I scout Wh space everyday, and lately it's been.....
Empty.
I come here (to the forums) to see what's what periodicly.
I see the same complaint over and over, no content in WH space. Nothing to do people are bored.
Wh space was always about making your own content. Except the large WH corps/alliances have shot themselves in the foot time and time again.
You think to yourselves "Let's evict these guys, they didn't give us a gud fight even tho we outnumber them 3:1" (hail BOB)
So you proceed to remove them, and now there's one less corp/alliance in WH space. Less Content.
Rinse, Repeat.
Every time you evict someone, you remove content from WH space. By leaving them there (esp in C5/C6) you give yourselves a chance to catch them plexing at a future date = creating content.
But every time you evict someone, sure some may come back into WH space, there will be a small percent of players that won't return. reducing the number of people to shoot at.
It's called preservation, we do it in the real world for resources that are renewable (you know replanting forests....) the concept isn't that different in WH space boys and girls.
Next time some idiot comes up with the idea to evict another small group from Wh space remember you're only creating your own boredom.
you have only yourselves to blame.
Flame away. I thought I'd just point out my perspective on the whole situation.

leet wormhole terminology. Usually forum alts that do not wormhole complain about lack of content in WH's.
So if you are basing 'your perspective' on the forums, it might not be the best data point to start a discussion on the topic of wh content.

These days those kind of evictions happen 9 times out of 10 because either someone wants that hole or has been hired by someone who wants that hole - even in the past when some groups were more inclined to evict people in the manner your talking about it was generally because they had been encountered multiple times with significant numbers online but had always POSed up and/or logged off - it generally didn't happen just because, there aren't many groups left who take that approach to people dodging PVP when they have the numbers for it any more however. |

'Lately' is probably the worst term that could have been used.
How late is lately? Lately there haven't been any high profile evictions. Lately wormhole space has been as empty as it's always been. And if it even has been empty lately, it has had nothing to do with eviction levels, but instead to do with wormhole alliances requiring large numbers to be operational, and those alliances being extremely volatile in comparison to nullsec alliances.
Less large alliances that can sustain their space = less content in that space, save for farmers that pos up as soon as anything enters dscan. If you're seriously expecting those farmers to generate more content by 'plexing' than with a good old fashioned eviction (which no one even does nowadays) than you should seriously reconsider your argument.
That said, I have little experience with sub-c5 space, but it is my understanding their mechanics make evictions even less desirable when confronted with serious wormhole groups.
TL:DR you're bad at wormhole space, post with your main. Etc. |

Ok ill give you some things to consider also OP.
1) Despite what many people think ganking people solo running missions or mining and other assorted PVE activity's while being somewhat entertaining dose not satisfy my lust for full blooded PVP engagements.
2) Catching people actively running capital escalations in C5+ is very hard to do unless there horribly incompetent, it either takes hours for rage rolling with a pre-formed fleet. This is hard to do because its boring and fleets dwindle. The other method is to go full Blood Union on there asses and this in itself also is boring and needs no small amount of foresight.
So taking the first two points into consideration these people provide very little content to other entities in relation to the number of people they fill there systems with. They are usually alts of K-Space scum and when trouble rolls into them logg of and go play on other toons.
The only reason they aren't evicted as much as they deserve to be is because doing so is a very boring and not very profitable undertaking.
So no we aren't shooting ourselves in the foot because these people have no intention of ever providing content apart from maybe the one time a year you manage to catch them out. But by evicting them your sending a message, maybe they regroup and come back hopefully next time they come back with a better attitude.

Evictions? How many large evictions do you count? I mean succesfull ones where posses were burned. Most recent one was why so serious but beyond that who else?
I do think there are less people in c5/c6 but other then stories about evictions making people scared i see few reason that people aren't moving into c5-c6 space. Maybe that don't have enough people? That is usualy the big problem, or they can't set the pos security to an aceptable level. |

We find fights almost daily in and around C5 space. When we don't, our k-space connections usually offer pew not far away. Lately we've been doing a lot of ops in k-space for learning to fly kitey shield.
For reference, last night we had a good time having a 3-way with blue-fire and Quebec's Underdog League. There was less blood shed than all would have liked, but volleys were exchanged aplenty. Thanks to all the bros involved, by the way. Blue-Fire are fun guys (after the initial encounter, we sided with blue-fire and camped Quebec... since they had at least one capital on the other side of their wormhole).
Wormhole space is also very empty--most holes we roll are empty, but if you pre-occupy yourself with making sleeper gold/scanning further down chains/roaming the k-space entrances, a lot of time you encounter people later on. Its all a matter of ready, willing, and able--knowing how to bait and stalk also helps a lot too. Join End-of-Line, -EOL, today, and kill your CEO! (Terms and conditions apply.)

Actully i have found our space to be a rather full landscape of late and if memory serves me way back when Two Step was CSM he was able to get stats that showed infact the great majority of tower kilss have been in C1/2 space.
Come back with some stats or scan harder IMO. (Insert witty signature here) |

Nearly all the complaints I hear about how empty wormhole space is come from people with the wrong static or wrong hole. WH space can seems empty just because there aren't enough probers out exploring more of the chain; more often than not, it's the groups who aren't big enough to probe the huge chains down, but live in a C5/C5. I also hear it from groups who are too big, but have a C3 or C1 static on a C5. In this case, it's the opposite, they have ten people wanting to probe but their chain ends as soon as it starts.
To pretty much everyone who says WH space is dead, I counter by saying, change your hole. |

Two Step posting numbers when he was on the CSM that showed the amount of POSs getting removed in c2 space is almost identical to c5 space. The numbers also showed the average number of people on those POS kills to be very similar as well.
Obviously, just numbers doesn't tell the entire story but I found it to be rather striking. No trolling please |

In low end land , there isn't a lack of PvP from normal, but there is a big drop in the incidental PvP around. The Miners, the PI runners, the random HS dudes. I expected the random HS'ers to taper down as Odyssey newness cooled off and people realised that out here be Dragons. The miners have gone due to the Discovery Scanner, expected but still kinda lame. I'm really curious where all the PI runners have gone. Have player owned HS CO's meant people are moving their PI outside?
Also this time of year I find that due to Euro and AU Daylight Savings times, I end up a few hours more outside the EUTZ which doesn't start to heat up till 1am ish for me, where normally I can expect something a bit after DT 10-11pm ish). Are you just getting TZ f**ked?
Also we need better names for C1-4 and C5/6 over low/high. May I suggest Awesomeland and Terribadland? Maybe ProPvPville and Blobbers Paradise? |

I think everything that is wrong with wormholes has been highlighted in the WH townhall meeting that Chitsa held last week.
Townhall Recording: https://soundcloud.com/nylon-elephant/wormhole-town-hall-09-03-2014
At some point Malcanis, current CSM 8 member, is trying to debate with the wormholers but everything wrong with this community is being displayed in that argument. Wormhole people can't debate or disagree with parties outside their circles, and that included other wormholers.
Current CSM 8 members, Mike, Ali and Malcanis have given you all the advise, tips and the means to get your points across to CCP and get WH changes on the map... However, it will require you to communicate on the forums. Sadly, wormholers can't have a constructive conversation, as soon as a not-so-popular idea is mentioned, people are grabbing pitchforks and torches. Most topics end in trolling after 2 or 3 pages and the ones that don't never get anywhere because people only come here to troll anyways.

I have to stop this absurdity right there. "The WH townhall" was a select few individuals and most of those that run the major corps, these were at best a very small cross section of the WH community and i would be highly doubtful any of those present were from a class of WH's outside of a C5/6.
The whole meeting was so disorganized with only mere topics of conversation with no structure of debate, no outcome of consolidated ideas, no plan to get those achieved other then the subtle i am a CSM these are my views vote for me.
Malcanis while he had one good point that we needed to show support to our goals in one thread our CSM's can show off to CCP he then proceeded to take over a whole meeting to put his nullsec perspective ahead at every point in the debate. that guy should have been muted long ago and they showed a lot of restraint.
You say every thread here ends in trolling, that is simply not true. The ones that end in trolling are the completely stupid ideas that no one should support. A lot of ideas that come up on these forums are ideas that are skewed towards how a player or group of players play the game or how they want to, does that make these ideas good at all and mean they shouldn't be argued against. So many of the recent ideas here in the name of "conflict drivers" have the potential to make Wh space in certain areas become a wasteland and many other reasonable people can't just say nothing while ridiculous ideas are posted. While trolling does take place doesn't mistake reasonable argument as part of the pool of trolling.
I realize i and others have not given you much respect at all and while you continue to post on an alt don't expect that to change at all but you need to let go of this bizarre campaign you have going against quite a few people in the Wh community with your views on "trolling". Harden up or GTFO. (Insert witty signature here) |

I've attually tried talking to a couple csm members (who arent chista and james) and some of the idea's they have are so terrible you walk through why they are terrible and they just don't seem to get it at all.
One example was a csm members idea for blackholes to make the mass and time on them totally random no warnings on them going eol/crit. How many wh people would attually want to live in a blackhole when you have no idea at all of when that static is going to collapse I'm pretty sure they would be used even less than they are now.
I would also say that people outside the wh area are just as biased. I really want stations in null to be destroyable. I asked one csm about it and the replies i got were "seriouly????? are you ******* serious???? your joking right????" after explaining i wasnt and that in wh space when you get evicted or invaded you lose all your stuff in the wh (ok minus maybe a carrier and some ships in it) nearly every reason he had i simply countered with its happening already in wh space we're fine with it.
As for content in wh space I dont see a problem at all seems to be alot more people about we've had loads of great fights recently. I personally just put it down to looking for stuff to do |
