Today BOB revokes all standings with all other corporations or alliances. Things have settled into a state of stagnation. These systems so far from the core should not be so peaceful. You know this reminds me of an old western, the one where everyones in the saloon sitting around looking bored and staring in their beers wishing something exciting would happen.
And then two freinds decides that they're going to liven things up, and soon all hell breaks loose.
People are being thrown down the bar and over the bar, that person knocks one guy out just to turn around and get floored himself, that guys getting thrown out the front window and another guy is following thru the front door, beer glasses are flying, people are swinging from chandeliers and chairs are being broken over backs.
And after awhile when people are sitting outside on their asses and the saloons all torn to hell, and they look at the people around them in varying states of consciousness, its then they realize EVERYONE is smiling and they all just had one hell of a fun time.
This is what I see uncle Molle as giving you, and for those of you in 0.0 alliances especialy the southern ones-I envy you. Its not being done outta malice or disrespect. And when its all over I'm sure your going to have a big shark toothy grin (though you may have a crooked nose) .
So I say accept the present (gift) for what it is, take one last swig of beer, grab a chair and start swinging!

I'd guess the "avoiding answer" as you call it comes from simply not being privy into details or not being authorized to reveal them. At this point i can only take what was posted at face value -- there is nothing said there about exceptions or factions more equal then others. So i don't see reason in presumptions there's going to be exceptions.
And if you indeed "couldn't care less" about who BoB is going fight, then you wouldn't bother to ask for answer in the first place, would you... ;s

I know you said all other corps, and I assume that means "All other corps not in BoB" but you never know wether this means "All other corps except BoB FiX, MC and Tribal soals, and not SWA unless it is a Deteis, and of course all Brutors in Amarr space"
If this has been asked above nvr mind.. just would like to know wheter you hvae 3-4 friendly corps (altcorps of your members or there is a whole list of exceptions that are obfuscated coz they'd make your announcement look less grand :P

lmao @ BoB what a joke. I mean come on people really , what has BoB done in the past if anything at all besides toot thier own horn. Attack a POS maybe? when was the last fleet engagement that BoB has been in ? I cant seem to remember any.
The only time I have seen BoB is on these forums , They cant even finish the trailer to the so called " Teaser Movie " that they posted umm what like 6 monhts ago yet alone be any threat to anyone.
BoB is good for one thing , talking!
I personaly think BoB suffers from a severe case of premature ejaculation, they seem to talk the part but cant perform.
Come back to the forums when you have something that really means anything to the Eve community, your standings mean nothing , maybe make another movie or something or at least finish the one you promised everyone you would.

On a BOB-unrelated note, Maza Nostras hostility towards ASCN has always been suprising to me. They were welcomed into Feyth in the dying days of Xetic, fought hard and well and instead of reaping the benefits of their blood, sweat and tears and joining ASCN, they went to the North accusing ASCN, whose corporations bled most of all for Xetic, of failing Xetic when in fact it was the other Xetic corps that killed it.
You guys seriously need head examinations and history lessons.

Why exactly? If history tells us anything its that powerful empires fall because they bite off more than they can chew. Remember the members of BoB are in fact only human beings playing a computer game like the rest of us. They're certainly an above average outfit tactically but they still explode aslong as you press F1-F8 and give any given combat situation a little thought.
The fact of the matter is if they pick on an alliance who then calls for backup and large numbers answer it, a tactical withdrawal is almost as likely for them as it would be for anyone else playing the game.
Big credit to BoB for taking these steps as it'll certainly liven things up a bit if only in our minds.

Reading this I wonder where the fun is for the rank and file of BoB in EVE.
There is no alliance or group in EVE that can match BoB in terms of the average age of its players (in game terms) and for that congratz to the leadership for recruiting those players and maintaining standards.
The simple fact is if you have one group of players who average 25m SP and pit them against a similar sized or even a bigger group averaging 10m SP, then the older players will win as they will have more experience, skills, isk, better ships etc.
All the time BoB recruits more of the older pilots in the game who want to jump on its bandwagon thus distancing itself further from the other groups. To what end?
To the extent that anyone can "win" eve then surely BoB has already done so. Sure it could take down another couple of alliances, but how will that improve its reputation or legend?
Where are the challenges for BoB? When we fought with G/IRON/RZR it was great fun because there was no certainty at all how things would go. It was genuinely nail biting stuff. What is there left in the game that can offer a similar thrill for BoB?
You might say, "lets go destroy [insert alliance here] with our spork". I expect most people would believe that you could do so and so whilst you might get a couple of decent fights out of it the result in most peoples minds would be a foregone conclusion - "BoB destroyed [ ] Alliance you know", "really, oh well thats a surprise. i wonder who they will destroy next. by the way have you seen the price of isogen in jita these days etc etc"
So, seriously, what is there that still gets the average player in BoB out of bed and logged in on the morning?

A not unexpected move given that the only real unified opponent to the BoB alliance of alliances in the form of IRON and G was neutralised very recently.
Now is the time to see if the power blocks that now effectivly oppose BOB can put aside their animosity and join together for the fight for survival that this will become. There will be a lot of conflict in Eve now and that can only make the game better, BoB I salute you for the courageous move you have made to make the game more interesting for all.

It won't happen. If FE got attacked tomorrow no-one would come to its aid but groups like G and RZR would no doubt attack it also.

What is really funny and amusing is reading while at work all these posts from desperate ppl each one hoping that the mighty BoB's will fulfil their wishes and choose as their next target the one they (the desparate ones ofc) hate the most and are incapable and incompetent of killing themselves.
That's a sick way to play the game ppl.

I ask a question to all those moaning about BoB backstabbing, What else do you suggest? We all make friends hold hands and have a big sing along around the star in Jita.
We are not saying we declare war on some alliances but we declare hostilities to all alliances, it not a betrayal of a certain ally or friend its just a change in the way we approach the game
Ultimately, PvP is why many people play Eve, expect a lot more of it over the weeks and months ahead.

As for the statements regarding x million skillpoints, you do realize that at a certain level it doesnt matter anymore how many skillpoints you have above this level because you will have most revelant skills on 4 or 5 which apply to the ship ure flying in "the" combat situation you are facing.
In short if i sit in my tempest it doesnt matter if i have caldari bs 5 aswell.
GG bob for resetting standings, give the universe hell.

Sometimes there needs to be a little explanation to go with our actions, not very often but in this case I think it warrants it.
About 12 months ago, give or take a few weeks, we set out on a year long plan to change the shape of the political and regional alliance landscape. This plan evolved over time, but generally we stuck to it and IÆm sure youÆll agree we succeeded in our high level strategy.
TodayÆs announcement is not a knee jerk reaction to the last few weeks, but actually something we planned in the 4th quarter of last year before we went on our rather successful northern road trip. Back in November last year we knew standings would be re-set probably at the end of March or the beginning of April. The final date of the announcement was put back a couple of weeks to accomplish the TRUST project. Anyway IÆm pleased that weÆre bang on schedule.
What IÆd really like to share with you is this. There was a point last year where our enemies could have dealt us a rather large blow and could have possibly gained the upper hand, however they chose the easier option and invaded a different part of space. That window of opportunity was small, but never the less was there. That window has now been well and truly closed.
So now to start our new project û see you all in space!

This is true only for avarage alliances, when they form large fleets, that wether or not few pilots have BS 5 doesnt matter, but when the enemy's fleet ALL have BS 5 and say, Large hybrid 5 as well, then it DOES make diffrence of about 10% extra firepower

roflmao @ the replies to this thread! I just have this mental images of a shedload of eve citizens in good old Monty Python pointing and squealing 'he did it... he did it!!' And hoping BoB attack someone else.
Now I know little of bob 'cept they shoot stuff and seem to do it well and when they want so methinks we could all expect a(nother) visit from them at some point. The politics for the most part seem irrelevant, just the want/need to make other peeps go *boom* seems to be the primary goal.
GL and congrats with the changes, at least we won't feel like were being singled out :p

I'd like to throw a small question in the ring. I have the impression that Eve is more balanced than ever in terms of large blocks of power claiming space.
BoB has a strong base, but exactly on which terms do one say they are the strongest ? I hear this all the time, but a battle is won after victory has been claimed or declared. They rolled over FA, but that was not really a feature... Barbie on rollerblades could have done that.
There's also ASCN and G/IRON that are very powerful blocks, .5. I don't really know and the others still seem to be in the consolidation phase. I like following the politics in here, but after all this time, I still don't have seen the reason why everyone always runs around scared when BoB speaks. Sure, it's obvious they master logistics and forum whoring and are good pvp'ers. But fer crying out loud so are others.
Enlighten me constructively.

When people in Impass and Feyth were either lining their personal pockets or building up their fleets and infrastructure, we were dealing with daily incursions from Red Alliance in the borders of Xetic (namely Immensea) that left us no time to build up. Feyth was our initial post (being sponsored by CLS initially) but some time later a decision was taken to send all the rookie corps to the meat grinder in Immensea so that the big ones could go about their daily routine. I'm not regretting that, we were having a blast, but that didn't leave us any room at all to look after our corp and become stronger for the coming conflict (of which no sign was visible at that point).That was way before Cyvok p*ssed the [5] off only to nap them sometime later.
Then when the front started to crumble during the [5] war we were told to come down to Feyth and people acted surprised that we could barely field 5 BS per corp. We opted to stay in Immensea with what little assets we had to harass the enemy, along with Black Lance, Pilots of Honour and E-R (who was not really a member corp, just had past ties with the alliance).
When you are pennyless, you don't spend your last 100 mil on BS for the enemy to instapop at random in a lagfest. What you do is get 10 cruisers, do hit and runs with them and you actually get your money's worth and provide a real service to the rest of the alliance, simply by forcing the enemy to commit a disproportionate amount of forces to weed you out. Back then there was no POS sovereignity and preserving whatever number of BS we had for station reclaiming made sense. I remember us taking back stations as soon as the [5] fleet started moving south, forcing them to come back every couple of days.
Most of all though,we prefer dying with some dignity rather than trying to kiss and make up with our killer

It's not personal and i don't harbor any ill feelings on a personal basis towards ASCN members,not even in ingame terms. We are just a stubborn lot (being Greeks and all) and that's just about it. Cheers

1) The same ppl who whined last week about us being allied to everyone, are now whining becasue we aren't allied to everyone.
2) The ppl who had us at positive standings are all cheering and saying "Seeya in space guys, have fun"
3) The ppl who we had as targets last week are now demanding more and more answers to detailed information and details about who, what and why.
With the EC-P operation, we ****ed off 50% of eve, and they were all yelling that the sky is falling. With this, we most likely **** off 25% more, and the same ppl who yelled last week that the sky is falling, are still yelling that the sky is falling.
With 75% of eve ****ed off at us, you could imagine that at least 25% of those would do something about us.
So please, drop the sky on our inflated heads, and show us how weak and slimey we all are.
I will however give this promise... whoever whines the most... You will see us shortly.

Hey..like I pretty much said back on page six...this is one of the cooler things I've seen BoB do. I love it.
I have my reservations about the extent to which these standings resets will be carried out, but nonetheless, fewer people will be napped with BoB and frankly, I find that quite refreshing.

None, the less, had some fun fights and my first taste of Kill, Death & Solo were all provided by Bob (good thing I didnt realized what a +4 intel implant was worth or I would have cried for days )

As Fix Trial members I and others of my corp flew in some Bob gangs, I must say that they have my respect as well as they always were well organized and respectful towards us; while I would not have shot at them first we will also defend our asstes and it will be fun as I know unlike some others we've flown against (cough SA) they won't log off in the middle of a battle or when the odds aren't in their favor.

I know exactly how VC works, i was in it from the begining. And tbh you lost alot of your best corps/players with your way of thinking. CELES had the right idea, face BoB head on, full battleships fleets. And when you told CELES no, thats not how we work, they left. Pugwash you have no business running an alliance/coalition or w/e you wna call it. When TAOSP invaded hophip/karan/d4k, where you? Safespotted/cloaked/with stabs in fountain core. When we rolled through and destroyed all the POSes in fountain space, where were you? Stain. Let me tell you this independ corp thing will not work. For an alliance or coalition to be succesful, in whatever their goal, whether it be ganks or full fledge fleet battle they need to support eachother. I'm not saying gank squads cant be effective and cause a hurt to allainces, even one as strong as bob. But the kind of things I've seen VC do in their "gank" squads, is appalling and hugely ineffective.
So howsabout leave TWD and HAST alone who have more pvp ability in their fingernails then your whole corp does. See in you space stabwash.

If BoB wanted to "win" Eve, they'd have kept their coalition together, expanded it as much as possible, and then snuffed out all other alliances one by one on pretexts until they were the only ones left. How achievable that would be I don't know, but it's a possibility.

At the end of the day, most people won't be affected by this. BoB just wants to do what they want to do, which is PVP, so I have to respect to that. They're not obligated to be blue to everyone under the sun. Sorry Necro, but you have no clue how VC works. Reformation and Shiva along with the other VC corps support each other just fine. We have worked together for years and have common goals. Maybe if you had stayed around to see things grow as they are now instead of being one of the fanbois, you would know how things really work.
As Pugwash said, VC is modular, and the coalition was formed that way in the beginning for just that reason, so that players could pursue the gameplay the way in which they wanted to have the most fun at. It in no way means we dont help each other or work with each other on a daily basis.
We must be doing something right. We are still in Fountain for now going on a year since the first ATUK/Shinra invasion and BOB and never removed us. We have added 300 players in the last month with more coming everyday to join the good fight.
Bottom line is we are all still having fun and that is what this game is about. And I always prefer a challenge. What better challenge then fighting the "so called" biggest and baddest in the game. Our day will come. It just take determination, willpower, and a reasonable set of attainable goals. And sorry we wont play your game.... yet!

Why would FIX hold bad intent you saved them from utter annilation. As far as they are concerned you can ***** slap them around as much as you want and they will just smile and ask for more. That and they know they couldnt field a force big enought to even protect their space let alone attack you in any really meaningful way. Perhaps things will change with Asuya Joining FIX, but the FIX left over after the SA Siege was indeed a sad and pathetic sight.

i find it phuny as in how many hf and stuff to bob. brown nosing them self in the hope they wont get shot at or what ? all the aliances wich will soon get some atacks from bon only have one way to get thrue this, but to much hate around so bob allready won. i see no challenge in this for bob atm. bob have to high pvp numbers thats the only reason they win, skill wise they arent all that.. then again **** knows whats going to happend, but im sure it will be masiv fun for all parts.. ill try see if i can join one of the aliances being atacked just so i can come in my ibiz and spred some ibiz fear into bob.. hell just the name bob wtf is up with that.. /me smack ower...

I post here cause i did not found the right post. sometimes in the near past i said on the forums that i did not saw any BoB loggin of if they are about to lose a battle. i want to retract that afirmation. in the last weekend i saw 5-7 BoB ships loggin when they were cornered in ASCN space. Logging out when cornered by superior forces and in hostile space is not only common practice but it's um.. sorta, wise.
Logging out while in the middle of a fight, or while still cloaked (You know who you are!!) is an entirely different animal.

Over 40..but u miss the point..in that case they could just bored us to death jumpin from ss to ss or jump from system with instas (cause they have those) and make a run..loggin is just exploitin without honour - but of course wise. there is no matter. i was not my intent to flame but i care about my oppinions and when i do one which later i found wrong i will post it. Back in Fountain region i never saw them leavin or loggin. I remember Juan stayed in FA core alone for several dayz killing ships without loggin to flee..he logged then only when he entered that crazy computer game called Real Life. Great respect for Juan! Thx and ope i did not offend anyone.

D2 has now formed to give us a match, which is cool, cos we always liked slagging it out with ze germans & co. Standings reset so that everybody gets some actual fun, instead of that eternal political backstabbing and talking, which was getting boring in the long run.

For some people that doesnt change anything, but for others does. For those cowards that were scared to fight and instead allied BOB. I really want to see if this is a REAL standing reset or just a way to say "BOB resets standings, BOB isnt scared of anyone, BOB rox bla bla bla".
So in a few words i really want to see who BOB will fight next.
Or maybe this is the start of the decay. Only time will show.

I have to say that I might have choosen the worst point in time to leave EVE with both my main characters (going to be sold soon) so I can focus back on RL and only play once in a while with a new char purely for fun and without all the corp/alliance responsibilities.
Interesting times ahead. I like gifts.
I might head out with my new char to fight BoB. Challenge 4tw. Oh, I hate you tho for stealing ASCN PvPers into your alliance
