I am kind of hoping Kilrock drops by this thread.
Well, Hippo got me thinking and I admit I AM sensitive to the issue of a certain kind of people in certain kinds of MMOGs, especially having met them before. They, shall we say, cast a certain light on the rest of us with whom they share a passport and they're none too subtle about that.
Originally by: Stahlregen And as for implying that i am a national socialist based upon some vauge reference to some book whos name's prefix matches my own. W-hat. Stahlregen is my surname.
If I got this wrong with regard to "Stahlregen", I apologize.
A surname, you say? Neither the German nor the Austrian telephone directory lists even one entry. I'd like to believe your assertion, but one might see why that is difficult. And the connection between "Stahlgewitter" (thunderstorm of steel, for those who don't speak German) and "Stahlregen" (rain of steel) should be obvious enough to make your name a bad choice for a game nick anywhere otuside of hardcore CS in the company of like-minded individuals.
In any case, thanks for answering my question concerning one aspect to Remedial's piloting skills, and if I did cast you in a wrong light, I again apologize.

Well to be honest and precise, My surname is Stahlschmidt. Adding regen onto the end just sounds 100x more badass. I didnt really want to be talking about my surname on the internet for a couple hundred thousand people, you know? But it seems like you want me to elaborate and im fine with that if your that interested.

Nope, didn't want you to elaborate, a simple "It's a variation that I thought sounded more badass" would have been credible enough
Anyway, it's still an unfortunate way to be "badass" but you're not the first guy to make that mistake. Topic closed.
On a brighter note: I'm still chuckling whenever I look at that screenshot. Maybe a wallpaper is in order |

1. Assuming your using fighters why do you only have frigs locked when BS are present?
2. Why does a cap ship have a autopilot set?
I havent even asked him this but from just reading the thread you could assume
1. He was trying to kill frigates incase they were warp scrambling him
2. He was trying to use autopilot to warp him out and get around the bug
How could you not figure this out yourself?
Well as his warp bar is almost full the scram thing is crap...
and it would have been a lot better to pre-align to planet/station whatever...
with the brutix there in the background of the screenshot its a pretty crap targeting piroity I would say...
I trying not to assume anything...
Clearly you know nothing than about missions, or reading threads for that matter.
Goonfleet alt?
Sorry dumbass but I used to run a lot of missions and I still help my corp mbrs out on theirs even though I no longer run em solo.
Now unless that brutix in teh back ground has has rails and no web it should be able to take those frigs down very fast, thats not counting its drones...
Its more likley that its crap co-ordination that killed that carrier more than anything else. keep the brtix in close to kill frigs fast use the fighters to take the BS then kill the cruisers as a mop up...
Or I don't know wait till DT when the respwan timer for the ammar fleet to reset?
theres 4 pilots in that gang I refuse to belive none of them were set for frig killing...
I am not in goonfleet, but I am a goon.
I take it back, not only do you know little of mission running and reading threads. You also know very little of how to spell words correctly.

The only question that needs begging is why you feel the need to drone on and on and on in such a condescending manner and why you seem to be intent on having people banned from the game.
Also "nubtard" is offensive to me as it is an obvious reference to the word "retard", the Dictionary's premier insult filed under R and often uncritically read favorite of the intellectual bore crowd...
One day, I'll teach you about valueing substance over style. But not today, since you obviously lack an understanding of either.
You'll get to edit me when your application for forum moderator has been approved. Until then, you're only trolling, i.e. purposefully distorting other people's posts with the intent of creating a spurious argument for your own gratification.
Eat your own bait.
Nice to see your still making frends and are as popular as ever JP

Wow a spelling flame...how lame?
And even better Mr one line reply himself whos solution of record for the lvl 1 worlds collide mission is "assault fig or friends" is telling me I don't know anything about mission running... ========= "I am not saying there should be capital punishment for stupidity, but why can`t we just take the safety labels off everything and let the problem fix its self |

We had some ideas about the whole modifying portrait thing ourselves. We asked a GM if we could modify portraits - he initially said yes, but when it was upped to a senior GM, it was deemed an exploit and not allowed. We've had this confirmed from several GM's since and won't be exploiting using a portrait change, despite the many ideas we've had for it.

First off thats a lvl 2 mission called human cattle 5 of 5, the dumbass tried to take on the amarr fleet to go beyond the extra gate, to see the prize
Originally by: D'onryu Shoqui Edited by: D''onryu Shoqui on 07/04/2006 16:20:31 looks like the level 3 mission that has the massive amarr fleet of like 20BS + loads of other smaller ships that you arent suposed to kill
if its the mission im thinking of you are suposed to enter the gate of the last stage and kill a little frig then the mission is over and theres an amarr fleet sat 300km away.
heres a pic of the fleet your not suposed to kill http://snoop1050.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/amarrfleet.jpg

This thread has degraded into flames and I beleive exhausted all constructive conversation that's to be had on the topic. I'm locking this.
To those that are discussing modification of portraits in-game, it is an exploit. It has been said many times and confirmed by GMs and senior GMs that any game mechanic or UI modification not availible through the game's standard interface is an exploit. Don't be surprised if you get caught - punishments for violating the EULA include anything up to and including permanant game bans.
