Yup I will admit I was one of those peeps that said I'm staying away for this war but that was purely based on the 6 (sorry, 8) dreadnoughts + change in system. 55 in local and 26 were docked up which leads me to believe there was quite a contraband fleet out there. I wouldn't know as I was too scared to undock and have a look . Must admit I'm very impressed by your organisation though....yeah yeah 8 dreadnoughts and a mother ship was impressive I guess but tbh the thing that has piqued my interest the most was how you also had a sniping ship sitting at planet 1 which is a well known "insta warp" point from the station. *removes hat* MF did impress me in the last war but you are the first ones to impress me before the war has even officially started
Ah screw it, who am I kidding? I've been drawn back to Eve 3 times already due to war decs so I doubt I'm going to leave because of one. Good luck and have fun all. I want to see a good clean fight with no kidney punches (on me at least)

Pulling out the Capital Ships costs money. For that reason, we only bring them out to fufill a specific job.
For the rest of the war, I would be suprised to see that fleet again. We know that we won't get any engagements with you if we used them often. Eventhough we have a job to do, we also want to have fun doing it.
So... Dust off those gunz, come up with cunning tactics, AND most importantly, defend your Alliance/Corporation/Space/Assests. Remember, you are only as strong as your bond with your fellow corpmates.
Why else do you train skills, make isk, and grow your corp?

It's very important to realize that we are not here to make your ruin your game time AoA. Far from it, we are here to play with you.
Though you mention time to time that a large % of your alliance are industrial based, I'm sure you will also agree that it is always a good experience and an enjoyable one to learn the basics of combat with the opportunity arrives.
We are here, knocking at the door, asking you to come out a play a little before dinner time
GL to all, let the good times role!!!

I'm always up for losing a few ships. It's been fun so far, but damn some of those interceptors are fast! There is some rumor going 'round that Dol was doing 20k/s, but that can't possibly be right considering the speed records, can it?

I know that at least one pilot that was out yesterday has what it takes to break the current speed record... and that's even without ANY nanofibers or overdries :)

When Dol got popped yesterday, one of the destroyed modules was a Gistii A-Type 1MN MicroWarpdrive.... that must be one of the reasons for that speed :)

I think its safe to say you can divide that by 3.
Gang sizes, wrecking hits and inty speeds are like fishing stories, prone to a little exaggeration

I'm all about having a good fun fight but you folks have a hair-trigger on that Moros camping the station. If you seriously want to play then I'd suggest you try to restrain from overusing your advantage otherwise we'll pretty much have to just go off to do missions or some such. (DOD for the win!)

Wow the moros got undocked once today, and it was AFTER a fight, not in the middle of one.
If you want to find a reason to play DoD, id say try harder. -----------------

Anyway it seems war is good for business. I've sold more T1 junk in the past day than I have in the past couple of months. Thanks CONIN, keep up the good work . ------------------------------------------------

I guess with three interceptors and a Moros versus three T1 frigates the battle was pretty much over before it started so I'll concede you have a point although we certainly weren't technically dead before the Moros was on my overview so that part of my point still stands. :-P BTW, we hates that Moros precious as its drone bonuses (even in siege!) make it a nasty ship to have around our frigate class ships. It's a great choice for camping a station if you are willing to stoop so low.
I appreciate the fact that you haven't brought it out since then, however, which will surely make our joint experience of your camp of Dysa station more fun for us both! I certainly don't mind losing a few ships / clones (jump clones ftw!) in a good fight but I'm sure you'll agree that when faced with an overwhelming force that discretion is the better part of valor.

id like to point out you had 2 frigs and an osprey, that tried to gank one of our inties outside station. From that point i undocked, and another warped in. Despite using ECM, both frigs died and the osprey was caught later. Regardless tho, HUGE RESPECT to you guys for actually fighting. if the rest of your alliance took the same approach, maybe we could get some fights rather than ganks.

hrm...i really hate too see the smack roll out like this...but a couple facts need to be pointed out. You say the fight wasn't over until the moros got involved, well, i would like to point people too the killmails you received and tell me where on the mails in that fight the moros was involved, i can't help it if you sit wide eyed and let the frigs there kill you while you stare at my ship...but i can guarantee you it was not the deciding factor of the fight outside the station today.
Also...you claims state that you won't fight because we sway the odds in our favor yet forget to mention that at almost any given time we have been outnumbered....and also forget that it isn't our job to make this war fun for you...if you want to make it fun for yourself...i suggest you organize yourselves and be prepared to fight what we bring.

We didn't ask for this war, you guys shove it down our throats. So, it's not our task to make this war fun. Most of our pilots are industrials, miners and mission runners and would very much like to stay that. Granted, we do have some experienced PvP pilots in our ranks, but they are too few in numbers to stand up to a corp that is solely dedicated to PvP. Also, I simply cannot afford to lose any of my ships. My balance varies between 100 and 120 million most of the time. If I lose my ships now, I lose my bread and butter and can just as well cancel my account. So, I hope you enjoy camping the station or ganking the noobs in Yuzier. If you are looking for a good fight, look for a PvP corp to wardec :)

Who says we care if you guys make this war fun? We kill you, your poses, all of the targets our employer has laid down, it's been highly successful... I think our point is we get tired of the whining "omg we are just industrialists heavily outnumbered even though we usually have 2-4 times the numbers available that you do." It's simply inaccurate and untrue. You guys were flying around in tons of HAC's and BS's looking all tough before the dec hit, so there's no truth behind not having the numbers or people to fight :) |

yes...war is part of the game...and as a large entity whether industrial based or pvp based you will always have people who wish to target you for one reason or another, some may do so through mercs and others may do so themselves.
As i said before, we are here to get paid for a task that was laid before us...we will do our job to the best of our ability and expect nothing less of our target. Good luck again to all of AoA.

Edited by: Ajaya on 09/05/2006 23:27:59 Well, I'll just add a final note to this thread by saying, to those in AoA who have put up a fight, much respect to you. You guys have truely given it your all to protect and stand up for your alliance. To those who choose not to fight or play the game during this war, you really should reconsider, you're missing out on some fun :)
Now, this is a contract, and Contraband Inc. being the more professional mercenary corporation that it is (You'll have to excuse RichThugster for soiling our reputation now and then :P), I'm putting a gag order on my nublets on this thread to avoid any more nonsense. No more CONIN should reply to this thread. GL to AoA, and I look forward to smack talking you guys in local from my safespots while cloaked per normal Ajaya proceedure ;-) |

I hate to say anything against my own alliance but I am dismayed by the fact that we have about 700 pilots to your 70 but we cannot outnumber or outgun you no matter what we do. There never seem to be enough fighters available to us. There used to be plenty.
In the Omen wars, we had fleets of about 20 to 40 buzzing around. We had over 100 one time to take down an enemy POS in dysa. But now that a really tough enemy has reared its ugly head, a call to arms will get a response from about 5 to 10 people. Alliance chat is about a third as full as before the war. Where has everyone gone?
I reckon I have to be one of the top 5 individuals at least who have lost money and assets due to this war (not to mention losing the ability to fly HACs because of a podding incident). But I'm still playing and have no intention of logging off for this war.
Well done to all AoA pilots who are still fighting the good fight. It's good to know some people are taking advantage of the experience this war provides.
We shall fight on the planets, we shall fight on the docking ports, we shall fight in the warp bubbles and in the stations, we shall fight in the stars; we shall never surrender! ------------------------------------------------

Much appreciated. I enjoy the PvP. Hey thatÆs why I play.
IÆd be out more, but IÆve got some pressing issues on the burner IRL, so itÆs limiting my time. Probably just as well; IÆm still pretty new to Eve, so I wouldnÆt want to feed you too many killmails.
IÆll admit the odds are frustrating at times, but thatÆs no oneÆs fault but our own: 100 T1 frigates is a force in its own right.
IÆll see you on the field of battle.
