Yes, normally Contraband Inc. opperates under a policy of giving our targets advanced warning about an attack on their assets..... I do appologize, I'm not sure what happened there with our advanced notification process, we'll try to accomidate you better on that in the future. |

Hmmmm....half of Contraband docked in Serad after a few ganking episodes in G5, a day after their haulers did the station stocking runs. Contraband members following AoA pilots for another 3 or 4 days (they did end up in some funny places I must admit). Running around systems in covert ops ships making sniping holes and safe spots, targeting ships at gates and stations in high sec trying to entice some fire (I can lend you some snowballs if you are short btw).....
Nah, I don't think anything was noticed when a bunch of 3 and 4 year Eve vets from a Merc corp fresh out of a war come to town.
Mistyped postings not withstanding
May you drain the cowards that employed you of their funds. It would be damn funny if they are paying per ship though - Rifter, Kessie and T1 equipment bpos are pretty cheap these days I hear

From what I've heard, the same mistake was made on Old Earth, December 7th, 1941.
It'll be interesting to see how that war compares to this one.

Now to make known with all joking, statements, and sentiment on the war aside,be they good or bad, this war will serve out its purpose and Day 1 has seen favorable results in securing the expectations and deadlines of this ensuing war.
Here's to all the fallen who have come before, as you will most definitely be met with the many coming more.

I love how the war declaration comes in about 2 minutes before you go all Pearl Harbour on us. I have to say I was impressed by the suddeness and effectiveness of the attack.
I for one will not be logged off for the duration of the war like some of my alliance mates seem to say they will. You can't lock down dysa station ALL day can you .
We WILL form a counterstrike. Count on it. ------------------------------------------------
There, it has my avatar in it now. That makes it eve-related. No more sig nerfage please. |

For the record, still no indication of who your employers are, nor of any terms we need to agree to with your 'employers'.
Same old same old...
Three wars this year alone, all mercs, all with 'employers', and we still don't know who any of them are. (The employers that is)
Good job on the POS in dysa. Was an impressive fleet. The biggest (in terms of ship size) that I have ever seen. It was hilarious to see you put your own POS in the same location.
Oh and the alt in local that told you the location of the other POSes, that was a nice touch.
However... if somebody could notify at least one of us as to what your employer's terms are, it sure would move the negotiations forward.
Good luck to both sides in this, yet again, mysterious war. We survived the other two just fine (eve-online forum complaints of parking a carrier at a POS notwithstanding), and I am sure we will survive this one too. But, boy, somebody really wants us out of Dysa bad. It must be costing them a fortune!
Oh, and that was a clever trick with the 'typo'... lull us into a false sense of security by claiming that you are in Derelik to gank someone else under contract, then edit the post 5 minutes before deploying 6 dreads against a POS and a further 2 at the station with sizeable support. I must admit, I've never seen a merc corp do that yet. Hell, you are the first ones to even 'announce' it. Even if you did balls it up/lie through your teeth.
Kind regards Mattduk

2 Things for you
1. Try to imagine howmuch it would cost to hire a merc corp to deploy 8 dreads and a big support fleet on your alliance, Should give you an indication someone is not liking you.
2. Stop poking around for employer information. I'm pretty sure you've been told about 10 times now that there is only 1 person in our corp that you can contact for the details and thats Dol Amroth our CEO. The rest simply don't know anything, they just do what thier told and get paid, thats what being a merc means, in Contraband anyway (Oh yeah and lots of songs on vent too).
Thanks for being a good sport about losing a sizeable investment, despite what you might think, i've fought you guy's before, and have respect for most of the pilots that are willing to fight (except Mervaid, carriers @ POS was no fun)

Originally by: Conin Front page Contraband Inc's employer wishes to remain anonymous at this point, however once the primary objectives of the contract have been completed Contraband Inc. will be authorized to open up negotiations for surrender with AoA.
Contraband Inc. would like to thank AoA for not fueling their POS's with stronthium to make the opening opperation of our campaign run that much smoother.
as stated, once the time is right, negotiations will begin.
ReaperofSly thank you for the kind words, and being honest that you were impressed/shocked by the attack, its shame the ppl who said they were going AFK from game, couldnt admit the same thing. Also good luck, i hope you do not back down and begin to give us a fight. i hate camping stations for nothing.
However, if your theory is based totally upon us not being able to camp the station ALL day, then how you will fight us is flawed. i do believe something along the lines of 30+ ppl were camped in their home station last night, with less than that in the CONIN gang. I do hope the rest of the alliance is like you and does not turn to be apathetic and go log to play some other game, if only we could have read alliance chat, could have been entertaining.
Mattduk, its may, the fifth month. i think you should consider only 3 wars to be some what of a quiet time. Whether our employer is the same as the previous employers i do not know. there is only one person in CONIN who is in touch with the contractor. This is ensure Confidentiallity remains.
The Alt in local, we didnt know about. We assumed all alts were your alliance, since nobody could undock, a number of newb alt scouts were used.
I wish your alliance good luck, and i look forward to some interesting battles.
And yes it was a huge balls-up. Ajaya mis-read "Assembly of Ancients" as "Solstice Inc."

As has been said above speak to Dol Amroth ref contract.
However,
The reason you hire a merc corp to attack your enemies is because you cant or wont do it yourself.
so... the reason to remain unknown is so that you cant attack them back <><><><><><><><><>

Hey, I'm clueless. How much does it cost to hire a merc corp to deploy 8 dreads and a big support fleet on an alliance such as AoA?
Could I get a ball park figure within 30% of hi/low?

Though we face dire odds, my compatriots and I will fight tenaciously with what recourses are available. We will ultimately survive; though I am sure you will do your worst and demand quite the butcherÆs bill.
Good luck? Well have fun at least; IÆll hope the luck lies with us.

Ditto... we're gonna need it. We are, after all, just a small industrial alliance. No match for a merc corp with 8 dreads at their disposal.
But we'll try to make it fun. Podded two of them so far, and the war isn't official yet, so maybe we will do ok against 'normal' vessels. Sure is a learning process, and I'm loving it.
Ultimately they won't remove us. Cause us a lot of grief and loss of isk? Sure... but we'll stay here, and we will only get better and better at it :)
With regards to the smack, meh, smack all you want. It's all good, I won't be doing it, at least not intentionally. Apologies if anything I have said has come off as smack talk.
We await for contact to be made between the necessary people and for news as to what is required to end the war. We don't want a war, but I doubt very much we will negotiate with anyone. I'm just curious as to what AOA could possibly have done to upset someone so much, and since nobody is gonna say, I guess I will just have to wait.
Game on guys and gals. Make sure it stays fun, if you can. (Last night was a rush, and I didn't even fire a single weapon! ;))

MF, you guys were good. You did more than hurt us a little. But as I say, we will remain. :) BYDI were 'meh'. They had three other corporations (OMEN, XENOPHOBES and SYSTEMBOLAGET) help them, coincidentally, so they say, and they did a fraction of the damage you guys in MF did, and their collective wars lasted about two months.
If nothing else this is a nice comparison of the merc corps available out there. ;)

Very kind of you to say, was a good fight on the last night of the war when we were outnumbered in local but had no means to drop your POS, and mervaid was tucked up in there sending those pesky fighters around, good fun for all sides. However, now that CONIN are removing those POS, I think you will have to come up with a new plan. Best of luck to both parties, Dereliks' not bad for a laugh. ---:::---

Aye, and we thought we were moving here for peace and quite.
Again, MF, you did a great job, and you have some of the best interceptor pilots/tactics I've seen.
I guess I'll get to see CONINs pretty soon
Here's to some fun times, great misinformation/surpirise attack. Class stuff.

These constant wars on AOA, which is after all 80% industrial, are a mixed blessing. AOA biggest challenge will always be to retain its PvP pilots and to get its member to focus towards a common goal. By hiring Mercs on us, you have just dealt us a very nice blow
