4TW, polictics 4TL

reading 4tw.. it wasnt exo or any of the other corps still in iron that chose when this was going to happen. i still think the transfer could have been much smoother with some better comms and ppl skills , but i think the result in the end will be pretty much the same.
gl to the corps that are staying in dek. --

I assume you hinting at the other corps trying to overthrow exo? It's not very clear explained for those not directly involved. But even if thats the case, as Exo has full power over everything they could have just said: oke we are leaving you got 3 days to get your **** sorted for sovereignity and your own alliance.
Meh just my opinion.
