Why is BOB the only entity making big things happen in 0.0? Has it come to a point that the other 90% of alliances in 0.0 are just content for the odd 2hr skirmish on the weekend then back to mining? With the exception of ISS trade hubs, and former G and Iron's southern campaign, no one is putting thier spoons on the table content-wise.
Love them or hate them, Band of Brothers has gained some respect by declaring war on THE UNIVERSE. Not because of their actual intent to kill everybody but because they are creating player content we all can enjoy.
They've even turned to friendly alliances (Fix and Xelas) that thought they were safe and told them "we're gonna shoot you too!". Fix for example, ran around poking other alliances with sticks under the protection of BOB. They smacked so hard on the forums you would think they had all the spoons, and this this all because they knew BOB had their back. But now they find themselves in a very lonely place. It's every alliance for themselves and any alliance that can't hold its ground in the forthcoming fighting will most certainly loose thier territory.
I don't particularly like BOB (personally I think theres too much arrogance), but they are writing EVE history right now which is more than can be said for other alliances. More alliances in 0.0 should follow suit and try to have fun instead of just being content with mining crok everyday, shipping it to Jita and logging off.
The people that make and have made this game fun, the sirmolles, the jade constantines and the ragnars of this community are too few now. If BOB were to disappear and go practise elf dance emotes in WOW, what would become of 0.0? Would anyone do anything other than mine systems to death?

Plenty of alliances conduct plenty of political drama.
BoB just happens to be one of the strongest of the subset that smears it all over the boards.

BoB's victores are the only ones posted on the forums. Yes, but this does not mean that other alliances aren't achieving victories of equal, or even greater, power. It simply means that they know what they're doing, and feel no need to project to others that they're making progress, because they know that, and their enemies know that, and that's all that matters.

Hmmmm...
History:
"old" CA was big = history
"old" SA was big = history
Fountain was big = history
Now:
Red Alliance isnt so strong anymore
G / IRON / Trust merged
BoB is strong atm
Future:
We have to look and the future is open for all.
So no fear and enjoy the future in EvE....

It seems that only people who aren't involved need to ask questions like "what is the future of 0.0 space?", perhaps because every [player] who is involved thinks the answer is "total subjugation by [player]".

If you haven't gathered that these forums are only 90% what you think is being said and 10% of the truth.Information disinformation all in one little forum.
So, jump in a sh....no no log into EVE and find out wtf is up.Most of what you said was total crap based on 2-3 facts that were so wrong they made you look like a 15 day trail account.On the 3rd day and ended upreading the forums?

Tbh - these two sentences are the important ones in your post ... yeah, the ol' GNW days have vanished a long time ago ... i wasn't here when it all happened, but there was more RP content - the war had other reasons than fighting for terretory and resources, it was afaik more an ideological war ...
but to say - there's no history happening is wrong, cause no one writes about it doesn't mean it's not happening. it happens all the days - but you won't find a page long announcement for certain events where the how and why are explained ... you have to search for certain informationsources ... look at the mapthread ... here you can find a bit of information ... look at the alliancechart - here you find another bit ... search this alliance discussion board (and i hope reading dozens of flames and offtopic stuff doesn't bore you ) and you'll find some nice information..
tbh - i wouldn't say that in the old days back everything was better - it has changed ... now not one or two persons/entities are writing the history - now it's up to those who data-mine and evaluate the informations ... /me thinks some historians are needed

bob bob bob.. u guys must really fear bob.. ye bob is biggest atm and can basicly do what they want to. but hey... they wont keep doing that. sooner or later bob will fall.. look in eve history... all the big falls.... bob is arogant and i hope all they gained out of this is the old enemies to gather to actually stand up and face bob and give em the fight they beg so hard to get... bob isent all :) eve is.

More like every other alliance isn't a clot of nerds that play 24/7 and farm complexes most of the time, turning them into walking purses that can afford loosing 20 HACs an evening.

Before BoB, there was FA and CA. Both very strong and aggressive (FA was controlling directly Fountain, Delve, Querios and Period Basis in the old times). CA was almost fighting everyone else and controlling huge space as well.
After BoB will get bored and disbands (it's sad but in eve it is like that: all alliances die cause they get bored of controlling territory) there will be some other big alliances taking their place and so on.
The recent takeover of TRUST outpost is fun? I honestly can't see how sitting 9 days in a damn laggy system watching bubbles or shooting POS afk is fun.
People talk about content and all by reading the forum, but are missing the FUN. It is fun reading in the forum how a 36POS system is taken by BoB/ASCN/5, but is it fun actually doing it?
None is adding big content to 0.0 cause simply they find other things more enjoyable. BoB declares war to everyone cause they are bored and no alliance survives boredom.

I have not been in Eve that long(6 months-ish). BoB has not affected my gameplay, not once. I see that they are big, rich, and a force to be reckoned with. In the 0.0 space I fly in, I haven't encountered them much. So until I see BoB crossing my space and setting up shop, I won't lose sleep over the "BoB is coming to pwn all" hype.
BoB is shaking up the political landscape in an unprecidented way. I have tremendous respect for that. It sounds like a lot of fun on the side of the map, but the universe is too large at the moment and I see more pressing enemies on my horizon. Good luck on sieging the universe BoB.
