It was one of those unfortunate incidents of war.
From the local log, it was obvious that what occured wasn't supposed to happen, nor was it condoned by a large majority of the HUZZAH pilots present in the system.
3 separate HUZZAH heads have stepped forward to offer their personal apologies, as well as reimburse for the ship, not because they're 'rolling over', but because it was the right thing to do in this situation.
Not many entities in the EVE universe hold their honor so high, HUZZAH's actions ought to be applauded, one pilot does not make an alliance.

Well it looks like it was an unfortunate incident. It appears to have been addressed to the satisfation of both parties.
As Huzzah have a lot of new members that from what I hear are still a bit wet behind the ears in PvP it is not surprising this kind of thing happened. On the positive side, it's an opportunity to teach some of those newer players what is considered acceptable behavior in these situations.
Clearly xuxxina agreed to the 1v1 and several of his corpmates agreed to the terms. Granted, Notius Maximus agreed and was on the kill mail. Considering it was a drone listed on the kill mail from Notius Im inclined to believe it was accidental. We all know that drones tend to do their own thing whether we like it or not. In the future park those things so they dont go running wild.
On the other hand Buadyen & Tessa Vaako should be taken out behind the station and thrashed for unsportsman like conduct. They are in the same corp as xuxxina and have no excuse. If your corpmate agrees to a 1v1 you stand by and enjoy the show. You badly dishonor yourselves & your whole corp acting like that. You cant claim that your local was bugged and you didnt know because your corp channel was working just fine.
Justin Marr, was not in the same corp and was not local bugged either. He just wasnt paying attention. From reading the chat log he realized it after the fact and was clearly sorry. Deserves 30 lashess with the wet noodle for daydreaming on the job.

Wait... xenorx is now in charge of Huzzah's internal discipline? I must have missed an alliance mail.

Props to Hans for sorting this out.
Although i'm a big fan of 1on1's and very against people who dishonour them...
I do think convincing a potential 1on1 opponent to gang up and warp to you while your at a fully armed POS very funny. ----- Angelus X - Meatshield

Ah sorry, missed Tessa's post. My bad.
Nope neither xenorx or Father Callahan would be very good at that job.
On the other hand the third character on my account just might be in charge of Huzzah's internal discipline! You just can never tell about these things. No one can hear you scream in space, so STFU and die already. |

Edited by: Zrevak Ashek on 14/04/2006 20:50:24 Huzzah has been at war with numerous entities since its conception, and have allways been known to honour any 1 vs 1. Period.
This latest event is unfortunate, apologies have been given and the "victim" has been more than reimbursed for his loss by Huzzah.
Huzzah is known for its honourable qualities throughout Eve. I deem the original poster to be a person whom real agenda is to discredit Huzzah as a whole, knowing full well it was more than likely to be an isolated incident involving a bunch of new players to Eve.
You, nor your allies will ever be able to break the spirit of Huzzah. Your lies and attempt at deceit will backfire in the end.

I'm glad this was sorted out to satisfaction.
A personal word of warning: As we are obvously pursuing active hostilities with FIX, I will not honor 1v1 in V2. Period. I'm sorry if you feel this is dishororable, but you are talking about a huge tactical leak by allowing a foe just hang out in such a critical system. If you truly want to duel, agree to meet a system or two out. At least there, there's no excuse.
So good luck, good hunting, and don't ever come into V2 "to duel".

guys such incidents happen, I hope nobody looses respect to our 1v1's.
I know few ppl in FIX who are honorable, and it was fun fighting 1v1's even in station system like FAT.
Thats said, stating the location of the fight in local was.. stupid aspointed out, someone could log in back in space, see that sentence, and warp there.
Any 1v1 should be agreed on convo always.
Hope to see some good 1v1s in the future, even in our core systems ---------------------------------------------- All my posts are my own opinions and dont not represent any organization until stated otherwise. |

Those who commin up with these replies, seriously seems like you have no code of honor. 1v1 is 1v1, no matter where it is, after all where else are you gonna meet hostiles to kill and to even get the chance to ask for 1v1, either they in your space, or your in thiers. Get a brain plz. Sure sometimes u can meet in neutral space or in empire, tho this does not happen often.
make as SS next time. gang up and engage.

I see a lot of people throwing the word honorable around without having the slightest idea as to what it means .
I never had a problem in a 1 on 1 with a HF member before, it's most unfortunate that a few bad seeds taint your reputation, and even sadder is the fact that a lot of HF members seem to think it was perfectly OK.
Props to Hans for sorting this out, though.

To me, this whole thread seems ridiculous.
1v1's should be honoured yes, but when in 0.0 there can be lots of different chat windows going on and you can't be upto date on the convo's in all of them.
Huzzah and FIX are at war, a FIX player docked at the Huzzah HQ shouldn't really be able to cry over spilt milk when he tries to undock and finds Alliance ships around. (especially their HQ)!
Just seems crazy to me.

I remember once when we jumped into pilots from the oldschool curse alliance in somewhere like p-z, we lost the battle, but both sides agreed to bring the same ammount of ships, and jump and warp to the gate at exactly the same time,
Was one of the most intense battles i've ever had, sticking to your word and fighting fair, its a whole lotta fun
1vs1 ftw, all though huzzah dnt seem to think so, /me pets my vexor and arbi

And them breaking 1v1 is bad yes i know, and it appeared to have been solved. But tbh convo spamming someone to give you time to line a covert up on them and kill them is worse.... But i lived and wont make a fuss of it, its done solved.

If you go into 0.0 please, pretty please seperate and pin your local window. You dont often need to read loca. Most of the time its a waste of a chat window, but you have it open so you can see if the enemy is in system with you. I'm pretty sure most people who have played for a long enough to be immersed in an alliance have a multitude of windows open at any given time.

Seems crazy that a player from an alliance we have at -10 can dock but I'm not sure that was actually the case.
