The reason everone uses stabs nowadays is couse everyone started talking about them at the forum. Stabs are for a fact the reason real pirates died. I get like one out of ten fights that will come to an end, in both low sec and 0.0.
I think when u get in a fight u better die or survive, everyone in eve should be ready for a fight any time be it there mining be it they rating. Stabs got to go!.

The reason why so many people are using stabs is because, firstly they were changed from med slot modules to low slot.
Then due to the stacking changes, more low slots were freed up to fit stabs. Also the the EW changes mean that it is harder to guage wether you enemy can jam you, hence it often makes sense to fit stabs because you can go into fight after fight and be jammed by ships with like 3 med slots. Which gets very, very frustrating.

This game is what you make of it.. If you are board it is your own fault. I see nothing wrong with any tactics imployed by people in this game.. If you dont like the fact someone is using stabs then learn how to counter it.
If you dont like something find ways to get arround the problem. I see too many people on these forums complaining about stuff.. When what they should be doing is learning as much about how to counter these things they are whining about.
as to pirats.. I look at it this way.. If you A. Make money from your actions. B. Have fun doing it. You are a good Pirate. Regardless what others think or say. Your here to have fun.. make a little isk and blow some ships up.. Not care about what others think.
In the art of war there are no rule. cept for 1.. "Their are no rules" That said. I will use any and all means at my disposal to take my target out.. If i can't take my target out i will not fight. Plain and simple.
(Side note: i am not a pirate nor thinking of becoming one any time soon)

i agree with you there. though i also agree more with whoever it was that said its not the method of palying thats the problem anymore as thats just development but the attitude of some of thoose playing.

I might be generalizing but it seems to me many of the problems in eve that look unrelated are all actually related. By the attitude of those people using them. Its the morons who like to smacktalk in local, who have no respect for fellow players and try to gank and grief as much as possible for their own "fun", that probably are the ones buying isk as well.. I mean they have no respect for their fellow players or the hard work and vision of CCP.

Until you pay for the subscription/s of the person or corp you are complaining about, you have no right to utter a word of complaint about their style of play, unless of course it is exploiting some aspect of the game.
What's more, all this sentimental rubbish about real, 'old' pirates and whatever else is laughable. Everything in this game is changeable and context based, so any notion of what a 'real' pirate, or 'real' pvper is will change with the game. Just because some of the more notorious pilots preferred a particular playing style, does not legitimate that style as the only correct one.
