I got a few instas through those systems and went through without much incident during some off hours. I just can't help wondering if it gets boring just camping the gates in sniping battleships though :(

Belt piracy: Problem: belts are empty! Since the missions came into game only some Thorax n00bs fly hang arround in the belts. Searching them is possible but really hard work. All in all belt piracy can be funny but will not pay much ISK. 2.) 0.0 piracy: I¦ve done this 2 years and it worked pretty ok. But in past the 0.0-industrial traffic was reduced to a minimum. This means you have to fight experienced blobs of alliance pilots 23/7. You can fight them, you can even win very often, but only 1 BS-loss of your corp costs you ISK. But as pirates you need to MAKE ISK while fighting! 3.) Gate piracy in low sec. Here we go - that is the place where sooner or later everything that can be bought on the market will end in a loot can. People do not move their BPOs into a belt when they go mining. But when they move from A to B, they move BPOs, items, repackaged ships...through a gate! So this is where a true pirate belongs to! Wait for the big fat trader! Camping is a hunting style. If you watch a leopard hunting you¦ll find out he is a camper too. He might move arround, but most of the time he¦s waiting on a tree for stupid other animals passing by. Or spiders - those are masters of camping. They even create a net to increase they area of effect. I pass through them often with my ishkur and i usually don't even get hit a single time. With a fast ship chances are they wont even get to lock you before you are gone. Do not try it with a hauler though. Also use instas! ---------------------------------------- I am not an alt i am just young!(and hot)

Well, being a new player, I admit I have no experience with any of these kinds of piracy, but I can see where you are coming from. I have to admit I am a bit surprised that people would try to run through that system with anything valuable though. I mean, I was about a week old when I started playing around with the map settings, and that system immediately jumped out at me as a very bad place to be. Are there really that many people that just don't know (or care maybe?) how to use the map, or are they stupid enough to think that they will somehow be the one that makes it through. So, I have a question for the Tundragon guys though: do you ever make any mad enough to come back with a bunch of friends to hunt you down (the ever-classic "I'll go get my main/alliance/friends/gank group and teach you a lesson" type of player), and if so, what do you guys do to handle that? I'm enjoying hearing about life as a pirate in low-sec :) -Thelia

Was at least 30+ people at both gates, explosions everywhere.. multiple "Is warp scrambling xxyy" gumps appeared, didn't get noticed though. Feng Schui Minmatar The Ninja Coalition Phobos Alliance	Posted - 2007.04.05 11:48:00 - [69] /me kicks the dead thread.. or is that horse? again... pass through there all of the time in a shuttle, usually with 3-4 bpo/bpc's, as i really can't be bothered to go around. i have yet to be target locked (they usually camp both sides of the gate). main thing is to not autopilot through there, manually warp to 0.. and get either a shuttle, or interceptor (or frig, like slasher, with an inertial stab on it) My opinion is my own, not of my corp or my alliance. If you have problems, we can have a "who can do L4 missions faster" duel >:)

This is NOT good advice for anyone. Smartbomb BS with officer/faction smarties can kill a frig/shuttle before they manage to jump through. There is no guarantee of getting past a good gatecamp IF they are set up for killing the type of ship that you are flying on that particular day. 999 times out of 1000 - yeah - you are fine - but it only takes one to lose that fancy Hyperion BPO.... -------------------------------- So....

If you wanted to post that make a new rancer thread and let this thread fade into the abyss as all you said was hey I can make it through you can too. Your post was directed at a thread that was pre warp to 0, pre non snipe gate camps, pre wcs nerf. You shouldn't have made the post at all is what I'm saying.
