Need some advice on this setup for PVPing with. Any help appreciated.
Highs: 5 heavy electron 2 med nos
Meds: 1 web 1 warp disruptor 1 med cap booster 1 afterburner
Lows: 2 medium reps 1 armor explosive hardener 1 armor kinetic hardener 1 armor thermic hardener
Only worry I have with this is that it'll be too slow, but I can't see any way to fit a MWD on yet. I do need to (someday) get AWU, so it might fit then, but for now, it'll have to be the AB or changing something else on the setup. Any suggestions?

Oi, please ignore the previous poster.
This setup won't really work out nicely since you really need a MWD in a blasterix, also replace your hardeners for two Adaptive Nanos (if possible) and stick in some more damage mods.

my 2 brutix setups:
Tank (Cheap Brutix I also call it)
4xDual 150 IIs 3xMedium Nos AB Web Disrupter Injector w/800s 2xMAR II 3xHards (useually run standard hard since they are cheaper) 5xHammerhead IIs
Blasterix
7xIon IIs w/void and null in hold MWD Web Disrupter Injector w/800s Named MAR 2xAdaptive Nanos II 2xMag Stabs II 5xHammerhead IIs
both are very good I like the first 1 if I know i'm going against hacs solo, I like the other one for gang fights.

Definitely fit MWD btw. Without it you don't stand a chance of getting into range

I've just purchased a Brutix recently and I've been thinking the same thing: What to put on it? I've spent the last 4 months training my combat support skills and not worrying about getting into big ships yet, but now I've trained myself for the Brutix and I'm eager to go PvPing with it. I was thinking something like this as a settup for weapons:
3 150mm Carbine Rails w Antimatter (to track and hurt frigates and interceptors), 2 250mm Rails (for damage), 2 Medium Nos to drain my opponents.
Would this settup work? I want something that will punch, have decent range but be able to fire at interceptors if they come too. I'm worried about going all Medium turrets because then I'd fear I wouldn't be able to track an Interceptor or an Assault Frigate.

if you got AWU 4 you can fit it with named guns, and I beleave you might need to fit 1 named rep also, both those fits are extrememly tight and require AWU 3 atleast to fit most of the t2 items.
if your skills are a bit lower here are a few other options i'm recomended to other:
4xdual 150s(standard or named) 3xMedium Nos AB Web Disrupter Injector 2xNamed MAR 3xHards 5xHammerheads
that should fit without AWU and is fully capable of killing hacs, and is pretty cheap,
also this works well
5xElectrons (standard or named) 2xNos MWD Web Scram Injector 2xNamed MAR 3xHards
thats a pretty standard setup i've seen mentioned alot of places.
I would only go for the all blaster setup with no nos if you got tech 2 skills and good fitting skills since you don't have much of a tank with those setups and need the DPS to kill them fast

just use the dualy 150 setup i've listed its low skill friendly, use drones to kill frigs that don't get in webrange, if they get in webrange just nos web and pop em. brutix main strength is ether a massive tank or extreme dps, not really the best frig killer but drones let it fend off a few if needed.

Hey Ghaka
your Setup seems quite good to me
But I would drop one repper and replace the ab with an mwd.
As weapons i would use 7 tech II ions.

My Fitting Skills are maxed out(AWU 5) so its not a problem, I still prefer my setup though as I like to deal out the most damage.
Would have been nice if you could fit that neut, would have really killed HACs Cap.

Volt, I quite like your setup, and use one very similar (no tech2 guns yet though).
Anyway, why not replace the energized adaptive nano with a damage control? Or are the nanos better?

beleave me killing a hacs cap isn't an issue with 3 med nos, the only chacne a hac has against a nosing brutix is that it can fire its weapons with no cap. so cerbs and ishtars can be scary (natural resist to hybrids + no cap weapons pretty much cancels out my setup), vagas and munnins can also cause issues but most of the time aren't an issue since they have a weekness to hybrid damage and when they are caped out they die fast, though keeping auto vagas and munnins still long enough to kill them can be an issue.

Nice video. Do you have AWU trained? I can't see any way to fit two med reps and a MWD on without having it, even with engy 5. I'm only about 20 PG short.

swap the ab for a mwd, swap one of the med reps for a small, make all low slots t2 stuff and its a nice little setup + i can solo vagas and deimos in mine with that setup (usually).

1x named capacitor recharger 1x 10MN T2 AB 1x webber 1x scrammer
1x 1600mm tungsten plate 2x mag stab 1x overdrive 1x med armour repper
with this setup ive made over 30 kills with no issues + it can tank gate guns long enough to waste a cruiser or upto 3 destroyers or as many frigs as u can lock, the warp time is slow but by the time uve locked and shot you should start warping with this setup because u get around 600-900 dps at a 2.8-3.4sec fire rate
^^ slow but does the damage

Um, sry to ruin this for you, but with the 1600mm plate, overdrive, and the lack of MWD, every sane target will warp away or pwn you before you get in range. BCs've got a horrible agility, wich you gimp even more with 1600mm plate and overdrive. Then, the AB siply wont do it, presuming you will meet your target at 20-15km range. And after all, 1 cap recharger wont cut the extensive ABing, 1 MAR and 3 med neutron cap consumption.

I've done quite a bit of piloting using this fitting, and while I normally use 800 charges as opposed to 400s, I decided to do some extensive testing in the Quickfit capacitor simulation, and found that 400s actually sustain my setup about 20 seconds longer with everything running. Every little bit counts.

I got tired of getting ganked by T2 frigs and getting left behind by faster ships in complexes so I developed the Speed Brute.

Sometimes include Nos or smartbombs, or warp stabs depending on the situation.

You basicly got two options:
heavy tank
7x electron II 1x MWD, Injector, web, scram 2x Med Repair II, 2x adaptive nano II, 1x damage control
The damage control will give you a few extra cycles with both repairs. That helps a lot. Ferox, Proph and Cyclon cant tank or kill you if you get close fast.
Or full gank (if you go in groups or even better got a covert to get right on top of the target):
7x Heavy Neutron II 1x AB, dual web, scram damage control, 4x Mag Stab II
The latter is quite nice if you face a solo close range HAC. I demoralized a Deimos pilot on the test server. Was quite fun. :) You may want to switch a mag stab for a reactor control to get a MWD in.

You could switch to electrons and use 2x Mar & fit a cap booster but you might require some fitting skills to make it work iirc -------- Kill em all and let god sort em out
