Gallante. And no its not. Seems to be a Caldari one.
actually it is the Gallante Thanatos. it is just rocked up on its side in that shot (or the camera view is from below.)
Right, my eyes must be going bad. I thought that dreadnaught in the background was a megathron.
I think what you mean to say is that you confused that Brutix with a Dread naught with a Megathron.

Am i that hard to miss?
Well you DID just edit that in. 20 Jakars, eh? *thinks* I could handle that. Maybe not if they all warped in on us, though. We'd probably have to warp and come back.
So what was the bug?
It was the warp bug already stated above by someone.

Ah, right. That's one the GMs can confirm, I guess. Glad to see everything worked out.
If you have it handy, is there any proof that there's a level 3 cosmos mission in existance in which 20 navy Jakars and over 50 cruisers will warp in? Ever? The BS I can believe but I've never heard of missions, even cosmos ones, spawning 50 of something. Over 70 ships is more than most levels of a 10/10 will throw at you.

there is only 4 ships u can recognize in that pic.
1st is a Thanatos from Below Yes they seems to fly backwards. 2nd 2 apoc Smacking the Carrier just up and down 3rd The last ship in the pic also in gang with the guy is a frigging Brutix!!! Dreadnoughts neither have wings at the rear side or such shapped front side.

Is anyone else looking at the overview in sheer disbelief? Where do you start?
Btw, since when are there Cosmos missions in Covryn? I'll assume the gentleman with the reprehensible name meant RMR mission (as in new, omg, we're clueless, ruuuuun) and wasn't looking to give the impression that any pilot would have been overpowered like this by design...

Hah! I didn't even pick up on the system name. The only thing in Covryn is a Serpentis Phi Outpost, which is clearly 6.2AU away. In the text, they talk about level 3 missions and a control tower. In Portal to War level 3, there final area has two cathedrals and a control tower. I made the mistake of thinking I had to blow up the control tower, but it was the cathedral we had to blow up. If you don't do it in time, a fleet of 10 BS, 10 cruisers and 10 frigs warp in. The screenshot shows roughly that fleet minus a few ships.
I call bull****.

Edited by: Ithildin on 07/04/2006 17:38:36 Let's see.
* As has been pointed out, that's a Thanatos, nothing else. * That is Placid, meaning the mission rats are probably from a level 3 mission where there's a timer before the rats in the mission get "reinforcements". Notice how this timer was increased in a recent patch. * The pilot who took this screenshot revealed himself to be using a portrait exploit. The modification of what portraits shown is not permitted by the EULA. (Otherwise this would have been a simple way of spotting enemies in Jita local, just scroll down and look at portraits) * The blacked-out images with a light blue background are, in the original screenshot, actually portraits of (forum sensor) the third reich's leader. * I have no idea if it was photoshopped or not.

To do that you need to edit gamefiles (the small portraits pics) which is prohibited. |

Nonsense. This very topic came up in Help this afternoon and quickly drew GM Xhagen's attention. He actually confirmed that having the client execute your own Python scripts is not permitted:

It's not a script at all, nor does it take any data from the game itself or anything like that, it's a simple edit of the cache, and was OKed.

Uhmm would there be a point to such modification, really? Since portraits appear to have limited 'time to live' and expire after few days or so, at which point they're back to the "!" mark, especially if one switches between characters. So it seems like one would need to edit lot of files often for that? o.O;

Ok, we have a conflicting report then from in-game GM's.

Which begs the question why he (and his defender Stahlregen, obviously a reference to "In Stahlgewittern", Ernst Jnnger's autobiographical book on combat in WW I and an often uncritically read favorite of the militaristic maroonish crowd*) are tolerated here at all.
But we disgress. My, what a cans of worms one inept pilot and his unwisely taken screenshots have opened...
Edit: Oh, and I still want to know why the guy uses an overview setting that is worse than any nubtards.
