Thanks for the fun gents, if frustration points its ugly nose, it is entirely our fault as we should be able to zerg your fleet.
I am not too happy at game mechanics, last night in dysa, we synchronized the undocking 5 bs, unfortunately came out lagged out one after the other, easy picking for you I didn't think it would happen in a local with +30. Oh well we knew we'd die with "panache"
/respect for Lopez and Maro for bringing these nice faction bs

It's all fun and all experience though and the new players in the corps are having a ball with all the running from camp sites, trying to outwit T2 ships in T1 ships, etc.
Bang for buck though (discounting the POS' here), I think we are slightly ahead in the war - especially going by some of the expensive bits of equipment that are ending up in our hangers .
Kudos to the tactical nouse of Conin though, it does show us PvP nubs what the game is capable of when played properly.
The kills/losses and ISK Killed and lost can be found on the Contraband Inc Killboard :

AoA guys if your people don't learn to at least train EW/give ships to fighters/fight for their right to 0.0 then they don't deserve to be there in the first place. If your alliance doesn't back up their pvpers then you will all wonder why you're in empire space before the year is through.

Man knows what he is on about believe me, dragging the industrial and pvp sections of a large alliance into working together for the mutual benefit of the whole is a task and a half.
Helped cos we're all soooo nice :)
H3ll just ask Oreh. **************************

That was great. I can't believe I was a miner for 2 months, luckily I have seen the light. :)
I look at this as a learning experience, I don't have the skills to kill much but I can learn from the PVP battles.

Our kill tracker uses average market prices for ships loses rather than build cost or insurance costs.
So a hac (depending on the model) is 150 mil rather than our build price.

They are an alliance not a corp. They were/are 750 strong. It would sadden me if they can't look after themselves since the bios of all the topdogs are full of killmails of pirates they have crushed

Ahh, but what if a realistic price had been listed for this kill?
Scratch one Navy Issue Megathron
That would at the very least be worth all of our total losses to date in this one ship (lots of officer loot dropped when it popped).

Well, to be fair to Huzzah, they did manage to beat BoB off when most of the Huzzah POS' were in reinforced (and took a couple of BoB one's into reinforced not long after). Not bad for an alliance with no capital ships remaining.

They may need it. In the immortal words of the pod-race commentator from Phantom Menace "It doesn't matter what language you speak, that had to have hurt."
Actually not them. Their employer needs the luck. My guess is that CI won't lose a single ISK on the loss of that ship. I just wonder how big a bill someone will get for this one.
Just out of curiosity, is that hull cost only, or hull cost plus destroyed mods?

Also, AOA folks should not feel the need to brag.
Xanthia, please do speak with Vulpis - I think he would agree.
Good fights Contraband.

Edited by: Zen Tao on 11/05/2006 07:26:46 The last few days have been by far the best of the 9 months I have spent in eve. I have learnt more about PvP than the whole other time put together. I have been forced to think beyond the normal tactics of bigger ship wins all. I enjoy being challenged and i call on the rest of AoA to rise to the challenge also.
I salute Contraband, or at least the ones i have fought in the AU timezone, they have stood and fought even when outnumbered. And in our defence - with a bit of luck we would have had the Dread last night - if only the carrier hadn't arrived !!!

As the coder of the board I had a look at the value of the Navy Mega on the board, sadly it was completely whacked, so I have adjusted it to a realistic figure.
In terms of other values, tech 1 ships (not factional) are based on base cost from the eve db, as that is what the insurance payment is based from. Factional ships and Tech 2 ships were based on market rates when i last updated the board.

Quote: I think its safe to say you can divide that by 3.
Gang sizes, wrecking hits and inty speeds are like fishing stories, prone to a little exaggeration
Might want to add corp sizes to that list to...
With so many members I find most corp numbers to be misleading, the higher it gets the bigger the chance for inaccuracy. Plus spanning all the timezones and different play times in those zones means seeing more than 1/5 on at one time will be rare.
From what I hear the combat people in TEGL are having fun and look to be learning a lot so keep up the good work !

The losses are what they are, but every pilot brings to combat only those ships that he or she can afford to lose. Some happen to be able to lose state-of-the-art gear, but that is indicative of the caliber of pilots that our clients hire. In the end, our losses do not matter - only the results that our client desires and we achieve. If we do so profitably, so much the better; if not, we will still get our results. That is our commitment to our clients, and that is why we don't bill losses through to the client. We distinguish ourselves from other mercenary firms by our willingness to bring considerable resources to bear on our targets and no fear in using them. We will meet the client's objective and/or satisfaction regardless of the cost.
In the case of this contract, we are quite certain that we will achieve their objectives.

Not to revolve the argument around ISK value but again remember which side is out a small POS with 250+mil of ships and more notably a large POS that was admittedly a twelve month old brainchild that was dismantled in one fell swoop. Did I mention Koldkut's pod?
Swallow that pill and the game is still on.
