This is by far the rarest implant out there. I have not gotten one from my Agent. In fact, I have not gotten an Intelligence implant from her either. My agent is level 3, 19% Awesome quality, Caldari Business Tribunal. My standing with her is currently 10% Excellent and I've been doing these implant missions since 7%. She's given me plenty of the other implant types, just no Intelligence or Memory ones. If you've gotten a Memory implant, please list your Agent info.

I was thinking, maybe it depends on the corporation that you do it for, what area of space they are in, what they specialize in... just a thought, I am testing it out now, I am running missions in low sec for University of Caille.... (the scope) if they don't have those implants I wonder who does :)
Also, remember hog implants for when wars break out and people get podded, once they get used to these they will forever need em.

I have been doing mission for Pend Insurance the last two days and have gotten all types of implants except memory.
I really hope agents give all types of implants regardless of company since all my current agents are from Pend. |

I personally think area has a lot to do with it as well. My agents in sinq laison never give me int or mem ones but my agent for the same corp in everyshore does.
Just my take on it anyway |

Awesome (agent +17%, standing +10%)
I will try my -10%/6% agent all day tomorrow to see what implants he will give me. (If any )
I'll post the results here if anybody is interested...

Edited by: Jideo on 23/09/2003 19:02:28 Okay, here's a thought. How about the sub-race of your agent? I just noticed that my agent is Civire Caldari so her inate attibutes lean toward Perception and Willpower. Perhaps the implant types are tied in with what sub-race your agent belongs to.

Or maybe Memory implants are just very rare since more or less everyone has reported trouble finding them.

Duvolle Laboratories (Gallente) - Lenia Geditte, -17% qual +10 standing in Pelille - So far 2 +will implants and nothing else in 33 missions. (8 missions per implant for first 2, has been 15 since last one.)
Corp standing +6, race +10 ------------ Ezra Cornell pe0n, Xanadu Corporation |

Hi
I don't think it's tied to the sub-race of the agent because my agent is a Minmatar/Brutor and the lowest attributes for that race is intelligence and charisma.
And it's exactly the kind of implants i got from him.
Maybe it is tied to the sub-race, but in a way to increase the lowest attributes of your agent sub-race :)
Until now i did 55 missions with that agent (agent +19, standing +9) and i got 5 intel and 1 charisma implants
Bye

Don't think the races have anything to do there. My agent is intaki from the gallente federation navy.
Implants so far: 1. Perception (7) 2. Willpower (5) 3. Charisma (2) 4. Intelligence and Memory (0)

... Something else to consider. All implant missions require one to acquire and bring some goods (be it holo****, miniature electronics or whatever) Now, what if the agent only gives one the mission if the appropriate type of goods is actually available on the regional market, as otherwise the mission would be --in the eyes of agent-- impossible to finish?
The theory seems to be supported by the current market state -- holo**** is common, and so are perception implants. Miniature electronics is rarer to find, so are the intelligence implant missions... etc.
If this is the case, 'tis would be easy to fix by the players... just put up some of those required goods for sale, at insane price so no one buys them out. Agent will no see goods are available, and should issue the suitable implant missions... o.O
edit: 10 isks says if this is correct, we're gonna see implant mission farming to drive up the prices... :s

Edited by: Miri Tirzan on 24/09/2003 11:45:30 Well, so far I have gotten:
1. Charisma 4 2. Will 3 3. Perception 4 4. Int 1 (after 11 other implant missions) 5. Mem 0
in 42 missions since implants became available.

together makes a TON of sense! what are the trade goods needed for int/mem implants? Miniature electronics and? |

I noticed that i am getting: +charisma implants for polytextiles (call to uniformity)
+perception implants for ammo (happines is a warm gun)
I did get 1 of each will power and intellignece implants but don't remeber what was needed for those missions.

Holo**** got me my first willpower implant (20 units of it to be exact). Are willpower and charisma tied together? Perhaps there's a 50/50 chance of getting either one, for a given mission.

Edited by: Mirial on 24/09/2003 14:21:24 The goods theory seems to be working. Someone put up some miniature electronics at ridiculously high prices. Few missions later, my agent offers an intel implant mission, first time ever.
Now we just have to figure/find out what mem implant missions need and the implants should become much more common

If this theory is true then I am going to take a wild guess and say that the item for memory implants is robotics. It would make sense considering it is the most sought after trade good, so it wouldnt be around as much, therefor making it harder to get the memory implant.
Time to go find some robotics and try it out...

The item availability makes sense. Now all we need is someone to chime in who's gotten a memory implant.

Yeah, I think availability of items might just be the trick.. I just went on a 20 jump round trip to get myself 240 miniature electronics (400 isk a piece), and put them up for sale at 100000 isk a piece.. an hour later somebody bought 20..
Nice return for the round trip, if people will keep on buying, price is now 120000 isk a piece
Too bad I didn't get an int implant myself..

I thought Veruna had one. Mentioned something about having 19/19 int/mem.
Could be a reborn intaki though

I know some people here are sharing this information because they are genuinely interested but BLABBERMOUTHS
The problem is as soon as it becomes known what is required for the missions then those commodities become hot property as well. Well done Jack.
This means that not only will the missions be able to be controlled they can be 'farmed' - if you clear certain commodities then no implants, add certain commodities then you can get implants.
There are currently several people who have it in their power to get memory implants but have made a fundamental mistake and so cannot do so.
Implants Charisma - needs polytextiles Perception - needs ammo Willpower - needs holoreels Intelligence - needs Miniature Electronics Memory - needs . . . well i'll try to keep that to myself a bit longer.
I got 3 mem saturday, did something and got no more until today when I got 2 because of something i did last night.
If no-one guesses, i will let everyone know later today.
