I spent the thick end of two years living in assorted 0.0 regions. Almost all of that time, I was as bored as all hell; now I'm back in empire where there's fun to be had. ________________________________________________

Edited by: beretta on 17/04/2006 16:58:28 0.0 with occasional runs to empire to pick up supplies like spare modules and ships. sometimes its weeks before i go back to empire. quite frankly i cant stand empire anymore and tryo to spend as little time there as i need to. only thng i like is a vast market to buy stuff and the factthat i can fly on ap with no worries for the most part.

0.0. I created an empire alt to to all my shopping, so if/when my main needs to go up to hi-sec empire, it's just long enough to pick soemthing up and head right back down to Fountain. These trips are rare, thankfully.

I get back to empires sometimes and have to stop myself from locking everything. especially when i was traipsing around afrer EC-P8R >< so many things w/o overview blue...
anyway. 0.0 4tw! accidentally finding out the mins i had been mining were worth...a bit more than i expected.
*doh, I broke my edited sig :/* *cries* this signature was lacking pink, I'll provide it for you. There. Looks better doesn't it? -Eris Fixed it for you. Oh, btw, yarr! ~kieron Didn't I tell you? Empire for two reasons: One, i'm not skilled enough to last long in 0.0.... and two, 0.0 sounds like fun in theory, but empire has so much more traffic I think it's alot more fun to be there compared to 0.0 where relatively few people live, and those that do are so highly skilled it's smart to just avoid them.
I plan on going to 0.0 often just to rat the high ISK bountys, but for now thats all I plan to do there.
0.0 is sort of EVE's 'endgame', it's meant for high level players (read: old players with significant time in skills)... it definetly offers things you just can't do in empire, but the reverse is also true.
When it's all said and done, I think EMPIRE is the place to be, simply because there's more people which translates into more targets.... which translates into more PVP...
I get more satisfaction out of killing a carebear than killing anyone else... if carebears were in 0.0 then i'd go there more often... but that just isn't the case.

Edited by: Steppa on 17/04/2006 18:02:13 99% in 0.0, 1% in low-sec empire only on paydays for the prostitutes. We'd have prostitutes at our POS, but they simply get blown away because you can't protect a POS, even one with prostitutes, for anything anymore.

Empire.
I spent a few months in 0.0 but the lack of infrastructure was dispiriting. In Empire I can log on and just do stuff. In 0.0 I log on, ask around and more often than not give up and log out. -- (Battle hardened miner)

Why do you feel Empire is more fun? More people around?

Depends on where the highest concentration of enemies are - I tend to live in the borderzone between Empire and 0.0, often logging very close to where my enemies do business.

Edited by: Lorth on 17/04/2006 19:11:06 I live, fight, and earn my isk in 0.0. Both accounts. I only come back to empire to buy tech 2 stuff, as I don't have any copies thus can't built it. Everything else I have the BPO for and have no problem building my-self.

This is not true, btw. One just needs a supportive corp who's based there.

0.0 exclusively, except occasional trips to jita to sell stuff or for freighter escorts...
Let me tell you empire folk (being a few months now in 00), living in 0.0 in a 0.0 corp/alliance is so much more fun than empire. You mak way more isk, which offsets losing ships out there to other players. In the end all that matters is the fun factor, which is ++ in 0.0. _________________________ - We are Eye Of God, being so, we see the big picture. - Axiom is a self-evident truth upon which other knowledge must rest AND if its not self-evident to you, thats what |
