Seriously, WTF? Am I talking to myself here?
I'm in Isaziwa & Inoue tonight and I see these characters around.
Jamaal Barnett G.a.ylord McMillan* Tristan Shepard Weldon Rocha Carter Sanders Walton Berry Mohammed Lucas Lyndon Nielsen Brady Bowen Jeremiah Garrett Porter Malone
That's ELEVEN people. Check them out ingame. You'll find that they're ALL Civire. They ALL graduated from the State War College six days ago (as of this writing) and, tonight anyway, they're ALL flying around the same system in identical Caracals, doing missions as fast as they can and not bothering to pick up their loot.
And that's not even mentioning the cookie cutter "one from the first list and one from the second list" names.
I tried convoing Porter Malone finally. He accepted the convo, and said "hi." But he never said anything else and then just closed the channel about five minutes later.
So what the hell? This can't be normal play, can it? There's got to be some kind of weird macro-er thing going on here, right? But what? They're doing missions now too? They're not even picking up the loot. What, are they training up characters to sell or something? What's next? A script to post the same tired insults and threats on Intergalactic Summit whenever someone from your enemy bloodline says anything?
I mean seriously. I know I'm real. Cogito ergo sum and all that, but I'm beginning to have serious doubts about the rest of you.
*remove periods - stupid filters. Well, I guess those periods will make sure no one's feelings get hurt. See, this is what I'm talking about. The whole damn game's starting to feel mechanized to the point of stupidity. You can't even say *****, for God's sake.

You establish a communication with someone running missions in a group and complain about them not entertaining you?
If you suspect they're using macros, write a petition under the topic exploit and let the GM do their work. --*=*=*-- Megadon CCP wanted a well known artist and celebrity to test the new font so it's approval would be well known. They got Ray |

We are the Amarr. Lower your shields and surrender your ships. We will add your mission running and belt hunting ships to our own. Your culture will adapt to service God and the Emperor.
Prepare to have your ravens and caracals painted gold. Resistance is futile.

Oh, don't be obtuse. Of course it's not their job to entertain me, and I never said it was. And it's not so much a question of me suspecting they're using macros (to do missions??) as being really confused by something that you have to admit is kind of weird and casting about for some reasonable explanation.
Do you actually have one?

as for macros: i doubt it - making one that runs missions reliably would be amazingly difficult. i find it likely that is one guy, with several PCs (one per 2 accounts?), farming the missions as fast as possible. What goal he has in mind i have no idea - may well be nefarious

I have a possible theory:
Someone actually paid attention to all the blogs about the new "Factional Warfare System" that is comming in the Kali Patch.
After reading all of that information, and looking at how amazingly difficult it would be to repair his/her corps factions to align with one bloodline...
They decided that it would be easier to use their three accounts to run with a bunch of noob characters with all the same agents to get their faction ratings up quicker.
Of course that doesn't make 100% sense with them doing it in a npc noob corp. But it sure as heck would if they did it in a brand new corp! It would probally be the quickest way to get fast high standings with one race.
Things that make you go... Hmmmm..... __________

Lies, you are a convo bot just like me.
On a serious note they may be genuine n00bs mission grinding to the point they skip loot collection in favour of LP + standings. Maybe they met in the nub channel and formed a gang. I know for a fact when somebody convos me and I'm on a mission I'll say hi then wait for them to tell me what they want. If they convo me and say nothing I close the channel and focus on the fight. Quite often somebody in local has told me I'm boring cos I don't say much and won't talk about football with them. Ignoring of course the 4 other channels I am chatting about Eve related stuff in.
It may be nothing sinister.

Although follow it through logically
* Sweat shop/ macro'ers read the boards and realise they are damn easy to spot by their crap names
* They start using names like Jim Pee and Samuel Wee (I have actually seen these), but they are still easy to spot
* They notch up a gear, and start using Western names
However, what does mission running get them? I am just thinking aloud here:
* Better standings with NPC corps, means better refines?
* They realise they can make more money through 24/7 level 3/4 missions than mining the whole time? eg. lvl 3s pay, what, 200k a mission if you include bonuses?
* Sweat shop rebellion- "no more mining, we are sick of it. We want to blow up stuff"
* Much harder to disrupt mission runners than sweat shop miners.

Think about how many variables you have to track with a mission macro. Your constantly tracking your status cap/damage/ammo your closesness to target there damage status the actual goal of the mission which isn't always to destroy everything in site, the possible having to collect special loot aswell. Extremely hard to do comapared to the simple miner macro path of undock, warp to first belt on overview, target nearest roid, start mining, wait for first mining cycle to complete ,jetison to jetcan, open cargo can via overview, repeat with drag and drop every single mine cycle. Biggest factor is that mining lasers are regular a timed cycle that makes life easy as heck for a macroer. Alot of people have seen some basic guard scripts guarding miners, this is most probably the most complex combat script, and it most probably consists of a system watching overview constantly for any changes, triggering an event on those changes.

"Check them out ingame. You'll find that they're ALL Civire."
Civire make good combat characters. Their attributes let them learn plenty of combat-related skills fast.
"They ALL graduated from the State War College six days ago (as of this writing)"
You go through certain school path during character creation to get certain skills. State War school is good option for combat character, again.
"they're ALL flying around the same system in identical Caracals"
Caracals are missile boats, so make good mission runners. Alternative is doing these missions in Osprey or Moa. The latter is more expensive and not really more useful, the former is... well, 'tis Osprey, enough said.
Oh and yes, all Caracals do look the same. Game limitation, am afraid.
"doing missions as fast as they can and not bothering to pick up their loot."
In year+ of somewhat casual running of low level missions, i found literally two modules that was actually worth putting on sale. Picking up rest wastes time you can use shooting the rats in another mission.
"And that's not even mentioning the cookie cutter "one from the first list and one from the second list" names."
From the main forum page, pulling names of most recent posters:
Jenny Spitfire Phinaes Black Joshua Havelock Lucian Corvinus Vladimir Yuchenko
... holy botting Batman, cookie cutter "name and surname" isk farmers everywhere. They're even posting on the forum now, to further hide their real nature.
Seriously, i really don't get the source of complaint. Freshly started characters are flying basic cruisers and doing low level missions in high security space? As opposed to whom, half EVE population?

loot in missions generally sucks. I wouldn't bother picking it up if it wasn't for the scrap value (which is very little, you could make more easily just jumping around belts in high sec killing rats).

Ah, so im not the only one that spotted these. I've noticed this class of macroers about a year ago (as they have the annoying tendency to start out their business in my HQ in Caldari space)
They're using a fairly advanced script to run agent missions automatically. It is easy to tell they are scripts with a simple test - which im not going to disclose here (or anywhere else so don't ask) to prevent them adapting to it.
They don't do it for the standings, afaik they are trial accounts and they will let them expire. So, they do it for the ISK. Now running level 1 and 2 missions all day might not seem like much income, but times 50 it's something completely different.
The best thing to do is to exploit petition these type of guys.
